  1. Then pull out. The CL shouldn't be backed into a corner by one party, or a minority of parties.

  5. I know it really shouldn't be in this section but come on, give me some slack on this to get some publicity! Gates open at 10am, Raspberry lane, ME9 8SP Adults £13 Concessions (60+) £10 Children under 16 free with a paying adult. And what a line up managed by Eagles legend, Dave 'Floppy' Norris. 10. because hes ridden for us before because he is excellent round lynn because leicester might need to let him go to get under the points limit and at the end of the day these kinds of threads are about predictions/ wishlists / speculation and essentially having a bit of fun i dont think anyone would be surprised if he remains a lion but you never know

  12. Don't see the fascination with Ellis. Another who goes missing when needed most. Him and King really needed to step up this year when the top two were injured but didn't. Ellis has been around a while now , has to be well over 10 years and is still not a heatleader and is injury prone. Would get rid.

  20. Which is good news. But as the promotion has recently stated, the overall level this year, although better then in recent times have still not been at a level to meet the running costs. If there is to be a 2025 season at Perry Barr, the promoters (and everybody else) know that it will be the last season due to the unavailability of the stadium and in which case, is there a worthwhile reason for running a team with the prospect of losing more money and with no chance of recouping that loss in future years?

  22. Doyle and Mickelsen would of been top 6 had it not been for injury so no surprise with those two picks. Kvech + Huckenbeck are simply in for commercial reasons (Czech + German SGP) although I have nothing against either rider and they were certainly offering something to the SGP. Madsen without the personal problems and able to concentrate on speedway would be more competitive than the latter two. Could it be that if 3G Logistics his ex partner was involved with still a lead sponsor ??? With so much press and even some FIM representatives banging the drum for the return of Sayfutdinov and Laguta back in the SGP I thought it may be possible but not to be. Nothing against Kvech and Huckenbeck but a little underwhelming.

  24. Many of us watch Polish Speedway similar to the way we watch UK Speedway... ie. More "sports entertainment" than a bone fide sporting contest.. However. In Poland, it is very much "winning matters" as financially there are big rewards, and tonights result will be lead news in the national written and TV news coverage this evening and tomorrow... We might want to be "entertained" but Lublin and Wroclaw fans only want to see their team win.. And if they get entertained too, then that is a bonus..

  28. I personally would love to see us go into the Championship. More teams and a better chance of being competitive at that level. Surely more cost effective for the promotion also. Only negative as far as I'm concerned is that most of the other tracks are pretty distant if you like going to away meetings. I thought the last stint in the lower tier with Daniel Nermark at the helm made for excellent entertainment.

  29. That is a cracking line up for non League Iwade speedway! Lets hope speedway can return to Eastbourne and bid to build on Arlington gets turns down and the stadium sold to persons interested in keeping the stadium as it is!

  32. Paid 8 Vs Oxford including beating Nichols (albeit off a 15m handicap) was a fantastic effort for a 2 pointer imo. Why wouldn't we be looking at him for next season based on that?

  35. Just caught up with this meeting this morning and as expected an awful meeting. The season was decided before a wheel was turned and the final was completely predictable. While sides are built so lop sided in Poland you can see who is going to win straight away. Utterly boring. While it could be applauded that no guests are used, once injuries occur, it’s the end of that sides season. Gusts etc is just not going to cut it. If it’s the same with certain teams head and shoulders above the opposition it won’t be worth watching.

  40. Happy to see kvech back in, may not have made top 6 but certainly won a few races and wasn’t afraid to mix it but don’t understand how he got a pic over madsen ? I would like to know the actual thought process in deciding picks as they seem to make very little sense, think the pickers should be made to explain why they choose who they do

  41. I think he's a long way from Championship level. Clubs should be looking at NDL heat leaders for their reserve berths.

  43. Always a subjective discussion, but... He did nail six world titles in the "golden era" when competition was truly at its fiercest... Fundin, Briggs, Moore, Collins, Olsen, Michanek, Jessup, Simmons, Louis, Crump, Jancarz, Plech, and so many many more truly World Class riders, raced at the top level against him... To win it six times in that era was trruly staggering...
