For someone whose team closed down after buying the league and now is very fortunate to now have northside your comments are truly concieted and ignorant, you're constantly slagging Plymouth off, sniping at Glasgow and Poole, envious obviously and when I introduced myself to you at Plymouth the first thing you said was it's only banter to which I replied no problem and offered to buy you a drink, you're obviously happy to give it the big one on here and yes you won cookie maxed out and troy has guested for us twice so I suggest get back in your box until you can come up with some decent banter.6 points

The reality and the shame of this forum is sooner or later clubs will close down and so will speedway. The sooner people on this forum realise that they could build the sport up (admittedly only a tiny bit) but every little helps.5 points

Can’t believe the British Speedway Facebook posted several close up graphic photos of the crash, after 40+ comments criticising they took it down finally.4 points

A few clubs over the past couple of seasons have asked riders not to compete in Nora and a few riders have told the clubs to poke it (not saying any of the competitors that took place in the latest meeting were in that situation), there have also been clubs who were fully behind their riders getting extra laps in and keeping sharp. I think the backlash against the BSPL/SCB would be far too large if they were to try and impose sanctions on any rider competing under another banner. IOW in association with NORA are trying something innovative and different which is scary to the established order, it is also very much a work in progress and often a product that works better on the big open spaces of the smallbrook circuit than may suit other mainland venues.4 points

Unfortunately when the grass track production line dried up, so did a lot of the talent. If you look at the amount of star quality riders who came from Grass Track back in the 80s and 90s the list goes on and on. Now we are in the situation where if you take away the British GP riders, Brennan Is the only young up and coming rider who looks like he might make the grade in the top flight league in Poland and the GPs. We keep being told we have a great prospects coming up through the youth scene yes Tom Brennan came through that system and young Flint has done well to qualify for SGP2, but he's still only a rising star in the top league, when he should be kicking on by now! The days of Doncaster, Cross, Tatum, Wigg, Havlock, Screen etc have long gone!3 points

Oxford's riding order confuses me. They've put Kemp at 2, obviously realising he'd struggle at 3, but why not give Kerr a go there before dropping him? I also would have out Janowski at 5 & told him to prove he's still a world class rider. Harris would be much more effective at 3 or 4 imo.3 points

Instead of having a dig at Rew, Fans should be wishing the best for him as well as Tate. Horrible accidents happen in our sport and tonight was one of those occasions. Rew's mental state can't be good tonight and Tate's physical state isn't good period so just keep both riders in your thoughts.2 points

We don’t know what was going through his mind do we? Everyone reacts differently. I’ve no doubt he’ll be gutted that he’s the cause of his friend suffering potentially serious injuries. You’re a Workington fan, I get you’re going to be disappointed here.2 points

Yes, he's being talked about in a big way. I seem to remember a local lad to you winning the youth 125cc world championship twice!! "Multi British Youth Grass Track Champion Kyle Bickley retained his World 125cc crown after scoring a 15-point maximum in the Czech Republic on Saturday following winning the same event last year in Germany." but unfortunately as soon as he progressed from the conference league, "where he was very good" to the 2nd division he struggled big time and eventually retired at a very early age. So I would say being a good youth rider is not a guarantee of turning out world class, but I hope the young English rider William Cairns is as good as they say, because we do need another superstar to be coming through .2 points

... on 250cc's, looking at past SGP3 (or equivalent) results, sadly the rostrum placed riders very rarely go on to achieve anything.2 points

Reminiscent of a certain race at Poole a number of years ago in the play off final2 points

I can assure you there were hailstones at about 5pm. I entered the stadium at 5.43 and the track was waterlogged. The rain then eased for around 10-minutes before it started to rain again quite steadily. The referee, both team managers & both team captains agreed that the track was to waterlogged to contemplate trying to race. That decision was taken at approximately 6.40 with the gates still closed, and to the best of my knowledge, no tickets sold. When I left the stadium just after 7.10 the rain had eased, and by the time I got to the hospital roundabout, you could see there hadn't been so much rain there. I stopped posting on this site a long time ago, due to the nonsense that the majority of people post on here, without really knowing the facts. But I took the decision to post this time so as to let people know there could be a problem, but I wasted my time by some, as I was evidently at Mildenhall. What a stupid comment to make.2 points

Bad result for the Witches at an unhappy hunting ground. However insignificant in regards to the horrific incident l. Everything crossed for young Tate. Best wishes.2 points

You would of thought also Tatum or Allen with all there so called speedway experience would of mentioned the fact that Kerr and Kemp are in fact team mates at championship Berwick,2 points

I always thought Tobi is an honest rider, so if he said he is going back to KL I wouldn't believe the rumours.2 points

Would cost an absolute fortune to feed that troll but he amuses me. Weekly toilet roll bill will be astronomical wiping his mouth right enough.2 points

I would dare to gamble that Mussyslack considers he's worth more than he's being paid at KL and has spotted opportunities to exploit that?? As for him being unhappy with "the way the club is being run" frankly its sod all to do with him PROVIDED he's being given a safe environment in which to ply his trade and also that he's being paid on time as per contract?? (there are lots of employees out there that don't like the way in which their employers run the business.......... but in the vast majority of cases they don't simply walk out??). It's apparent that there's some ***t stirring going on at Sheffield and I said on Saturday when Woffinden had an off that Mussyslack would be back there in a flash (with of course a financial carrot being dangled in front of him). Very much suspect this is all about money with "the way the club is being run" being nothing other than a smokescreen most likely being promulgated by those dangling the carrot .............. but of course KL was ok when he was given the chop by Sheffield and had nowhere to go!2 points

https://www.facebook.com/share/v/WnXfjR5pbNnRp5a7/ Just watched the race on Facebook, didn't see too much wrong from anyone really, was a good hard race and a bit of passion shown by everybody after the heat doesn't do any harm either.2 points

Agree with many in that I thought we were going to hammered tonight. For us to lose only by 6 points and still be in with a chance of getting result in the final heat was even more pleasing.1 point

British speedway Facebook page was in very bad taste for around 15 minutes, as they had horrific photos of tates crash posted, this while the poor kid was still on track bring cared for by ambulance crews, thankfully was taken down. Can I ask what British speedway were doing putting up such photos at this time when we don't know how bad Tate is injured1 point

It's not that different though is it? Wide, fast, sweeping bends, loads of racing lines etc. There are plenty of other tracks in the UK which are nothing like either of them.1 point

And none of those three (or Adam Ellis) got the majority of their youth experience in the British Youth Championships (Germany, late starter, Australia, and French grasstrack respectively)1 point

Hi Dizz, yes I have got one of these in my collection along with some other stuff, great memories1 point

They are certainly being treated that way by the Championship promotions who still haven't come up with any dates for the semis of both competitions. This is developing into a repeat of the Jubilee Trophy which died from apathy. We've an enforced blank week for the SON compepetitions, then most clubs have a fairly full fixture list through August, so its a bit hard to see when/how they will be fitted in before the play offs.1 point

Saw more than enuf when worky were at Plymouth, one of the worst tracks/stadium ive seen in 55 years of following this daft sport, and we won1 point

Checked and you are correct. Brady 21/05/24 Injured 23/05/24 Missed Oxford away 25/05/24 Rode FIM like Collins & Carter etc…. 26/05/24-27/06/24 he rode one meeting in Poland, pulling out before completing his rides due to his injury issues. 28/06/24 Subsequently fit to take in his fixtures as they fell. I think you are justified in thinking the riders mentioned above are #+%*#^. I’m of a different opinion, which is what the forum is all about.1 point

It'll be R/R for Woffy no real option as Birmingham only team not riding. Brennan is riding for Ipswich Vs Belle Vue Worrall for Kings Lynn Vs Leicester Only really Lindgren but don't think he's allowed to guest anyway with been on a reassessed average1 point

Gordon Pairman in last weeks SS did a very informative Q and A, and suggested all the legal threats were basically not worth the words... And bemoaned the fact that instead of allowing the IOW and others to possibly develop riders, the BSP did their utmost to try and stop them.. But, to be fair, he always seemed to come across as someone with common sense...1 point
