  1. Normal slick dusty gaters paradise track being served up yet again at Poole. dreadful entertainment

  2. Good interview with Criag Cook in this weeks Speedway star talking about his on and off track issues over the last few years and how he’s trying to find stability for both. Good open and honest interview from him which he didn’t have share with everyone but fair play to him for doing so.

  3. Get ready for a masterclass tomorrow. Ipswich fans will finally see Doyle and Emil involved in an actual race. It would be more entertaining if Emil and Doyle make the gate over MJJ, as vice versa would be a "follow the leader" race.

  4. Which just goes to show... You can fool some of the papal, some of the time... But you can't fool all of the papal, all of the time... (I'll get me coat)....

  7. I was a regular at Mildenhall in 2006 & 07 in the second tier and it's some of the best speedway I've ever seen.

  8. It was Joe Thompsons suit. He will only be there until Polish committments change.

  9. I'm not sure why BluPanther laughed at my Brexit comment. The reason why Visas are required is purely down to Brexit. Riders from EU countries used to be able to turn up and ride because they had a right to earn a living in a fellow EU member country. Now the UK treats them the same as riders from any other country, which means the appropriate Visa for their type of employment. It could be there's a long lead time for them to be approved, or it could be that Brum didn't apply in a timely manner.

  12. I watched Billy win his silver at the ‘83 world final. Egon’s win soon became inevitable but in an other universe Billy would have become a more than worthy world champ. Love this second half idea to commemorate his memory.

  13. Mind you if they did hold a major event at Foxhall, they could turn it into a weekend festival. Plenty of room for camping & the showground is just up the road.

  14. Couldn’t agree more with this. There is definitely a lack of variety on the Grand Prix scene. There should be a mix of tracks of all shapes and sizes to test the skill set of the riders. Similar to you and Lakeside, some of the best racing I’ve seen has been around Mildenhall believe it or not. Loram had some fantastic races around there.

  15. Today is the 40th anniversary of Billy’s passing and the club are marking the occasion with a special second half. a plaque and mural have been in Billy’s pit space ever since. Fondly remembered and never forgotten even when the compulsory pit hoarding covered the mural a replica one soon was on the pits wall. I remember going to foxhall 40 years ago and how surreal and sense of absolute shock at foxhall. I guess many fans will want to remember Billy and once again pay our respect The second half will be much more significant to many than the league meeting.

  16. Huge credit to all involved for honouring one of the finest ever riders in Ipswich colours. I had the privilege of watching him ride for the Brummies in 1979.A class act!!

  17. Surely the best and arguably the cheapest option if money is the case would be RR ?

  18. Trigger gets better at Poole every season tbf. (Had a few guest bookings for Poole last season which prob helped). Must be one of his better away tracks now.

  22. Brexit has thrown up all sorts of problems. Adam travels on his French passport and was refused entry once as he’d passed the 90 days in 180 rule…… luckily he also had his uk passport with him too and was waved through after the original confusion.

  23. Yes he does have that in his armoury as well.

  24. TBF Danyon knows his way around Foxhall and has scored double figures on occasions, taking some huge scalps along the way. He’s beaten a few top number one’s at Foxhall in recent years.

  25. So a Robin then.....bit of a step down from an Eagle.....mind you a reasonable chance of the playoffs.

  26. I hope Danyon picks up a couple of points tomorrow night just for his drive and determination to show up and give it a go knowing full well that he's likely to not earn any money when being asked to ride as a Heat Leader.

  27. To be fair to him he can’t be expected to think Palovaara and Grahn were going to be called up for a pairs meeting internationally.

  28. 99.99% certain they are- presumably tickets holders only, or a purchase of separate ticket. You could find a contact email for Landshut and ask them- most clubs are helpful. edit info@ac-landshut.de

  32. One Aces fan retaliated to a sarcastic comment about the NSS track and mentioned it is one of the best tracks in the world. A common held belief in speedway circles. The Ipswich trolls descended . Sigh.

  35. I suspect Doyle and Emil will get four rides apiece like they have in the previous two meetings. Only if the meeting result is in doubt will they get 15. Especially as they’ll each be getting another couple of rides more than likely, in the Billy Sanders Champion of the evening.

  38. This shows that for now there are no big names ready to come over and ride in the UK. Maybe later someone may decide to come over and take up a place. But the Holder boys and Picko so far this season have started the season strong, and the team changes now sees Anders Rowe drop to reserve. Both Sedgy and Kerr have rode for the club before. Does it make us weaker as team quite possibly, but I think whatever the changes it was probably going to make us weaker.

  39. Finest track in speedway is a long shot, Britain maybe, but I don't think even any Ekstraliga 2 teams would swap theirs for yours! The stadium is pretty small to be a national stadium... any decent event you need to rent another stand. I'm sure Foxhall holds more!

  40. Reading the words "Track Waterlogged" did seem a bit fishy, especially after around 3 weeks in Leicester without any appreciable rain... but it did rain again at 19:30 so probably the right call in the end

  41. I just had a quick look at the season’s averages so far published on the Witches web site. Dan is top of the away averages and third in the combined. i thought he would kick on this season but what a start he has had - take a bow young man and keep it up!

  42. Oh dear. Not been to a match being screened live (except BSN) for long time but past experience was that the fan on the terrace paying 30 plus quid for a night out was given no consideration by TV company.

  44. Yes, as I always enjoy matches at Scunthorpe. Unlike you and your constant moaning and trying to wind up all and sundry I still like the sport and always get proper racing at this track. Good to stand near the noisy Bears fans who seem to enjoy the odd beer ! Wish Id known you were actually there so I could purposefully have avoided you.
