Angry doesn’t describe how I’m feeling right now so I’ll be careful what I say but people behind me in the queue who were on holiday could not get there money back just a stamped ticket what good is that to them they asked the ladies in the booth to can they speak to the promoter they were told to go and find him.someone else asked for there money back was told the same or to email Plymouth gladiators when they asked for the email address the ladies didn’t no it absolutely heartbreaking to see the club I support becoming a laughing stock I don’t no nothing about track prep but I no we haven’t had rain since 11 this morning and that was drizzle not everyone can afford to just have a ticket stamped some people it comes out of there family budget and if they could have had there money back maybe they could do something else with there kids this week.8 points

Get sone sawdust down... Put sone red boiler suits on.... Remove goggles by end of lap two each race.. And. Look sideways, not forwards, as you ride the bike.... Wipe face clean when you get back to the pits... A big mug of hot steaming tea, three sugars, in between races. Proper Speedway...8 points

I'm loathe to criticise any promotion as know there's so much time effort and money goes in to running a speedway club. But that's 2 entirely avoidable instances in a under a week that just bring embarrassment to the sport and turn off what few fans we have left.7 points

That’s a few older riders putting pressure on the younger ones. BSN not pulling punches. Not enough work done on the track earlier enough and it’s a half arsed effort from the Plymouth promotion. Be lucky to see most of them back next time. Bad bad Bad.5 points

How much money has been wasted, ambulance hire, BSN turning up and setting up, saw a few bandit fans so travel costs etc. How many of those that showed up and paid money will be back next Tuesday for Redcar? I have never ridden a bike or graded a track in my life, but In my present profession and past employment I have alway adopted the 6 P's, Prior Preparation Prevents Pi$$ Poor Performance. If as Greg has stated, that they had been there since midday and nothing was done until one hour before tapes up was schedule, have the Plymouth track team put in sufficient "preparation"?4 points

Greg Blair spot on about that lack of track prep and the Plymouth promotions half arsed effort!4 points

i have no problem with the meeting being called off but the way this has developed makes plymouth look very amateurish. if they know the sandy base doesn’t hold up to a lot of rain then surely this should have been called off earlier today4 points

I agree with all above, but just to add that It baffles me that some need passing for it to be a good race, the heat 5 of Dan v Tai was a great race with no passing. Going back to your post the atmosphere is what gets fans coming back, tonight was sensational, and the aggregate bonus point kept it going all the way.4 points

Nothing to do with high tides? Everything to do with no track prep til 6pm, according to BSN who were there from 12 noon ish! Anyway moving on. BSN viewers will enjoy a top notch meeting tomorrow. A spit more of rain due overnight but the track will be fine for Pirates v Cheetahs! Might even get a Super heat?!3 points

More than Rory clearly! Why was Ritchie Worrall shaking his head after his laps??? Leon certainly wasn't happy! It's clear Jye wasn't either!! If that track wasn't safe to ride then why should they go out! People pay their money to see riders going full throttle for 15 heats.. that wasn't going to be the case if it had went ahead!! Like Greg said, just a half arsed effort from the Plymouth promotion... Why were they not there from midday doing everything they could?3 points

Sorry Plymouth Speedway, but that`s just not good enough, and no amount of apologies will disguise this shambles.3 points

I do hope this doesn't mean no Greg Blair for a while, I find him very funny and I think he managed the filler on Friday very well.3 points

You can't blame the clubs. They want to win and will do what it takes to achieve that, otherwise they might as well just give up now. It may not sit right with some people (me included, to be fair), but the ones to blame are those running the sport and allowing it to happen.3 points

Let's be honest here..someone who states on a press release "I swear on my grandchildrens life" either has something to hide or hasn't got a lot about them as a person..His press releases are knee jerk to when he gets stick on here and downright woeful. Everything he does is just so unprofessional so I know which story I believe more.3 points

Unless I missed it I didn't see a post for it. With 6 league matches left and only 2 points short of a playoff spot for Berwick it's all to play for. For Plymouth it's been well over a month, probably closer to 2 since they've turned a bike and with 9 meetings left and 4 points to make up on Edinburgh it's far from over. Live stream on BSN tonight.2 points

Reminiscent of Glasgow Vs Leicester of few years ago and we all know who was front and centre wanting that off. Oh and he's there tonight too2 points

What’s really annoying is when it happened last year I honestly thought they would close the loophole so it couldn’t be done again. However what they’ve actually done is make it possible to change your team virtually at the end of the season, and not just for injuries but anyone, such as Lawson, who has earnt his team a spot in the playoffs.2 points

Among the items coming up at a Graham Budd timed auction on August 27 (lot 2278) is a un-redeemed (!) Grand Stand ticket for the World Final which was to be held on Thursday September 7th 1939 which of course never took place because of WW2. I wonder if they got their money back? The printed price was 2/6 but overstamped at 2 shillings for some reason.. One assumes the programme for the meeting was trashed unless someone knows otherwise.2 points

From the "highlights" shown in the breaks on Eurosport, that did look like a well contested match for which a draw would have been a fair result (were such a thing possible). 9+1 from 5 for Doyley has to count as a victory for the Peterborough lads. But Emil was class. He is the league's number 1 star this year, no question.2 points

Still easier to understand than the chaos of the last couple of seasons in my opinion. Different points for different margins of away wins, etc. Had more columns than the Pantheon.2 points

Great to have him riding over here isnt it? Even though he rode through the pits and tested his clutch... And practised a start on parade without a helmet on.. Got booed too by the fans next to the pit entrance and was laughing his knackers off... Got the Aces an extra, at least, 300~400 or so in last night I reckon.... Hope he can stay when Jack comes back...2 points

Grandstand holds 1800 and there was 500 tickets left so 1300 in there. probably 600+ in south. So I say about 2k there. Maybe slightly over which is good for a TV meeting. atmosphere was like a final and Sheffield fans played there part. was an ok meeting till the last few races. I went home happy and feel like I got value for money and I’d think every fan did to2 points

I do want to go to the NSS - however for me it would involve going through the snake on a Monday night and hitting the Glossop and traffic as you head up to the M67 - its always a bottleneck and every time i have thought about it i cant face doing it! It theory it is an hour door to door for me but i would have to be out of work sharpish to get there. What was the crowd? The Grandstand holds 3700 it says - and it was what half full, maybe 60% full? That's approaching 2k people with a decent number down the back straight - so the crowd was 2500 maybe more? In these times thats not too bad an attendance. I the two times i have been the Owlerton this season the crowds have probably been about the same - possibly higher. There was one or two races that would have been great to see live, particularly heats 13 and 15.2 points

Just watched it thoroughly enjoyed it, also atmosphere at Monmore was really good tonight and Peterborough highlights looked good2 points

Brilliant meeting that, atmosphere was sensational. If speedway was like that every week it would be full stands.2 points

just got back i got my moneys worth, enjoyed it even the so called boring races, not as boring when you are there. also felt a bit of a atmosphere . Conner baily rode very well. and Ellis and Kerr had their moments, the top lads go without saying.2 points

Seemed a decent crowd for a TV match too.. A few Sheffield fans there as well to add a bit of atmosphere.. Woffy added a bit of panto villain moments as well.. Booooooooo!!!! My lad said "if it was like this every week the place would be packed"... He isn't wrong...2 points

Leicester would have won comfortably with Bomber and Batchelor, Cook was as expected.2 points

My God TV meeting threads are full of moaning and groaning. Certainly nowhere near the best NSS meeting you've seen due to the grippiness/recent rain but those last few heats were excellent. Still comfortably the best track in the UK if not the world.2 points
