Stop bleating on about it. You lost. How about you accept you were beaten by the better team, take it like a man and move on? The rule book didn't 'gift' Glasgow the title, they still had to go out on the track and win it....and that's exactly what they did. The title was won thanks to an excellent signing and some excellent riding.9 points

If the Poole track was outside my back window I'd shut the curtains!6 points

The Bailey situation is stupid, forcing a club to use guests when they want to replace a (temporarily) retired rider is ludicrous. This all comes about when they change rules say due to the Robert Lambert play-off issues, but don't consider the ramifications. Trying to fix one problem often causes another.6 points

Don't forget most riders had been signed up before Worky were confirmed in the Championship. I think Celina was worth a punt and she is undoubtedly quick when in front. It was her poor gating, bravery in first corners and perceived inability to improve her race position when behind that were evident. If she can improve these there is no doubting her bike skills . Like you say Celina not really scoring points will probably have increased the pressure on Sam.4 points

What a sad little comment. If the Premiership can’t fill 6 spots then there is no Premiership. No guarantee Birmingham will still be around in ‘25. So if anything you wishing the demise of Lynn would in turn probably lead to the demise of whatever hole of a team you support4 points

And one thing you can say about most Poole fans is that they are honest and truthful.3 points

Very much doubt it was done during the meeting. More than likely before Fridays meeting I would imagine.3 points

If Musielak was fit he could ride for King's Lynn, but he announced he wasn't fit enough to race in GB. Why would he want to sign for another club if he's not fit enough to ride over here? Unless of course he wasn't truthful when he left Lynn, then that's his own fault.3 points

Think we can just sneak B Cook in by 0.1… Will be interesting to see if any new riders are announced on Friday following this meeting knowing that Ipswich and Sheffield will definitely have both completed 75% of fixtures and ensuring that neither can sign Musielak3 points

Each to their own. The Prem meetings I have seen on tv or stream haven't produced any more exciting racing than those in Championship - in some cases a heck of a lot worse! Still as many processional races because there aren't so called 'top' riders in every race. But as I've said each to their own.3 points

As you regularly demonstrate!! Anyway with all this talk about Poole going back up, why did Glasgow not go up after winning the league last year and with their 'super facilities' and 'super racing'? Was it because they didn't want to run Mons/Thurs? Just like Poole then?!2 points

Brum CAN continue (as announced last night) and Poole won't be going back up.2 points

I’m going too hazard a guess here It will be overwatered with more bumps than a 3 year olds head playing on a climbing frame.2 points

There's a saying up here about one of the big clubs, "always cheated never defeated since 1888". I won't say which one but it seems to apply to some Poole fans!2 points

So, yet another nail in the coffin for my dwindling enthusiasm for this joke sport.Workington have raced 15 of their original scheduled 20 matches or 75%?yet are allowed to make a team change.Yet when Redcar lost a rider(Bailey)due to withdrawal we aren’t allowed to sign anyone even though at the time we had raced the same amount. Now if Workington’s qualifying for the semi of BSN counts in their allowance, that’s a hidden bonus for them?even though those matches should have taken place ages ago. Also this 75% rule might shed some light on why some teams are holding back fixtures to give themselves more time to make possible rider changes. This is not a dig at Workington, just me being disgruntled with the sport after 52 years2 points

It's a development league... Not many outside of the followers of the sport will be able to name 3 speedway teams of any level, let alone who the "Champions" are.. The majority of NDL lads will never make a living out of the sport so either ride as a "hobby" or ride in the hope that maybe one day they will get to pro level... If they are not there, then there isn't any racing to watch...2 points

Isn’t Simon suffering from shingles ? Riders like Simon are the engine rooms of teams If he scores 2 or 12 you know he has given his all.2 points

Apart from Emil and another couple of ‘ superstars’ your watching the same riders racing each other just for different Teams though.1 point

Ben Cook, and Blodorn are probably the best pair, if willing. 55-35 ish. The sooner we replace Toby, if possible the better..1 point

He sold Lindgren a dummy, Lindgren stuck with the same gameplan and ended up pushing fresh air into the fence.1 point

Panthers could surely still return in 2025 at the Showground, initially in Championship say, as a weekend operation with the basics of a track - a bit like Workington, to start with. Then build upwards from there...........?1 point

Given that AEPG have totally vandalised the operational speedway circuit/stadium handed over to them in Oct 2023, then that agreement would have to be in place now. There would need to be serious work ongoing now to rectify the damage (track, lights, pits, fence, electrics, stand etc). Where is the money coming from for that lot? With only 12 weeks of British Summer Time left it's still stalemate waiting for Butterfield to blink first, which he shows no signs of doing as he builds his case behind the scenes. Unless the the consortium is working on their pulling a rabbit out of the hat trick then you can forget 2025. You might see Peterborough Speedway of some sort at some future point if people stay interested but it's going to be a long slog!1 point

As you say the truth is likely different and may involve broken promises and missing money Perhaps the fitness issue was being sick of Buster and Lynn.....1 point

I don’t recall saying I hope that Musielak wouldn’t be able to be signed, I just said it would be interesting to see1 point

I don't know what's the best way to work out percentages (group only or adding semi finals) but the fact we're having this discussion shows how poorly thought out / written the rules are. It shouldn't take a long forum discussion to understand the rules, besides we still haven't come to a conclusion lol! If the rule was 15 matches like you suggest, it would have to be 15 league & bsn group stage matches only. Wouldn't be fair for a team to reach the bsn semi's, have those matches count & have to make changes sooner than a team that didn't qualify from the group stage.1 point
-
The rules say BSN series, it doesn't say BSN series group stages, so maybe they do count the Semis & finals of that competition? I think Celina won the last heat because she made the gate, she probably would have won a race in every match of she could make the gate consistently,.1 point

Only miles out with Lawson mate.oh and the result . King's Lynn miles better than Sheffield and could quite easily had hit mid 50's.Just shows what a couple of decent guests can do for the team. J.Holder and Pickering were awful for Sheffield to be honest, they definitely cost Sheffield some points. You do expect more from young Holder when you think where he is on the world stage. Everyone on the Lynn side done their bit,all getting either a win or a paid win. Leicester next week looks a toughie with how the guests went tonight. We need to get in nice and early on the guest front, don't want to be found wanting like last week.1 point

That team with a firing Musielak comfortably tops Oxford and Leicester. Their strength is at reserve. Look at Sheffield and Belle Vue in comparison.1 point

Birmingham are bottom, what did people expect against a decent Belle Vue team. Brummies have good riders but clearly aren’t on it this year. 44-46 isn’t a score to be embarrassed about. They got beat by the better team on the night. Kurtz was on one, sometimes just have to take your hat off to the other team. I’m glad that Birmingham could return next year. More teams staying in speedway is better for the sport.1 point

Certainly no luck going Kvech's way tonight.Lynn would have been out of sight now if he didn't have his 2 e/f's,whilst in winning positions.1 point

No disrespect to Jake Mulford but Flint should not be getting done by him on his own 5h1t heap!1 point

I would be more tempted to use Batch who got 13 riding at 5 when Worky came down or Danny King? Although Drew has done well. And also r/r at home should be ok imo. Not really when most of us didn't get to see it lol.1 point

Think they know what they are doing staying Championship ,decent crowds not paying silly money to “ big names” just topping up their wages.Well run Club.1 point

I think it's all about the riders "mentality". Aussies are over ten thosand miles from "home" so by their very nature are "transient" - happy to have bases in UK / Poland. In some cases in Sweden as it allows easy access to UK and Poland (and most of Northern / Eastern Europe too) The British riders (aside from the top 3 GP and Bomber) are more insular, more grounded in the UK and think a trip from South to North is a long way. The old adage "where there's a will, there's a way" seems to fit best. Credit to Ben and those who make it work and want to make it work, and may be a few others should have the same mindset. To tie in with another thread, may be that Brennan identified that a midweek CL track after all allowed him to ride Poland / Sweden and 2 Leagues in UK whereas commiting to Glasgow every weekend did not work as well, especially as the Poles do like (where possible) their League participants to be tucked up in a Polish bed on a Saturday night.1 point

Got to admire the Poole Promotion. Always put together good teams. Personally rate Foord over Hagon.1 point

You can’t be serious that last night was a gating tart performance from Lewi.Brilliant riding from him.1 point

Not strictly accurate as not all rising stars are riding at 7. The number 7 (whomever that may be) is protected in heat 8, not rising stars.1 point
