  2. Why can't last season's teams be used. It is after all last season's competition.

  3. I recommend Proctor on the 7th of December! If he's good I'll remind everyone, if he's poor I'll delete this post lol!

  4. 1. REDCAR (Shanes was the only weak link, He's gone now so Redcar now moves up into first position in my rankings) 2. POOLE (Whoever replaces Thomas will be decent enough, Another strong campaign in store) 3. GLASGOW (Strong side but they're a tiny bit behind Redcar and Poole imo) 4. SCUNTHORPE (Strong from top to bottom) 5. PLYMOUTH (My biggest downgrade after initally placing them very highly, Jake Turner could easily be George Congreve 2.0 and the 2.00 pointer won't do much imo) 6. EDINBURGH (All about Craig Cook, If Cookie rediscovers some of his old form then Edinburgh will be the dark horses imo) 7. OXFORD (Tail is too long to make the play-offs imo) 8. BERWICK (Toothless at reserve) 9. BIRMINGHAM (Nothing positive to say unfortunately, It's a team of reserves + Sedgmen & Morris)

  7. My predictions were based on riders averages (where they will finish up) I have no knowledge of Turner so left him at 4.00, after I read enough comments decided to drop that to 3.00! Anyway that's what should happen in a forum, if someone puts up a good counter point, forum users can re-think their opinions lol! It can be done, (quoting posts from different pages)!

  10. No Neil you have hit it on the head... let down by the sheet roof guy so having to source pits roofing from elsewhere... perimeter fence due to go in and not before time which should add some security to the site... track electrics going in this weekend I've been told... which is nice to know cos am getting that job apparently... and if the pit roof goes on this Saturday the pit lighting will be getting wired in on Sunday... the centre green has been levelled out and Steve is grading the track continuously to try and get it to bind better... seating structures are imminent but it's massive like a big mecano set and is causing a few logistic problems so rethink on those going on... other than that everything is going in the right direction... 11. True I remember when Pizza Hut had those 18 inch pizzas always asked if you wanted it cut into 6 or 12 slices. I always got 6 as I don’t think I could’ve ate 12.

  12. Last week's speedway star said a feature on the new Workington track is in this week's edition, saw some photos at the weekend, pits up roof still to put on. The viewing terraces/banking starting to green up and looks to be great viewing, maybe THJ has more inside info

  15. Just reading thru' some Oxford programmes (1986) and it mentions the less than friendly "cabbage patch kids" from Dudley who apparenetly threw objects at the victorious "Cheetahs" after one of many wins Oxford enjoyed at Cradley. Yes we made it a habit winning there...great days!

  16. Think that's a little unfair on Bjarne to be honest, was a good servant to British speedway and always tried,in his prime certainly wasn't average and think he had quite a say in Peterborough's league title in 2021.

  17. I've messaged one of the directors of Poznan to see if he knows yet. It was mentioned somewhere last week that they are still waiting for confirmation but they think it'll be Sunday at 1400. I'll confirm once I have the answer..

  18. This would make the most sense, the riders who helped their team qualify for the final, get to race in the final!

  19. I reckon it`s 50/50 at the moment if it`s going to be on the Saturday or Sunday. We know that Eleven Sport have the 2 Extraleague matches on the Saturday and Canal sport 5 the 2 on the Sunday. That means that Canal Sport 5 might not be to bothered if a Saturday Div 1 match they are showing overlaps the Extraleague coverage on the other channel. It`s going to be nigh impossible for the 8 matches on Sat/Sun to all be on TV at different times so Canal + might show some Div 1 on the internet only channel.

Entry for non-members is £4 with all proceeds going to help Neil Vatcher and the GB Young Lions. The venue is the Brandon Club (CV8 3HW) which is just down the road from the stadium. 22. Of course all the rotten promoters were Conservatives and the decent ones Labour. Such is life or life as the left wing loonies on here would like us all to believe

  23. I think you are spot on. I expect him to do really well in the Premiership too. ———— As some others have said now, Rew rides for Gdansk in Poland in 2023. They will ride on Saturdays and Sundays mostly I believe.

  25. So the answer is no. The then Poole promotion would have known full well how financially close to the edge they were. It’s bad enough not paying “tradespeople and riders” but to bank someone else’s money in your account when there’s a doubt that you’ll be able to pay it over is unforgivable. In my view

  26. Tend to agree, given his social media post saying thanks for making it happen. Reading between the lines it feels pretty last minute and the outing in France was to test his appetite for the sport again. Has been a big if with him over the last few years, not sure he's completed more than one heat in a rain off for about 10 years at PB but he was always pretty handy around there. On paper he should be the pick of the 4 and under riders in the league bar Edwards, really hope he is but I just can't see it.

  27. If and its a big IF...he lasts the season....then he will most likely be the only rider that improves his average (marginally...) Personally, I think it's a replacement for Tate Zische....just my thoughts. I think a Kangeroo should be our new mascot!

  28. And they were right then - will they be right this time as well? I’ll admit it’s a signing that’s surprised me, and it’s definitely a gamble. But then, in my view, less of a gamble than Manzares.

  32. Goret is a much better rider abroad, and Proctor is probably a much better rider over here

  33. Hes same as Bjanne Pedersen good on a certain day but bang average most of the time.

  34. Didn’t Goret get double figures in that one? And he really struggled over here. big fan of Proctor as a bloke but can’t see him making an impact, or he’s agreed to be a stop gap while they wait for someone else to come in

  35. Certainly the greatest self-promoter of all time, and while undoubtedly one of the most important in the sport's history there are others.

  36. 1) Sheffield - look to have strength in all the right places, heat leaders not as strong as some others (but not weak either), but make up for it elsewhere & look to have good reserves. 2) King's Lynn - solid top 6 & should have the strongest reserve in the league. While they don't have any top heat leaders, they make up for it with their second strings / number 6. 3) Wolverhampton - very solid top 5, could all average 7+. No superstars, but a decent number one & the strongest RS. 4) Ipswich - powerhouse top 2. Rest of the top 5 isn't as strong as any of the teams I've placed above them. 5) Belle Vue - fantastic number one & a good number 2. Not quite got 3rd heat leader / second string strength. Have the weakest RS. However home track form could help with bonus points! 6) Peterborough - great number one. But after that doesn't look so good. Not an awful team just, don't see much improvement in the rest of the team. Other teams simply look better. 7) Leicester - top 4 looks great, but think Sedgmen / Allen is where they are weak. Sedgmen would be an ok reserve but don't see him as a top 5 rider. I do feel all the teams look strong enough to win plenty of their home matches, so I don't think anyone will be cast adrift & this could be the closest league for some time. The more I compare teams, I realise most of the number 6s could end up on similar averages: Blodorn, Hume, Allen, & both Cooks. So I feel they cancel themselves out, with King's Lynn & Sheffield having the advantage there.

  37. Interested to know why you think this? Did it make the eBikes seem worse and so they would seem better on their own, or was it just that you weren't interested in them? Genuine questions with no agenda from me

  38. Don’t think they count on this occasion. They probably would have pinned it right enough. This not being pinned is a disaster on a par with Poole fans taking over every other thread on here.

  39. Has this not been pinned yet. Whats happening with the world unacceptable . Should have been pinned at least last week sack the mods.
