  1. Brilliant to see a rider not having his head turned by the financial riches of the Premier League in GB. Good for him going to one of the lower league teams in his pursuit of happiness rather than money.

  2. Give us all 45 points to work with. Feck the Premiership.

  4. Good luck Glasgow, breath of fresh air instead of hot air we get from certain teams supporters

  5. Some of the meetings last year thought he had lol

  6. Don’t think you’ll find many riders that will race in the Ekstraliga and a championship club in the U.K. only leaving out the premier league. regardless of what happens with the league and playoffs and all the “Facenas are throwing money desperately trying to win the league.” Statements. I genuinely couldn’t give a hoot, because thanks to them we now get to watch Ben Basso fly around Ashfield for 16 league matches and that’s worth every single penny of the season ticket.

  7. Definitely would turn down Chris Holder

  8. Don't bite. When you're nearly 5 points over the alleged points limit tell me how you go about the next season without making changes

  9. I agree with your comments & clearly don't expect to see half of those riders in the UK. But GP rider Lambert didn't get his average re-assesed. Neither did Jakobsen, who will use his 2018 ave in 2023 (despite riding the required 6 league matches this year)!

  10. Best for his development..doesn't want to become a one track pony

  11. Yes that’s correct

  12. Think we should try and get TJ in the team this year would have been a good last signing if he had been doing the Championship last year

  13. Your looking for an improving rider though.Procter is not going to be one IMO

  14. Also need the points limit announced. Once I know the team building plans makes picking teams more fun (for me).

  15. This is just a guessing game till Berwick announce some signings though.

  17. 1) as Ruml got his average based at reserve for 90% of his fixtures, I'd rate Hume higher as he spent more time in the top 5. 2) before his last match of the season I'd have said it was too early for Ace in the Champ. But after he beat Masters at Redcar I quickly changed my mind!

  19. If i was a betting man which im not as its a mugs game !! Basso WILL join a Premiership team before the season starts in March

  20. Still much work, support and financial backing required I would think before the start of the season , hopefully local businesses and fans can really get behind the project and make a success of this new venture,

  21. Ben Basso gives off LIV golfer vibes. Don't know about other Panthers fans but I'm not too fussed about losing him tbh. Yes he's very good around Peterborough but he's on a 6.81 average and that doesn't represent good value for someone who was pretty poor away from home imo.

  22. Playing devils avocado maybe young Bowes cominig in, if i remember correctly isnt there some falling out between the riders/families and so if you want one you cannot have the other. Apologies if i'm getting all confused in my old age

  23. You're right, I looked at the wrong average, dropping Hume seems like an even worse decision now!

  27. I had an electric trials bike for a while, it was very impressive in most ways. Lack of power/ torque won't be a problem, there is a MX bike due to start being delivered anytime now that has various power settings but capable of producing 80hp. With electric motors that power can come in right from cracking the throttle if you want it to. The Trials bike and I believe the new MX bike came with assorted power maps as well so it can be equivalent to anything from 80cc to 500cc. I've seen electric bikes in flat track races as well and there is no doubt the lack of noise seems to detract from the spectacle. However with lack of noise comes a lack of complaints from neighbours as well so I am sure it opens up the possibility of motorcycle sports happening within towns again which is something that Speedway desperately misses. Indoor Speedway on a variety of surfaces is also far more possible. I would imagine one problem will be cost for a while yet, the Trials bikes are all but double the price of a petrol one and the Stark Varg MX bike is £10k which is a lot nearer a sensible price but still expensive for a Speedway bike. There is a possibility though that you could have series from kids through to GP's using exactly the same setup with different maps and bikes lasting for years with next to no maintenance. A lot of plusses but the big minus could be whether fans would ever accept quiet Speedway. Following the fuss about silencers and then further noise reduction (some seem to think the bikes are quiet now) I very much doubt that they will.

  28. Hume's home figure of 7.04 includes bonus points. 19 of them. His GSA figure is 5.39, lower than his away figure, which surely makes him a more valuable rider, as it gives his team a better chance of an away win. Away points win prizes! Just a pity is overall average is too high.

  29. Coles would be on a 2.00 ave. He would be the best option along with Mulford or Stoneman imo. Riders like Scott or Hodder would be more useful if being signed up as an asset, but I would say it's too early for Championship racing in 2023.

  35. Those that posted in topic first edited their post team by team as signings were confirmed. Just look at previous year's topics.

  36. Assuming Newcastle's matches are removed from the averages (as Eastbourne's were in 2021) Complin would be back on an assessed 4.00 ave.

  37. Would have Stoneman back especially on a 2pt average

  42. Zach refuses to sign for anyone then come March he is allowed to ride where he wants. Better if Mark Philips(integrity haha) says you want to use him you buy him!!

  43. You’ve really missed the point here. The top level riders aren’t going to come over here. One or two at the very most. So therefore a higher limit means the rich clubs will snap up 4/5 heat leaders and reach the 50 point limit. The others simply won’t be able to go higher than 40 if they are lucky - as there won’t be any riders of that quality left. And they will get thrashed every week. Therefore the only way to have distinction between the leagues is for the Championship to lower its limit. Look, I wish it wasn’t the case as much as the next person, but it is what it is.

  45. Well done to all concerned at Coventry. So nice to hear some positivity.

  46. This argument Max vs Jack is pretty uninteresting and petty... They're both GP riders, both brilliant in the UK, can we not just be happy to have big names riding in Britain because not many of them do, even in positives people find something to moan about
    1 point
  47. Yes that’s right and to finish above jack he would need to finish on the rostrum again and jack not score any points for him to finish higher. Jack outscored max 7 times so because max got 1 podium he’s better is he. To be world champion you have to score more than the rest so I would think if you outscore another rider you are the better rider. If you think max is better that’s your opinion but I don’t get your logic
