  1. Oh dear great words from the skipper in the press after Sheffield but failed to deliver again…….I’m trying to be positive but that’s that now play offs gone
  2. I don’t think so, the teams that Louis has put together have in the main been good but we have been unlucky with injuries over the years. Only 2021 was a poor year. And don’t forget that Louis also runs a club that doesn’t have the financial issues that seem to blight many these days. Hawkins is also a promoter so he isn’t going anywhere but his position as team manager must be looked at. id like to see Mark Loram involved in the set up helping bring on the youngsters although he’d make a good manager if he could fit it around his business commitments.
  3. I have some sympathy with Louis. The pre season loss of Thomas was massive & the illness issues Riss has had has been a blow. Both those guys fully fit in the team then I think we’re looking at a completely different scenario. however to get the replacement of Thomas wrong twice is unforgivable & Riss should have been permanently replaced with someone other than Barker. what’s left for this season? Either bring in two riders & go for broke trying to make the play off of bring in a couple for with a view to next season & get Doyle’s average down a bit. as for next year I really hope Emil stays on board, Emil, doyle on a lower average & Rew for next year. the rest requires a clear out…….although the make up of the league (s) will have a big impact on what comes next. up the witches
  4. Just in case you were worried about your number one fan, as he has gone very quite. I’m pleased to let you know basso racing fan has appeared safe & well talking his brand of bollocks on the Sheffield Ipswich thread.
  5. Good to see you’re well…. I’ve been worried you have gone very quite on the Peterborough thread since Johnson quit
  6. I’d start with Emil…. The concern is what the state of the league will be next year
  7. Said it before but let’s say it again if there is any chance two changes have got to be made. The injury to Thomas pre season was a major blow but to replace him twice with the weakest options was & still is baffling. Add in the issues with Riss it’s certainly been a tough one!
  8. Given the current shambles I’m surprised there is such a thing as a promoters license…..
  9. Sitting in seat number one we have guest dog buster who is making his debut tonight. replacing Mr Smith who unfortunately had been double booked to drink coffee at the local Costa drive though. we are also operating crowd replacement in the back straight stand. Reason unknown but expect a statement tomorrow
  10. We’re the BSPL/SCB & yes we do think you are all that stupid!!
  11. Maybe the BSPA are in on this “great reset” idea? Every country will install speedway as its national sport……in a few years Belle Vue will be riding in front of sellout crowds at old Trafford following a stadium swap with Manchester United due to the lack of interest in football.
  12. I don’t believe any of it to be honest. I don’t think he was ever going to be at Wolves last night.
  13. He did mention this in his interview at the go last weekend with Scotty. it’s great news for speedway if it happens….I wonder where he will end up? my only concern is what sort of premiership will there be next year
  14. The issue here is that it was well documented last week on here, social media etc that Laguta would be missing from the Lynn line up on Monday. now 24 hours after the event a statement is released which isn’t believable stating that a doctors certificate was produced yesterday. let’s face Laguta was never going to appear at wolves that had been know for a week & the scb was issued this today after being made to look silly with all the where is Artem tweets on live tv last night…..
  15. Laguta is about as injured as the pit gate was broken earlier in the season. Buster is certainly getting his moneys worth from the ladybird book of bullrubbish this season
  16. Not really buster managed to get you a facility for pedersen
  17. Agreed he has been awesome, fingers crossed Louis can retain him in 2024
  18. The big balls up was putting King anywhere near this team, far to hit & miss last season & has proved so agin this
  19. Ironic then that some of the best for giving up when at the back have been poles!
  20. The demise started long before Sky came on board. The top flight has been in trouble since the mid/late 80s. Sky was the golden egg that should have sparked a new dawn but was completely mis managed by the powers that be. The demise has accelerated over the last 20 years but can be traced way back to the 80s
  21. I’m really worried that Louis has now wasted the golden chance that having Doyle & Emil in the same team provided. signing a weak R/S because of a pre season injury to your first choice is one thing but making the same mistake twice is madness, While also agreeing to allow the strong option that is your asset to sign for one of your rivals.
