In the history of speedway, putting musielak as a tactical to replace voulas instead of MJJ instead of rew or Hulme in the next heat must be the stupidest team manager decision ever7 points

For those planning to tune in via BSN tonight... I have checked and BSN have confirmed that they will be showing the Billy Sanders champion of the meeting heats as part of their coverage. Good news 😀7 points

Great that there’s a tribute to Billy. But all the excitement on here about the second half heats!!! They used to be standard fare, and a damned good watch too. Go back to 13 heats and a full second half, including juniors’ heats.6 points

Good interview with Criag Cook in this weeks Speedway star talking about his on and off track issues over the last few years and how he’s trying to find stability for both. Good open and honest interview from him which he didn’t have share with everyone but fair play to him for doing so.3 points

Poole are 2nd Division with the pick of riders given their great sponsors, let's see what you would do with all the restrictions on riders for team building in the Premiership on Monday nights! Your promotion can't hack it, your fans don't do Monday night speedway LOL2 points

This is going to be a good meeting. MJJ vs Emil and Doyle will be worth the ticket price on its own.2 points

I think it’s a gimmick and despite the spin from WBD/FIM it still isn’t being shown on mainstream channels only Apps. The new knockout qualifying is obviously only about speed- i fear riders will be using “ special engines “ will which only last qualifying/ sprint race Which is just plain daft.2 points

Marson is a poor rider, we just have to cope with 6 riders at the moment and it was boring for some partly because the Pirates have a much better team, Plymouth looked poor and partly because we won which doesnt suit some peoples agenda.2 points

I'm not sure why BluPanther laughed at my Brexit comment. The reason why Visas are required is purely down to Brexit. Riders from EU countries used to be able to turn up and ride because they had a right to earn a living in a fellow EU member country. Now the UK treats them the same as riders from any other country, which means the appropriate Visa for their type of employment. It could be there's a long lead time for them to be approved, or it could be that Brum didn't apply in a timely manner.2 points

R and R Bookmakers the worlds top Speedway Bookmakers !!! are pleased to announce the 2025 Beat the Bookie competition. This is the 13th year of the competition(where has the time gone !!) and again there is a prize for the winner. For the 6th year the spread is now under the new scoring rules 1st 20 2nd 18 3rd 16 4th 14 5th 12 6th 11 7th 10 8th 9 9th 8 10th 7 11th 6 12th 5 13th 4 14th 3 15th 2 16th 1 Positions 1st to 4th in the Final Meeting Classification will be according to the result of the Final (Heat 23). Positions 5th to 10th in the Final Meeting Classification will be according to the results from the Semi Finals (Heat 21 & 22). The 2 Riders who finish 2nd in each of the Semi Finals will be 5th and 6th in the Final Meeting Classification, with the higher ranked rider from Intermediate Classification 5th and the lower ranked rider 6th The 2 riders who finish .3rd in each of the semi finals will be 7th and 8th in the final meeting classification, with the highest rider from the intermediate classification 7th and the lower ranked rider 8th. The 2 riders who finish 4th in each of the semi finals will be 9th and 10th in the final meeting classification, with the highest rider from the intermediate classification 9th and the lower ranked rider 10th. Positions 11th to 18th will be according to the Intermediate Classification after 20 heats. As i get older i am getting more confident that my spreads are top notch !! Therefore again in 2025 out have gone the gimmicks !!! The start amount is £600 - minimum bet per GP is £100 minimum bet per rider £50 The minimum bet doesn`t apply if total remaining is less than £100 - then all must be bet. THERE IS NO MAXIMUM BET IN 2025 Rules Each contestant MUST place bets in ALL the rounds -in the event of having no money left they are out of the competition All bets can be edited up to the advertised starting time of the meeting. If a rider is injured before a round starts then the bet is voided on that rider, or bets can be amended up to the meeting start time. If a rider starts a meeting but is injured and cannot continue THE BET STANDS but any points scored by the reserves count towards the injured riders score. If any rider is excluded for a starting offence the reserve points scored do not get added. To ensure fair play bets for the final round may be required to be PM`d to me instead of normal posting. If a meeting is called off at heat 16 then the spread will be adjusted to 4/5th`s of the original. If a meeting is called off at or after 20 heats the spreads stand. HOW TO PLAY One must bet on a rider to score MORE OR LESS than the spread-the HIGHER figure is taken for MORE bets and the LOWER for LESS bets-the mid between the two is what I expect them to score-and they add up to 146 which is the total points available in a GP Example Zmarzlik might have a spread of 15-17 for the 1st GP Player A might bet £100 HIGHER than 17) and he wins so would win (20-17)=3 X £100 = £300. If he finishes 4th he would lose (17-14)=3 X £100 = £300 Player B might bet £100 Lower than 15 and if he finished 8th(15-9 ) = 6X £100 would win £600. If he won the meeting he would lose(20-15) =5 X£100 = £500 A final message regarding the 2025 competition to you punters. M more value in 2025 U unique format from the no 1 Bookie G great prices S simply the best competition in world speedway I will post the opening spread for the Saturday 3rd May Landshut staged German GP on Monday 28th April1 point

Correct riders will ride where they want to & also where they are looked after. It’s not always about the have & have nots, Ipswich have enjoyed some of the best gates if not the best gates in UK speedway for a longtime. They have also always enjoyed good sponsorship backing from the local business community. It’s only the last 3 or 4 years that we have been competing. Trying to constantly weaken the product has gotten uk speedway to where it is today on the point of extinction.1 point

I was really impressed with MJJ attacked the track & looked very good. Hopefully for Brum he’ll stick around! Brum put up the most fight we have seen at Foxhall so far this year. Rew however given he has spent 2 years on the heath was very poor, seems like Louis & co made the right call.1 point

Whilst I agree in principle about price. Neither the promotion or the broadcaster should be advertising it as the “top 4 scorers from each team”. Before a wheel was even turned tonight it was pretty obvious that Emil, Doyle and MJJ would be 3/8 top scorers and paying fans would be expecting to see them come out in the event. It’s pretty poor all round from my perspective.1 point

When BSN just did the Championship they did have a policy of showing everyone at home twice, not including playoffs. So if they are doing the same in the Prem, you will get some comfy home wins going. Especially with a split between top 4 and bottom 3 already.1 point

I don’t think so but if I was TM and made that T/S decision I wouldn’t be able to sleep tonight1 point

The criticism of BSN is very harsh. This fixture on paper is a close match. The problem is that Muslieak and Zagar are both effectively missing.1 point

Happy that the management checked my post on here and got Brennan in early😁1 point

Painful viewing, this. Jeppsen versus Jenkins in the last heat was the first race that didn’t feel like a visual sleeping tablet. Between this tonight and Poole last night, what’s going on with the quality of racing?1 point

Heat 4: no battle at all. Jepsen Jensen (apparently on a new engine) gated and Sayfutdinov didn't. Edwards rode a great race to hold Sayfutdinov at the back.1 point

Why bother with LQ1/2, semi finals, final? Just have 20 heats, the rider with the most points. That way the best rider on the night wins not someone who finishes with less points gained throughout the evening.1 point

Was looking at Rew plus 4 vs Brennan as you say he will beat Hume 3 times and could get tac rides even not 6 is defo gettable. Wright got 1,6 there last year and in good form and a possible ht15 I would say think 6 is worth a punt. My bet Is MJJ under and exactly 9 think it’s a cracking bet as no one has gone over 9 as a visiting rider at foxhall this year and I doubt he will be nominated for ht15.1 point

I do understand the money thing, but don't like to see it tbh. The team they put together don't look cheap to me. I hope it don't bite them in the arse. Thanks Roger, i didn't realise. I looked at 7.20 and thought blimey.. But at 5.40 it restricts their choice a lot.1 point

Let's also not forget that Poole (39.04) have the lowest team average of all the Championship clubs! Yes even slightly lower than Plymouth (39.09).😉1 point

Smart timing if he wants a break/re-charge. Misses 2 Birmingham Bulls fixture but no Leicester Cubs matches. Bright young talent and hope he comes back stronger, theres a huge weight of expectation placed upon riders and often earlier than they are ready for it.1 point

Other than a brave battle from Nicolai, it was very easy for Pirates who had riders getting used to the track and playing with setups. Big well done to Zach who has started this season by stepping into his older brothers boots and scoring well. His paid max tonight including a sublime pass of Klindt. Kerr had one duff ride but one his others and as the evening went on, started using more of the track. Starke was ok and scoring paid 7 is more than his low average. Rowe and Lawson fine, Tobias excellent and aggressive. Matt Marson clearly just making up the numbers. Plymouth battled but the team has to be favourites for the wooden spoon. Two riders short of competitive. Be interesting if they can bounce back and win on Saturday night.1 point
