Today just about sums up what a shambles this once great sport has become team managers swapping clubs when there own team is riding the crazy situation with Riss when Ipswich running a 6 man team and Riss guesting for Pboro - when you think you’ve seen it all it’s sinks to whole new level

don't forget an Ipswich rider guests for Peterborough while Ipswich are riding WITHOUT his replacement due to injury so Witches are operating R/R for their riders 28 day replacement while their rider rides elsewhere hahahaha The jokers never officially left Speedway

Jesus Christ! Even team managers are doubling up now! So we now have a sport where Promoters, Riders & Managers all double up... just when you think any more sporting integrity can't be lost, it happens again!

Not sure I will be going to watch the meeting tonight. Can I send a guest fan in my place?

A Peterborough Manager "guests" for King's Lynn, whilst his team ride at Wolves.. Whilst a Witches rider, who cannot ride for Ihis own team, "guests" for Peterborough, the team whose Manager is "guesting" for King's Lynn.. An official statement has been put out though I believe... It simply says... "Please, please, please come and watch this nonsense we continually serve up to you".... "Oh. And we almost forgot".. "Bring a friend as well".......

And cleaning the toilets while hes there apparently

Utterly ridiculous situation! A continuing shambles in the administration of the sport with no lessons being learned from previous debcales I suppose there has been one achievement this season - to successfully sink lower in the credibility ratings despite seemingly hitting the floor We need to "dig deep" - remind me how it went for the company using that tag line........

A close source has said; "City are in shock at the small turn out for the parade after realising there's more in the queue at the National Speedway Stadium, even knowing it's likely to be rained off."

They have the sport they want... A cozy closed shop which is nothing more than a play thing/hobby for them.. The fans who still take it seriously go along with them, colluding that what is being served up has some relevance and kudos.. It has neither... The play offs get "bumper crowds" because many who dont attend regularly (solely down to how the sport is ran), turn up for "one night only" knowing that they will be part of a decent crowd and feel like they are at an "event".. In short.. It will actually feel like a proper team sport for an evening, (just an evening)... For many, here is the script... Attend Play offs, season ends, attend first meeting the following season as "starved of Speedway", stop going, pick and choose meetings when star names are in your town, attend play offs... Rinse and Repeat... The promoters, as they show by this evening, dont take it seriously themselves, so why should the fans? Apologies if this sounds like moaning... I will put up some air fences in the future.. Not cleaning out any bogs though... I will bring a "guest" in for that.. Or apply for a BCR (Bog Cleaner Replacement) facility... Edit: You can see tonight how seriously the Promoters and Riders take it.. When a Manager can swap sides with his own team somewhere else, and a rider be happy to take a booking riding for a team that isn't his own, when his own team has a match, it tells you everything about why it can never be taken seriously from a "team sport" concept. .. As even those who belong to teams have zero emotional attachment to them, hence represent someone else without a moments hesitation. .. In a "proper team sport", (that meant something), neither would have have taken either role as their loyalty would be solely to their own team and no one else... And let's face it, in a "proper team sport", they wouldn't be asked. .. (Imagine the reaction if they did this in Poland?)...

Great advert to speedway tonight. Bob done a superb job with the track too considering the extreme heat also. Dirt on the track suits our riders. All the lads did their bit and Rew really showing his development with some smart moves to overtake and more importantly maintain positions. King back on form after a very questionable 2nd ride

You can only use one tac sub can you not? Didn't see Holder looking at the pits on one wheel as he went over the line in heat 13!

And stupidly, come November we will all hope for some positive news and live in hope that at the AGM they have listened to the fans and come up with a product worth supporting next year…. Until March and then the cycle starts again!

It's like a weird comedy show. It's a shame it wasn't the Panthers meeting on TV,,, and tonight Riss guest for the Panthers who normally races for Ipswich,,who are also racing tonight,,,any what's going on at Ipswich,, tonight Barker races his last meeting as injury cover for Riss,,, who is no longer injured and is guesting for the Panthers, hey??? Only in speedway

It's a shame it's this way but as a starting point keeping meetings competitive is a big step forward for us at present.

Very poor is kind, the camera operation and production is terrible. The use of wide and zoomed in shots is all over the place. Not sure which production company WBD use but they need to employ people understand the sport.

The attendance thing gets done to death on here. I’ll bet there’s more here tonight then any other club get on a TV night. We’re not all crammed in to a certain section though, the crowd are spread across a stadium with a 12000 capacity (biggest in the country).

While I agree to an extent it's hard to say where we would've done better. Bomber, tom and claus were only beaten by Richie. Marcin getting paid 7 is very acceptable and Lee had one of best meetings for a while. Maybe 7 from Ben was a bit low and ace struggled but overall hard to say what more could be expected

I don't think there's any need for him to "kick on" at another club. I'd suggest a 5 point Champ rider, getting a 3.1 ave in his first Prem season is already showing good progress. Averaging better than Rowe, Edwards, Thomas, Mulford, Jenkins & Palin did in their first "rising star" opportunities. If he gets another RS spot & carries on with his current form, he's done well for me!

Any owner that cared for Peterborough speedway wouldn't be allowing this to happen.

I would, but there's a 25% reduction applied to any guest fans that attend in my place at present.

Actually rule 19.2.5 of the regulations (2023) allows any team member to take an r/r ride, whenever the absent rider's first and surname initials are the same. Happy days

Who is the person making the decisions at our club this season?...its like they are trying to embarrass us on what's looking like our last ever season...what a way to go out...it's really sad.
