Let's just enjoy this season and don't even think about moving up, as it won't happen, too expensive, no lighting etc. So let's leave it there and enjoy to journey this season win lose or draw UTC6 points

I hope not …. We probably shouldn’t of gone up this year imo but here we are and we’ve done an amazing job in such a short time4 points

Why not go support the 6 that are going to be putting 100% in for your club? And Scotty Nicholls isn’t no slouch3 points

Rain due Monday which isn’t promising.. if things do change with the forecast I fancy Sheffield to win this by 10 points. We ran Oxford very close after having no laps as a team before this. Similar kind of track shape I think we will start better. hoping for some good racing I will be making the trip down Monday2 points

He’ll do a job especially at home. Struggled a bit away last season but should easily ride to his average2 points

That's OK then Are you suggesting that a drug dealer like Courtney, couriering tens of thousands of pounds worth of drugs, is not as bad as (say) Richie Worrall snorting a line of coke at a party? Seems a strange take!2 points

Good familiarisation / reacquaintance session for the 6 riders all of which looked good. Tate in particular caught the eye with his ultra smooth transitions from straights to bends, well executed fast gates and use of different lines. Antti also looked very assured and reminded a bit of Peter Kildemand with his right leg lifts coming off the bends, great stuff. Celina was right on the pace and looked as smooth as silk. Sam has obviously grown since last season and was also very smooth, found myself thinking that some start coaching would be beneficial to him . Probably first time Batch has seen the track, he spent a bit of time later in the session more focussed on starts which looked excellent looked to me. It was good to see Cookie back on the track and it wasn't long before he was bouncing the back wheel off the kick boards. Would love him to have a good trouble free season. Excited to see who we announce this evening in the Waverley. UTC2 points

Sadly I have, multiple passes in multiple heats ? The only multiple passes I observed were the people rushing to the car park after heat 15.2 points

A few have already mentioned on here about Tate and Celina being down the track a lot since their arrival but also nice to see them chipping in and helping out on jobs around the place, great for them to build a relationship too. I’ve met both of them and although we’ve yet to see them on track I can say they will be great with the supporters. Anyway today is the day down to the serious stuff, hope to see at few at the Waverley for a pint too !2 points

As a Workington supporter I feel the pain of all the Panthers and Wolves fans who have lost their beloved Speedway. Please keep fighting and don't give up hope.2 points

Before Kemp locked up Leicester were on a 3-3. Once Joe T fell, if Kemp was excluded & Joe awarded 2nd, they would have lost the heat 2-4. That's not an advantage. Kemp's mistake (rightly) cost them points.2 points

Calls for a second chance for that crackhead Garrity are ridiculous. The guys a junkie who robbed old and vulnerable people. Has a big history of robbing team mates as well and being nothing but hassle as well as being a liability on track. Should never be granted a license to ride ever again and Lewy's comments must of been a wind up as nobody with half a brain would post such rubbish.2 points

His away average was a point higher than what he’s been signed on, so he’ll be fine. He’s the best value rider on the league, on a rolling average/2023 average basis.1 point

wonder if anyone gave in claus agreed less than he wanted or comets paid more than they wanted either way it might just be a decent team craig and troy are the 2 who realy need to prove anything1 point

Not much home track advantage then Lewy for the first few weeks - assuming the meetings are going to be on?1 point

worst kept secret over last few days should have said at track to give all who braved the cold the news first even been people showing others texts from claus himself1 point

In terms of speedway of course it’s ‘not as bad’. I’d trust a drug mule to not cause an on track injury over a drug taker.1 point

I think people used to look at Wimbledon as being the only track that had races OVER 4 laps because of the finish line being further along than the tapes1 point

Would Garrity even be better than Morley anyway? Not ridden for a few years. Won't have up to date equipment etc. I wouldn't pick him anyway, no matter how good he might be. Not after the crime he committed.1 point

I’ve backed my team through thick and thin and I no the devastation what some one like that has done, I also no what the person it’s happened to is like after wards if that man comes anywhere near Plymouth speedway I never will again I’d rather get beat every week that put money in his pocket.1 point

The interesting point in the official referee's scorecard is that neither rider was disqualified in heat 2. They were just registered as having fallen.1 point

two formula 1 cars from the same team collide on the run in to the line and crash out of the race. the referee doesn’t award either car points so why does he need to here? was the race actually stopped? i don’t recall the red lights coming on. maybe the Lynn rider was past the stricken Leicester duo before the ref had a chance to put the red lights on. i can see your point of view for sure. another grey area is where two riders from the same team collide on the opening corner yet both are reinstated for the re run. i don’t think the rule book is definitive in these kind of scenarios. i doubt very much that the investigation will focus on heat 2. for me the incident with the starting gate post will be the focus as this is clearly a safety issue where the heat should have been stopped immediately. also the ref should have used the tv footage to catch kemp touching the tapes but this heat 2 incident is far too subjective IMHO1 point

i mean when the gate was on the home straight and the finish post was a bit further on .. were league meeting times taken from the finish post, but FIM meetings at the tapes?1 point

To be fair it’s been like that at Oxford for the last two seasons in the championship, good crowds and top class entertainment, what’s not to like.1 point

The heat had not finished, it does so when: when 2 minutes have elapsed after the leading rider has completed the heat (12.1.21) That being the case 12.1.14 applies: The Referee shall immediately disqualify any rider who they consider indulges in foul, unfair or dangerous riding. If, in the opinion of the Referee, such conduct produces an advantage to the rider involved or affects the chances of one or more riders, the Referee may stop the heat and order a re-run. If any rider is unable to cross the finish line as a result of foul, unfair or dangerous riding on the part of another rider who, inconsequence, has been disqualified, the disadvantaged rider shall be deemed to have finished the heat in the placing held immediately before the foul, unfair or dangerous riding and allowing for any advancement in placing following the disqualification of the guilty rider. A similar system shall apply for a rider who, in the opinion of the Referee has deliberately laid down their machine or has left the track in the interests of safety. So Kemp should have been excluded and Thompson awarded second.1 point

Reading that having a quick 5 from work with a cuppa while the sun is blazing is making me more jealous of a PnP than I have in years! Enjoy it Comets fans, hopefully a great season ahead watching some top young prospects at what appears to be a great little set up!1 point

The tractor he used had a wheel track 2 gates wide on our narrow track, surely wasn't his fault he had to flatten/pack most of gates 2 or 4 or 1 and 3 a bit when grading before heat 15 when we had the choice......1 point

he is never not rusty, bloke is useless and has been for years1 point

If there's no updates what do you want them to say I want a good team but 1 poor signing won't stop me going down and hopefully being entertained1 point

Total disrespect hahahah come off it. It’s still the close season. As long as there’s 7 riders at the tapes on Good Friday, which I’m certain there will be, then that’s fine. Talk about toys out of the pram, grow up.1 point

As much as a lot of people criticise Dick and his centre green shenanigans, I guarantee you will miss him when he does hang up his microphone. I remember when he was missing for a season a handful of years ago and I certainly felt that the presentation on the evening was far poorer due to the lack of his presence.1 point

No one is giving up, AEPG are clueless if they are thinking we are. The pressure is being kept on the PCC.1 point
-
Keep the pressure up on the Council to enforce the Local Plan. If a new stadium is required then AEPG should pay for it. AEPG wants everyone to give up. Don't give up.1 point

Unsure if this is acceptable so MODS please remove if not. A friend of mine, who doesn't post on here, has just had major surgery and is unable to travel for several weeks. He has 2 tickets for each day at Inzell, 3rd bend, which he is now unable to use. Face value €140. He does not want payment but would like them to be used if possible. Anyone attending who has yet to buy stadium tickets, who could make use of them, please DM me with Email details, which I can pass to him to send the tickets (printable at home). As he says he would just like someone to get the benefit, so is happy to pass on at no charge, but a nominal donation to SRBF as a gesture, in exchange, would be appreciated.1 point
