Or maybe eventually brought the mathematical equation into the range of the powers that be.......

Knowing Poole's luck/planning, expect Starke will have his best season for years, Foord will have an average one and be back next season on a similar average as this year. Hope not from Workington's point of view but could happen.
-
Good second signing and like the ethos of a 30 year old heat leader and a promising 15 year old as the first 2 signings. See on the bspa website Jamie was 2nd to Cairns in the youth championship this year so an ideal signing. A 15 year old, a 30 year old, who's 45 and still riding......

One way or another he should be forgotten about, and if he's any sence should have got a proper job by now..... -
If Kerr can stay injury free, in the Poole 'environment ' he will at least keep his average.

Sure it'll go all season at least with the set up at Iwade. I think every fan of Eastbourne and Kent realises this is a new venture and think it'll enhance the support. Distance maybe a problem for some, me included to go on a regular basis, but as said think spectator numbers will be good enough to make the project successful.

Wasn't that always the case back in the recent hayday of development in the NL when the likes of Brennen/ Flint/ Kemp etc were youngster's, when you and I thought it was a great league to be in with Kent and Eastie ? Just think a few of the older heads helped then, even the ones who found the NL to be their level/safety net? Morley and the like must be able to help with set ups/track craft etc now I would have thought.
-
Looks a good rule to me, especially with the 2 leagues. I'm still of the thought that the likes of Morley coming back in can only help youngsters with their development in these leagues. Jon Armstrong always springs to mind, all the help he gave to youngsters over the years in the NL, even though much the time he was a heat leader.

With 40 point limit held for the next 3(?) seasons unfortunately it's going to look the same every year for the foreseeable future, spiralling downwards.
-
It all stems from not enough riders, especially good riders in the Premiership, mugged away the chance back in the Elite/Sky days. If you had a stand alone Premiership with top line riders, without the doubling up of so many and only a few of the heat leaders from the championship in the Premiership it wouldn't be the problem, and you'd have natural progression from NL to championship with closer racing and progression of the ones to make it, or be competitive in the championship. Unfortunately through bad management/promotion of the product, those days have gone....shame, not enough teams left to do it now and the problems Poland have caused with race nights means almost no way back.

Expect a couple of ports out of the decanter help.....

Just hope Kerr has an injury free season for you, he's had so many bad injuries through the years, one or 2 have taken a lot of guts to come back from.
-
You mean speedway I assume? Once a week if you're lucky, but more often a 2 or 3 week gap, then nothing for 6 months.....
-
Apart from Lawson, who always seems to deliver, they'll all have to step up next season, still looking a strong side and maybe another rabbit out the hat for the last rider, but can't see them dominating like they did last season, although they normally seem to get it right. Nice to see the last heat leaders Eastbourne had being employed by Poole again ....
-
Suppose the only thing is if 2 or 3 of you go and normally share a programme, if included would make it dearer for their evening.
-
He was the only No1 that was never really liked by the Eastbourne fans( me included). When you think Bjarne Pedersen won us over with his likeability and professionalism fairly quickly, having been the arch enemy captain for all those years at rivals Poole. We weren't hard to win over, but Zagar always seemed to have an 'I'm better than here' attitude to the fans.
-
I'll announce I'll probably have a No 2 at 7am tomorrow.....
-
Age factor/injuries could catch up, especially Doyle, reckon the pairings will be closer to being the same next year than 2024, just need an injury free season to see.
-
Think the sure dose was the problem from word go......
-
Top promoter, his attention to detail and making sure everything's correct is at the same level as making sure the fuel taps definitely on....... Fantastic team assembled and deserve the success they were robbed of last season, fingers crossed injury free next season.
-
Floppy actually was Eastbourne's No 1 in 2004 with a nearly 10 point average, even when Nicki was at his peak, such a shame after a broken leg, then concussion he never quite got to those heights again. Nicki always preferred to ride at 5 I reckon because it meant normally less team riding as well.
-
Used to be that way, always remember Crump and Pedersen preferring to be at 5, gave the track time to bed in before their first ride.
-
Is it just me, but do any others think Kvech will prove to be a pretty good number 1 this season with the experience of last year beginning to learn tracks etc. If he can after the first average changes, with Ben riding in the middle order or at 5 would be a solid team, not playoff winners I imagine but certainly could get to them, a lot of ifs what's and maybes but probably won't lose many at home.
