  1. Surprised they didn't call the meeting off for that!

  3. What utter rubbish. This is a forum to discuss speedway. The fact of whether a meeting is on or not is fair game. Also… I was right.

  4. I like football, I pay money to my club, Bristol City, to listen and watch the streams officially available to me helping put money into my team. I do exactly the same with the excellent service BSN provide for us, I pay my money firstly to watch and secondly to pay for the work they do for us and the sport. Shame on anybody who gets by this on the cheap when the sport needs help.

  5. It's a superb track, arguably the best in the UK, and produces fantastic racing. I love going there for meetings.

  6. To be honest it’s been mentioned several times, programme buyers hate it, why they don’t just save it and just have a race day update for when the team returns is beyond me, especially when we have the fact of the same 6 teams 2 or 3 times a season.

  7. Tai Woffinden had a front puncture in the ht11, that’s why he purposely touched the tapes. Quick thinking but unfortunately the track wasn’t conducive to overtaking last night, think Kyle Howarth made five passes (two in one race) that were after lap 1 bend 2 apart from that can’t really remember any others apart from that. By the way great to see Kyle back on it last night, he’s tried absolutely everything to get his season on track including arranging a practice session on Tuesday this week to try get a set up working at Owlerton, by the way if there’s a video of ht15 with his battle with Lawson including the hairy moment off bend 4 into the home straight I’d love to see that

  8. It has changed massively, no more tight corners, multiple racing lines, racing has been the best ever so far this season, even beats Belle vue

  10. Plymouth/Gary may pulling a fast one ?? Covati 2 retirements in 2 rides, probably not fit, now may get a guest facility for rest of the year, like Eddie Kennett the other year

  13. Surprised, not surprised, Lemo didn't go for Lidsey in 15. Surely you've got to put your big hitters in the crunch races.

  14. I live 15 minutes by car from the track and it's been dry all day! Look at the Met Office forecast for Possil Park and the little video which shows all the main bands of rain missing the track.

  15. Personally it’s more to do with who’s running the club than what league we are in to get the feel good factor back it’s lack of enthusiasm in running the club we are just going through the motions each season and it’s been that way for a few seasons the club has never been the same since Jonathan Chapman left he wasn’t everyones cup of tea but he had enthusiasm for running the club Buster has none unfortunately - new ideas is what’s needed more than a different league

  16. I think scaramanga was led on by the Antti-Vuolas brigade, who hoped he wouldn’t stay for long.

  17. All scored from reserve as that was the previous version of 'Rising Stars' but the riders stayed at reserve all year and faced 6 fellow reserves and just two second strings in their programmed rides.

  18. He's much better than what he's showing. At the minute the other boys are covering for him by still winning Home meetings which is key to finishing 4th, I'd give Magic 1 more month whilst Oxford still have a grip on 4th place and if no improvement happens then get rid. Only Leicester can nick 4th place off the Spires and they're in a complete mess with various underperformers every night.

  19. Agree about the program situation. Why don't they just save the program's until the said team comes to Lynn.If you need an insert because the team line up has changed then so be it.You would much rather have a Sheffield insert in a month old Sheffield program than an Ipswich insert in a month old Sheffield program.I don't know who makes the decision on these matters.

  21. First of all best wishes to Jason, I was amazed to see him get up from what was a terrible looking crash. Highlight of the evening was stand in team manager Buster thanking the weather for holding off so he could get the meeting on! If it continues to hold off they will soon be able to issue a programme that relates to the meeting that's actually on , three inserts out of three so far. Overall a good meeting run at a reasonable pace with a few excellent races

  22. Refreshing to see an injured rider turn up to support his team... a move a lot of other riders could learn from Picko is hugely impressive as a "team" man and often comes across as he cares a hell of a lot more than a lot of his various team mates

  24. There's been a backlash to his appearance at the Blunsdon site. To be honest when I spoke to two local councillors, the Green one said it's a shame about the Moto Cross, and the Red one didn't seem to care. Not enough peeps bothered about local speedway these days. Swindon becoming a dormitory town for commuters to the south-east now, recreational stuff disappearing, just more houses everywhere being built on sporting areas.

  27. I feel sorry for the Redcar supporters who made their way up to Glasgow tonight in what turned out to be a late wash-out but at least they'll be able to spend all day tomorrow in the city centre shoplifting.

  30. Nothing, if the referee had stuck to the rules he should have been excluded as he wasn't ready even though he was at the tapes

  31. Wow..Fricke is class quality in Poland against a far greater standard struggling a little at present agree but class is permanent form is temporary. Whilst season is short still think top 5 good as many other teams. Be careful what some wish for start changing team rem last Season became a wash out…

  35. Such posts are damaging to the club's (and BSN's) business, you really should add that it's only your opinion... Until the club posts to the contrary, your meeting is on....

  36. Woffinden ditched this meeting for years, now he's happy to race it. Still, maybe he's preparing for next season when it may be his only chance to race at Cardiff.

  37. Let’s hope JD heals quickly - having both him and Danny absent will be tough - however well done to young TomB - brilliant guest last night - if guests are needed get him booked in again! Both he and Scott should maybe be fitted for race suits!

  38. Sounds like some more great entertainment at Sandy Lane. The loss of number 1 Kurtz left the Aces with a Mountain to climb, and failed to Cook up enough points to win but took the aggregate bonus. Magic has lost his magic, getting worse, superb from Bomber and Tungate.

  39. Fricke's place must surely be under question 5.71 away average is just not acceptable for a No 1 of his age and experience and it'll be even less than that after last nights performance

  40. Got to stick with Janowski unless they can get a massive hitter on a bargain average to replace him. No point bringing in Kerr for him as the second strings would be awfully weak compared to other teams.

  47. Very personable, modest, level headed young man as well a talent on a Speedway bike. His family must be very proud of him along with Darcy Ward and all his sponsors. For 18 years old he has been deeply impressive. Good on ya young Tate.
