Speedway hopefully returning to Somerset and 15 minutes or so up the road from the old track. Let’s keep our fingers crossed!7 points

Sorry. Maybe the new owner will build new stadium next to your house if you ask him nicely4 points

Very, very good talent. If he can regain the form he showed when he got injured, his starting average will be significantly improved upon. Delighted this one is now confirmed.4 points

Does anybody really give a ...... Newcastle fans/threads should be welcome anywhere anytime if it helps maintain interest.4 points

Exactly that. Trophies are a bonus when you have great racing. If you don’t have great racing, they’re the only thing… and then, the numbers don’t add up. The best thing about the Facennas isn’t the money thrown at riders, it’s the investment in the track and the product. Plus a great team of track staff - Paul, Chris and the others invest incredible hours putting it together during the season and they almost always get it spot on, which isn’t always easy with our weather.3 points

Don't think so, Complin's away ave was far better than his home ave for Newcastle. Put him on a home track he likes & his average could rise.3 points

But what if it is the team,,,,,, you will be like a beach ball that some has just stuck a fag into.3 points

It does seem a lot of people are jealous of glasgow tho, int just about a trophy tigers win most weeks with a top race track & product give me that every time over clubs who rak up big home wins with zero racing & entertainment...without racing the sport goes simple2 points

A few seniors at Peterborough didn’t pay anything to get in for the last two seasons apparently. Their excuse? They were riding for the Panthers!2 points

You don’t fully grasp the concept that the clubs worked together that both were happy with. And not one or the other being quick enough as you put it to get deals done, both clubs would have to agree the deal. But your version probably suits your comfort blanket better that is Glasgow bad Poole good.2 points

The selection is based on averages in both leagues and Brennan has exceeded the threshold, plus I don't think he needs the protection of the RS scheme any more anyway.2 points

Funny you should say that, I just looked through the website trying to find an answer. There's no mention of it in ticket section, but the press release/news story states the following... *Advanced tickets are available until midnight the day before the event date. The above admission prices include a ticket booking fee.2 points

Bickley seems to have followed a similar career trajectory as jack Thomas until 2 years ago. Jack signed for us as a teenager and looked a prospect but stagnated as a 2/3 pointer for 3/4 years. Penny seemed to drop at Birmingham in 2021 and looks a totally different rider nowadays (on steal of an average too imo). Hopefully same thing happens with Kyle, might never be world champion but sure can have a decent career at it2 points

If he doesn’t improve significantly this season from a reserve position in a very weak league there’s something wrong.2 points
-
Is it though? Much weaker league were a lot of teams are running either one or two 2.00 riders. I’d fancy him to beat them more often that not home and away. If doing that I’d fancy him to get 4/5 points a meeting which is doing his job at 7. Also now at a track he’s always scored reasonably well at and will help boost his confidence and he won’t be put under any pressure.2 points
-
Doubt it. In 2009, he was faster than Jason Lyons and obviously going right to the top, but with all of his injuries he would be better off now in the NL.2 points

15 minutes based upon fifteen heats (?) but I remember the days of Second Halves when either the "main players" took part with a smattering of assets/juniors (we had the likes of Eastbourne & Peterborough riders take part due to the promotional tie-up at Cowley/White City) and later Junior Matches plus, of course, the occasional Golden/Silver Helmet Match Race(s) thrown in plus Individual/4TT/3TT/Pairs/Test Matches which had a variety of race formulae. Meetings often had up to twenty races at times. It's often argued that many left after the main event and that was their prerogative but many stayed on to catch all the action and therefore got more for their money.2 points

At times over the last two or three seasons Jorgensen has been the only Lynn rider worth watching at home, he is exciting and rides Lynn well, and to be fair his away form improved too in 2022. This time last year I'd have agreed with you but for me he gets in on merit for next season. Cares about the club too which goes a long way.2 points

Still not sure about £22 on the day one especially if the weather forecast isn't great.1 point

At a massive crossroads in his career, hopefully this move will kick-start things for him again. One of those riders who has found the jump from NL to Champs too big unfortunately.1 point

All riders should feel under pressure - from within, from their promoters, their family and their fans. Do you not think Bartosz Zmarzlik feels under pressure? I have been aware of Kyle since his British Youth Championship years when there were three stand out riders - Kyle, Tom Brennan and Leon Flint. When Kyle was 15, he was the best of these three but seems to have lost his way and I don’t know why. I was aware that there was great family pressure on him to succeed so maybe that didn’t help. But then Brennan and Flint were also being pushed by their families. Maybe the difference was these two weren’t being promoted to would be sponsors to the same extent? I would love this to be Kyle’s breakthrough year and for him to put the past behind him. I gather he’s got a job outside speedway which has to help - being a full time rider at his level (indeed, at many levels) isn’t really a proper job. His actual average seems to be under 3 so there’s loads of room for improvement.1 point

Where are the heat winners going to come from outside of Nick Morris? Questionable team building to put it politely.1 point

So Kyle Bickley completes his set of signing for all the Northern teams. Quite a change going from the bigger tracks of Workington, Glasgow and Berwick to the tighter Armadale. Hopefully the change will bring out the potential said to be there.1 point
