At least I think we can all agree that the Part Time Pirates defeat is completely down to Chris Harris and Simon Lambert and in no way attributable to contracted riders who decided not to bother riding for themšš»7 points

Absolute disgrace from Rushen. Not watching the meeting, so havenāt got a clue what happened, but wonāt let that get in the way of a good opportunity. Ban him from the meeting!5 points

Heās in front and not touched him. Jye gone for gap that was constantly closing. Standard of refereeing is getting worse as the years go on.5 points

The truth is that modern super-tuned finely-balanced machinery has ruined tacks like Ipswich. The rapid pick-up when the throttle is opened, plus the unpredictability on other than perfect surfaces makes them far less suitable on smaller tracks. The behaviour of these machines is resulting in more high-speed crashes (Jack Holderās is a prime example) - previously that would only happen if the throttle jammed open. The riders are to blame for that incessant need to āimproveā, yet all theyāve done is increased costs for everyone.5 points

You really are a complete nob! Insead of accepting and praising Berwick on their 16 point aggregate win, you choose to belittle the final because your Money club who are afraid of the top league havenāt qualified!! Poole fans really are a āspecialā breed!!!4 points

Having just seen the clip, don't think Rushen did anything wrong, could understand an all-four, but wouldn't disagree with an Etheridge exclusion. No excuse for Etheridge's reaction, should've been thrown out of the meeting.4 points

Throttle goes both ways. Cooper was clear in front. Shocking call. Etheridge should have been out.4 points

A fair call... I don't remember PC needing leading link forks, a lay down engine, electric ignition timings, nor a lap top in the pits, to make a Speedway bike "sing".. If BZ got some "Pride" coloured handlebars with matching mudguards, every NDL rider in the land would buy the same, thinking that was "the secret" to his success... It is too small a sport to move onwards and onwards with technology, to gain a (whatever?), as it can only restrict participation due to costs... Dan T's VLOG is fantastic (clubs please take note), and his workshop must have thousands of pounds of spares in it... Hence clubs then need to pay riders enough to afford all this equipment... And, in the UK, to achieve what exactly?....4 points

Signing for a UK club that runs on Wednesdays and signing for a club in Denmark is clearly a massive conflict in fixtures, but when you can just run with a facility... who cares š¤·āāļø3 points

Lost it in the home meeting without your number 13 points

You can tell Poole fans never have dealt with a difficult meeting very often or rode a speedway bike for that matter.3 points

Poor decision, Jye should have gone, throttle goes both ways.3 points

Just to have my pennyworth. Under normal circumstances I wouldn't have signed Klindt, but under the circumstances he has been a godsend. The last 3 weeks at home the bloke has won heats 13 & 15, ensuring the Bears have won 3 last heat deciders. What more do people want?3 points

Got to admit Berwick are clear favourites here after Wednesdays inexplicably poor performance. Stupid dropped points, a lack of interest from certain riders and no Lawson probably cost us a place in the final. With Jenkins at reserve and likely to take 7 rides, it will be a surprise if we manage to get through, especially as we are missing Will Cairns and Rushen has never been there. Excuses done.3 points

Dan T would much rather have been at Sheffield and would have earned more riding at Sheffield for Leicester instead of paying for flights for him and mechanic ,hire car, airport parking and two nights hotel accommodation all to not ride and get his guarantee and then has to fly back again on Saturday to be messed around again . Maybe it is time that the ACU get involved and refuse British riders start permission if they have a clash of meetings in the UK as the PZM have done previously to Polish riders3 points

Well what a good night it's been š out raising money for the Ben fund with a stoney and nick talk in at worky . Watching BSN showing Berwick well and truly beating the pilots. Then reading all the sob stories on here about how badly done for are the pilots. Why can't the Poole fans admit they were well beaten by a better team over 2 legs šš¤2 points

Think it is more of the age maybe? Not sure you can go around trying to punch 16 yr olds. Although trying to punch someone as they ride past is pretty dumb in the first place.2 points
-
Presumably with Denmark taking priority on Wednesday over a Pirates fixture which had been added to the calendar Lawson couldn't have been at Poole anyway. Although of course that's the risk he took when signing for a Danish club.2 points

Well done Berwick fully deserved. Best team over two legs.2 points

Complete neutral. Canāt see what Rushen does wrong. Heās in front and Ethridge doesnāt shut off. Heās not looking for him to try block. Just going for the line thatās available for him.2 points

The Bandits look well up for this tonight... not so much the Part Time Pirates, good of some of them to turn up though I suppose š¤ š2 points

Come on Berwick. Would love to see them in the final. Need to make a good start and put Poole under pressure from the off.2 points

It's going to be tight, but I think Berwick will shade it, Jenkins will be the trump card tonight with probably 7 rides2 points

If he's given the chance and not hounded out by the small-minded promoters around him2 points

Credit to Fraser who has given a full explanation of his injuries on facebook. In addition to the punctured lung, ribs and back injuries that were diagnosed initially he has attempted to come back still in some pain with an undiagnosed slipped disc which was missed originally.2 points

You would like to think Berwick sign Jenkins in place of Lasse as no disrespect Fredriksen struggling for points2 points

I cannot like this post enough, it is everything that is wrong with the sport. Would love to see a Danny King go around Ipswich on a two valve or even a upright Jawa 897 and compare the times bet there wonāt be much in it if at all.2 points

The new promotion need to get some of the fun elements back into the meetings. With Kevin and the late John Earey there was always interaction with the crowd and banter with the riders. I used to love Kevin's poems and still remember John Earey getting fined by the referee for delaying the meeting whilst he picked up Mars bars that were thrown to him, off the track. With Foz its all got so boring, has Foz ever cracked a joke or made a witticism in his life? As well as another announcer we need a character mascot that can help whip enthusiasm . On a positive note, last night it was good to see most of the riders do a lap of honour round the stock car track when they won a race, this should be the norm. How about having some flags with the new logo on that they can wave as they go round, smaller ones could be sold in the track shop for the crowd.2 points

āItās fair to say we are already working on our team for 2027, and we are excited to see the kind of side we can build with the luxury of months to recruit riders, rather than facing the last minute scramble we did for 2026 as most of the teams were already assembled by the time we came to the tableā I really like this fella š2 points

It'll be seven weeks next Friday since the last home meeting and it's ridiculous and it's no wonder people drift away from speedway. Imagine the football being postponed for that length of time during the summer. One day promoters will find out that there is a material called tarpaulin which could be cut into parts to the shape of the corners and laid together over it. Both sides are banked and rain water would drain onto the grass and the meeting could take place after they've been rolled off. Just saying.2 points

Financially Plymouth v Berwick is not what the Plymouth promotion wanted. Only a handful of away fans at each meeting while Poole would have bought down a lot of fans and vice versa. But there is clear lethargy in the Pirates camp. Clear for fans to see. Worst effort I have seen in many seasons. In fact since Brady Kurtz and Jack Holder went on the piss the night before we rode at Ipswich in the 2019 playoff semi final second leg.1 point

No we are having the BSN final in October š1 point

Well done to Berwick, you deserved it and what a fighting spirit. Good luck in the final. Maybe Matt will finally do something now, with his business head on a final against your local derby team and a big crowd guaranteed for the club would have been massive. Oh deah.1 point
-
Seen them go either way but right or wrong, young Cooper has gained a bit of a reputation now and that would not have helped him in this occasion.1 point
-
Nothing to do with riding a bike. Etheridge went for a space that wasnt there. Rushen was always in front and never touched him. All immaterial now as Berwick are clear and away. They have been the better team tonight and good luck to them in the final.1 point

No it doesnāt. in āother sportsā a squad system is utilised. Such squads are made up of multiples of the required number I.e Football - 11 on the squad of 23or 25 and another 20 or so full time ājuniorsā. However, speedway has never been able to work an affordable and competitive squad system. Just to say, whilst I think RR is an acceptable solution for a missing rider, Guests are not, neither is doubling up between Championship and Premier clubs. That said, I remain hopeful that in the not too distant future, a group of professional like minded promoters will, together, begin to influence the much needed change required for UK speedway.1 point

All I know is it's a bit of a 5hitshow, it's bad enough that these riders go missing, for them not to even rode just adds insult to injury! This so called agreement obviously needs looking at so our clubs know when and when not to arrange clashing fixtures, especially with so many blank dates in our fixture list there's really no excuse for this kind of thing to be happening1 point

Were you planning on watching it through a gap in the fence if it was on Davie? Seeing as your barred from getting in..1 point

This is the type of stuff that ALL clubs need to do far more of. You go on some clubsā social media and official websites and theyāre mostly incredibly poor. Some rarely get updated at all and it comes across as they really canāt be bothered. Itās such an easy and simple thing to do and this is the kind of thing Coleman was talking about in terms of lack of promoting. Keep the X posts flowing, Facebook, Official websites, ram it down peopleās throats regularly and keep all the clubs in the forefront of their supporters minds. Its not a hard thing to do.1 point
