Very enjoyable competition this SGP3, lots of new names to watch, and some very determined racing.

I think Poole could bring in ben cook and cairns in a double change for starke and kerr.

Agree, we need weekly speedway or at least fortnightly, having 3 -4 week gaps, folk will find something else to do with their time and money

Average is too high, will never happen. Perhaps he moved up too soon. Leaving the NL behind & going to the Prem as a RS when he was 16 I believe. Kinda hope Cairns doesn't follow suit & takes his time to move up the leagues, take a sensible approach like Luke Harrison does.

Good competitive meeting in terms of it being close, without there being a lot of great racing. Bears started slowly and could never feel comfortable until right at the end. King, Riss and Edwards good for the Bears but Jody Scott deserved his rider of the night award for an excellent debut. Won Redcar the meeting with his points and looked very impressive. Impressed with Gusts and McDiarmid and Masters was quick when he gated. They look a good solid team.

The team was built on boughen at least needing to average 6.5. he's not even keeping his current one up. Evidently a crisis of confidence but downing tools wasn't the way to go about it. Yes some of that camera work was absolutely appalling!!. Great racing from the young lads. 100% commitment. Louis corrected Tatum in the run off, when Tatum said Rushen had pulled out. You could see it was Rushen as he was wearing the red helmet, but Tatum was having no of it. He really needs to show a bit of humility does Tatum. i suppose it's the public schoolboy in him. He thinks he's never wrong. Unfortunately for him though, 9/10 He is 😂

I would like to think he has been asked and declined. I think most Ipswich fans myself included are expecting a defeat on Monday. But listening to the excellent pride of the east podcast this morning it seems the lynn fans aren’t confident either over two legs this could be absolute classic clash

The last paragraph is far to true, to invest in YOUR team and then watch the same riders guest for someone else and help them is so backwards for a competitive sport. And I get it, riders need to make a living and all that jazz, it just doesn’t sit right with me. Nothing against kings Lynn, but I’m an Ipswich fan and to watch some witches riders guest for Lynn was weird. Imagine a Norwich player getting injured so town loan them a player to help out! It’s another reason why I don’t like the averages (but fully understand why for competitiveness), you build a team over years which you feel is yours then have to break it up just because you’re too good.

Promoting stopped back in the late 70’s. I can remember seeing posters etc around Rayleigh and on the A127 etc on most race nights and plenty of articles in the local press. Saturday night and bank holidays at the Weir were packed with families in the stadium and a good smattering of away fans on the back straight. Best were Eastbourne, Ipswich, Canterbury and Crayford but you also had Bradford, Sunderland, Crewe, Ellesmere Port and others who made the journey. Alas this has all gone now and we are left with a shadow of what it used to to be.

In his interview he said that hardly anyone in Birmingham knows that speedway exists, and it's similar around the country... And I thought it was his, and his other promoters' job to ensure that wasn't the case..!!! They had ONE job....😁

Drabik looks very fast. Nicki always picks up points. Holder a bit better. Tungate continues to ride well. Falubaz carrying Jensen and Knudsen. Falubaz will win, but fair match.

Pedersen and Bailey have been the stand outs for me, shame Bailey got that exclusion, Rushen has been quite fortunate

....and breathe!! We've only had BSN meetings to affect Lewi's gsa! Nothing is won in April,/may/June. All those calling for him and Starke to be replaced never suggest suitable replacements that would fit within 40 points. We know one change will happen for July 1st - but who will it be for.....?😉

I don't quite get that argument, Kvech could have 7 rides, Sayfutdinov can't cover all of them? Anyway Kvech may not be in heat 8 if Kildemand is going well as Boughen can't be replaced. My thinking is that as there are 6 third heat leaders / second strings in the Lynn team, there will be 12 races when 2 of them are out together, I'd want Sayfutdinov racing in those heats, not a race where he's guaranteed to only meet one of these stronger riders. If Sayfutdinov is good enough to score a maximum, which I believe he is, it benefits Ipswich for him to have the toughest races, let his teammates pick up points in the "easier" races.

If I recall correctly he has certainly enjoyed his visits to Saddlebow Road over the last 2 years: 03.08.23 - 11+1 (4) 04.09.23 - 14 (5) 23.05.24 - 17+1 (6) 25.07.24 - 13+2 (5) Only losing a single point to an opposing rider from 20 rides is untouchable. I would expect him to score 16 (6). The no T/S option in the cup will be of big benefit to Lynn.

The point is that most teams would not do it for their second heat leader, particularly one as str9ng as Doyle who is completely wasted in ht 8

That’s why most teams do it then! We are lucky to have basically 2 number one riders so it makes sense to me Emil and King Emil and Brennan Emil and Jenkins Emil and Ellis Much rather that then say r/r at 4 and each rider paired with Brennan Emil should be the best rider on show no guarantee obviously…. So in his 5 rides if we can get 4-2 every time that’s a 10 point margin from a third of the races ….. stick r/r at 3 or and you run the risk of getting more 3-3’s Its personal opinion but I think its the right move
