  1. Is that the lot Kym Marsh was in? Didn't realise their language was that bad.
  2. I'd rather he'd stay in this country, but Arlington didn't do Nicki Pedersen a lot of harm when he was at his best winning world championships, he even commented it improved his skill on all tracks including the bigger ones and his gating.
  3. Don't suppose anything can be done with money owed to riders, but wonder if any new promotion could at worst give discounts or even a free meeting (or 2)to people like yourself owed money if the info can be found, cost a bit at the start, but hopefully would pay back long term.
  4. I'm sure this is the general consensus from most speedway fans, realising it's not the 'club' but the last promotion, pretty convinced it won't tarnish the Dugard legacy and hopefully we can move on, but will take something special.
  5. Age is just a number so I'm told and he does look fit and lean, not obviously at the same level, but a lot younger than Greg Hancock when he retired from top line speedway.
  6. Seems to be a thing with grasstack, especially in the sidecars, surnames there I recognise from when I went as a boy. I must go again next season especially if Eastbourne don't run, Brands hatch and grasstack instead
  7. Many thanks, as I say admire the guys who keep racing for so long.
  8. Just carry on with the one you kept going in the Premiership this season, covers all eventualities.
  9. They don't really, just need to do a slightly better job than this year in the most competitive league and keep Saturday night. Should keep the fans coming in if you can be nearer the top from go( although Eastbourne didn't help that cause this season) and keep costs to a viable amount I suppose.
  10. I suppose I should say I have done a couple since that time to see current (ish) bikes, worse thing is living in Chichester there's never any close by to speak of unless I venture into Kent, although did see Kelvin Tatums last ride at the Bonfire Burnup ( which he won) and some time ago saw a very young Lewis Denham mop up a meeting near Gatwick airport. Talking about it makes me feel I should try and get to a few next year.
  11. Surely the guests have been banned for riding overseas, well over Solent?
  12. I used to do solo motocross in the 70's and although follow speedway now and grasstack back in that era, haven't followed grasstack for years, or quad racing. Just a quick question is the John Elliott in the quads the former top line sidecar racer from the 70's/80's, had a few meetings where he rode, think he may have come 3rd in the world once? If it is just admire these guys who still do competitive racing through their lives right through to today.
  13. That should be ideal, but always remember the first ever one Eastbourne vs Wolves, we were by far the best all season, qualified for the final and didn't ride for at least 2 weeks, Wolves came in race ready, we were slightly rusty and didn't quite fire like we did all season and lost it.
  14. Said years and years ago, 42 points for every league and leave it alone for 3 seasons, everyone can team build at the end of the season knowing what next season will be. Too simple and won't happen though.
  15. Great to see Nathan and Jason doing the business for Mildenhall and winning the NL title, along with Tom mixing it with the big boys at BV. Ah what could have been, young locally developed riders the base of the next Dugard, Norris type of era, oh well not to be.
  16. Be great to see both , but only one choice if just the one, has to be the still rapidly improving young Brit.
  17. Indeed and imagine the likes of Tom Brennen, Palin, and a Thompson etc have 'risen' enough to warrant a team place on their averages anyway?
  18. Can't believe early on I ( and many others) were singing his praises on various things including the online booking etc. Feel a bit silly now. Just hope it doesn't totally finish the club off, going to need to be some really trustworthy promoters coming in ( hopefully) to get over this.
  19. Proving the point fixed race nights do nothing now I suppose, that likely to change?
  20. Looks set to continue as you say, I know the Poles dominating now and dictating rules is the main problem at the moment, if they relaxed the rules on only one other country how many would still ride here I wonder? Also it makes you wonder how the likes of Nicki Pedersen managed it all back in the day, when he rode for Eastie ( missing very few matches) ,he also rode in Poland, Sweden,Denmark and the GP's.
