Then pull out. The CL shouldn't be backed into a corner by one party, or a minority of parties.6 points

Give me 40 with an 8 team league and 2H2A, rather than 38 with a 9 team league and 1H1A.4 points

I know it really shouldn't be in this section but come on, give me some slack on this to get some publicity! Eastbourne Eagles are riding on Sunday at Iwade Sittingbourne against the Thurrock Hammers (Arena/Lakeside) The meeting starts at 12pm. Gates open at 10am, Raspberry lane, ME9 8SP Adults £13 Concessions (60+) £10 Children under 16 free with a paying adult. And what a line up managed by Eagles legend, Dave 'Floppy' Norris. Scott Nicholls Edward Kennett Nathan Ablitt Paul Starke Jody Scott Henning Loof. Should be good fun with that line up!3 points

You're forgetting, Arnie, that woke can mean anything the speaker or writer wants it to mean. Usually it just means anything you disagree with.3 points

because hes ridden for us before because he is excellent round lynn because leicester might need to let him go to get under the points limit and at the end of the day these kinds of threads are about predictions/ wishlists / speculation and essentially having a bit of fun i dont think anyone would be surprised if he remains a lion but you never know3 points

Don't see the fascination with Ellis. Another who goes missing when needed most. Him and King really needed to step up this year when the top two were injured but didn't. Ellis has been around a while now , has to be well over 10 years and is still not a heatleader and is injury prone. Would get rid.2 points

Phil Morris spoke to a Polish journalist about Emil and Artem. Here is the story: https://po-bandzie.com.pl/zuzel-morris-zabiera-glos-ws-laguty-i-sajfutdinowa-podsumowuje-tez-sezon-gp/2 points

Which is good news. But as the promotion has recently stated, the overall level this year, although better then in recent times have still not been at a level to meet the running costs. If there is to be a 2025 season at Perry Barr, the promoters (and everybody else) know that it will be the last season due to the unavailability of the stadium and in which case, is there a worthwhile reason for running a team with the prospect of losing more money and with no chance of recouping that loss in future years?2 points

Doyle and Mickelsen would of been top 6 had it not been for injury so no surprise with those two picks. Kvech + Huckenbeck are simply in for commercial reasons (Czech + German SGP) although I have nothing against either rider and they were certainly offering something to the SGP. Madsen without the personal problems and able to concentrate on speedway would be more competitive than the latter two. Could it be that if 3G Logistics his ex partner was involved with still a lead sponsor ??? With so much press and even some FIM representatives banging the drum for the return of Sayfutdinov and Laguta back in the SGP I thought it may be possible but not to be. Nothing against Kvech and Huckenbeck but a little underwhelming.2 points

I can't abide the fellow but he deserves his place this year without a doubt !2 points

Many of us watch Polish Speedway similar to the way we watch UK Speedway... ie. More "sports entertainment" than a bone fide sporting contest.. However. In Poland, it is very much "winning matters" as financially there are big rewards, and tonights result will be lead news in the national written and TV news coverage this evening and tomorrow... We might want to be "entertained" but Lublin and Wroclaw fans only want to see their team win.. And if they get entertained too, then that is a bonus..2 points

He will have few “hairy moments “ in the Polish 2nd Division with the kamikaze youngsters to contend with next year.Interesting.1 point

That is a cracking line up for non League Iwade speedway! Lets hope speedway can return to Eastbourne and bid to build on Arlington gets turns down and the stadium sold to persons interested in keeping the stadium as it is!1 point

Of course it's woke, Picking riders based on Nationality rather than picking the best riders available. All about diveristy in having as many Nationalities compete as possible.1 point

Paid 8 Vs Oxford including beating Nichols (albeit off a 15m handicap) was a fantastic effort for a 2 pointer imo. Why wouldn't we be looking at him for next season based on that?1 point

I wonder if this announcement has changed building plans, not just for the brummies but also everyone else's. I imagine Brennan is getting a phone call from every club in the Premiership1 point

Pretty sure he enjoyed being at King’s Lynn more than at Zielona Gora. I know he’s at Torun next year, so might be different. would be lovely if he could bring one of his teammates in Dudek or Lambert back with him1 point

Love him or Hate him Madsen is definitely a Top 15 rider, injustice he didn’t get picked in front of a couple of these wild cards.1 point

Happy to see kvech back in, may not have made top 6 but certainly won a few races and wasn’t afraid to mix it but don’t understand how he got a pic over madsen ? I would like to know the actual thought process in deciding picks as they seem to make very little sense, think the pickers should be made to explain why they choose who they do1 point
-
I don't get all this anti-Madsen stuff, he's finished 2nd, 5th, 7th, 2nd, 5th & 9th (with all his "problems" this year) in the world. He's shown far more over the years than any of the other Danes1 point

Strange, isn't it. Back in the times when I started going to Speedway (1965) we would go to Coventry (and away tracks) to watch a Speedway meeting, because we loved the sport. Whether Coventry were fighting for the League Title or fighting to avoid the wooden spoon, we still went to see a Speedway meeting, because we loved the sport. We went to season opening (and closing) challenge matches to see a Speedway meeting because we loved the sport. Nowadays it seems that others only want to see 'meaningful' meetings. To me, all Speedway meetings are meaningful, the result is just secondary.1 point

Although, of course, the housing at Swindon was never an issue when the track was running.1 point

there would be, or should be, an option for the stadium to have a smaller footprint and for a very limited number of properties, it's a big old site. Doesn't have to be houses, could be all weather sports pitches for example thus maintaining a leisure theme.1 point
