Just amazing speedway from Poland again... Can't ask for much more than that from any sporting contest... All played out in front of a huge crowd too to add the atmosphere....5 points

Why would someone laugh at these posts? Seems in very poor taste!3 points

Done exactly this for my parents last year, got them a smart TV and BSN is simple to find on the web browser, my only complaint and be it a small one is that sometimes for some unknown reason it will log itself out so have to sign back in again every now and then, and my parents who are both in their early 80's ain't quite grasped the art of signing back in or using the QR code as an option to sign in, luckily im only a 5 min drive away so I'll just quickly pop round and sign them back in, and finally the BSN coverage is like night and day compared to what Eurosport normally dish upđ¤¨3 points

Unfortunately âthe set up â is more and more important these days to the point now where even in British speedway if you donât have it close you wonât even be competitive and thatâs sad2 points

Well I guess thatâs the best we could really do. Danny needs to improve from recent form. Bomber a fair replacement for Ben at home. Just like the premier league, the playoffs are being affected by injuries. The injury to Ben couldnât have come at a worse time and clearly affects us. Think itâs the first time he has been out since joining us. Can only do the best we can and hope itâs enough. Best of luck to Danny and Bomber.2 points

Don't forget running around getting parts and picking up and dropping off riders at airports etc , picking up and dropping engines off at the tuner,I can definitely say it's turned into a full time job and the money unless your very lucky to work for a generous rider isn't that great and holding down a regular job is very difficult when your getting home from meetings very late at night . When I did it my annual leave soon got used up and I lost money over the years not to mention the time apart from the family especially if you have children that during the season you hardly see. It's not for everyone, young, free and single with no financial commitment is who it suits nowadays. IMO.2 points

Not technical at all, all you have to do is change a tyre, check tyre pressure, turn a wheel, change sprocket and chain links, adjust ignition and maybe change a jet size and fuel up, thatâs pretty much everything you do at a meeting, in a workshop you just strip parts, wash bike and parts and reassemble, checking nothing has broke, bent or worn, strip carb, wash it and reassemble, adjusting arm setting with dial gauge, very rarely mechanic will touch engine settings, you might check tappet gaps but no exactly rocket science, you have to work quick these days but mostly you are at the riders instructions but If you have riding experience you can give your input, it helps to know what changes will do like jetting/gearing etc but you pick these things up as you go along itâs my opinion you could go from an average Joe to become a fully competent mechanic in one season, itâs pretty basic mechanics, one thing that has to learnt is trust, the rider must trust you 100%2 points

They could add Sheffield in to make a three team final.... More away fans at every match... Like they successfully did with the Jubilee C..... Oh, hang on, never mind, as you were...2 points

My Mrs is a stoke city season ticket holder for her sins and stoke subsidise quite a lot of the away travel to matches, some of the matches are practically free and also reduced ticket prices at a a lot of the games, Friday night 7 of the family went to the home game with hull and 4 of them went free, I didnât go as I had painted a wall and needed to watch it dry but it basically is the sort of thing speedway should do, maybe not all the time but certainly to playoff and TV meetings2 points

I always wondered why league 1 and 2 teams could take 20 - 30,000 fans to the Wembley play offs when their average home gate is between 3-4,000, đ2 points

All smart TVs have a web browser, go to watch.britishspeedway.co.uk You will see a QR code, open your camera on your phone, you will be prompted to log in via your phone, your TV will then show the BSN site! Some other top tips: the square icon bottom right makes it full screen. On the race card under the video panel if you click on a heat it will take you to that heat. Right at the bottom on the left there is always a link to download a free race card in case you want to print it off and fill it in as you go! Thanks for the nice comments all and enjoy the playoffs!2 points

Possibly although he is based and works for Allied in Glasgow, if he is going to consider a return either Club would be a good fit. I agree though Workington would be a good choice to regain his mojo but I wouldnât be against a Glasgow return either. Whatever he decides hopefully regaining his confidence and enthusiasm for the sport sees him return next season.2 points

I notice you went viral you won't want to interact with the likes of us soon1 point

Hopefully next season they'll do away with the wretched things altogether! They've caused nothing but trouble in every league, fixture and rider availability wise, ever since they were introduced. After what has happened this year they've lost any credibility they may of once had.1 point

Iâve never tried one but the bottom tube is like a square tube design so I would imagine it makes the bike drive more but and this is my opinion only it makes the bike very unpredictable on less than perfect tracks.3 riders who use them are lambert, Doyle and lindgren who are all very fast this year but have randomly had moments where the bike has just taken off in the middle of the corner but I suppose if I they feel it works 90% of the time itâs worth the risk in their mind, traction control is banned in speedway so they are trying to sort of create it with frame modifications, I know zmarzlik has brought a lot of them but isnât using them at moment and well he is world champion so do they work ?1 point

Problem is this time of year itâs cold temperatures and wonât dry out like it did for SoN.1 point

100%agree regarding the mechanical knowledge of how the bikes works is big part of being able to make the correct changes on set ups. Many of the young Brits do not have that IMO.1 point

Spot on.. And the play offs at least have a feel of being "an event"... Away fans in attendance being the biggest contributor... Never understood why the BSP don't collectively subsidise admission for away fans for every natch.. Hardly any attend now so harldy any costs incurred... Part of Poland's success is that tribal feeling with there always being plenty of away fans in their own section..1 point

Yet again Eurosport proves that it is not about the budget at your disposal, but it is how you use it! The brilliant BSN blows it clean out of the water on just a fraction of the budget!! IF ..... Discovery had any intelligence they would say to BSN: "Can you provide us with the speedway coverage next season please?" - the end result would be a saving to their budget and a far better production!1 point
-
Bottom line is nothing changes.Riders dictate. They have the upper hand in Uk because of the rider shortage.Like to see the same riders try that in Poland.Their feet wouldnât touch the ground.1 point

Let's be fair here, it's not at all Abi's fault. She's just doing her job. The nonsense chat is usually requested from directors through an earpiece. Man or women, it's irrelevant. Even Tatum & Louis (whomever is partnered with Kelv) chat absolute s#!+e most weeks. The discovery team as a whole has no idea what the watching viewers want to hear or see. Camera work, commentators, trackside presenters, the lot is absolutely dreadful. Terrible to just out the Lass, just doing as she's told.1 point

That argument could be used against any (non injured) rider. If they're good enough they should qualify & not need a wild card.1 point
