Lakeside V Poole Friday 1st July
stevebrum replied to mdmc82's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
They scored well, holder riding like you expect whilst Ellis showing his parent track knowledge. This is probably more of a shock result than Leicester winning at Swindon. -

How poor are the Hammers to lose to that assembled side? A top 4 spot looks in doubt after that performance. Gotta say a huge well done to those Pirate guests who deserve huge credit. -

Easy win for the hammers at the moment predicted by Poole fans. -
I was always lead to believe that you can't take another guest booking at that track under the 7 day rule. Has no effect if the guest is there with his parent club within that time.

We all saw it being likely. When I asked CVS the question at the talk in about not enough Mondays free with Cradley on alternate weeks he said that we had enough free and we had Tuesdays as back up. surely he should move Cradley to a couple of Tuesdays for the senior team or are the tenants getting the better deal?

Should Tai Woffinden Ride For Team Gb ?
stevebrum replied to robert72's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Tai is loved by many it's just the same one and his imaginary friends who hate him. I bet he will hate all the air horns going off to welcome their hero home. WOFFY WOFFY WOFFY. Proud Britain's finest. -
Coventry V Swindon Friday 1st July

Swindon should be looking for 4 points. -
How did I? Did I say it was a great crowd and atmosphere and the racing after heat 4 was affected mostly by the weather conditions? Positive slant on the product I would say. Was Monday not poor then? Please correct all I have got wrong then. Of course I'm happy to see the EL on SKY next week , that's the league I prefer and has better quality racing (IMHO of course). So yes words were put into my mouth, incorrectly.
-
I'm assuming we can yes. Just cant sign more than 2 double up riders (EDR's don't count)

PL snob. If Mondays meeting is a judge for the PL then you may as well kill the sport now. I'd love to see more PL and NL matches on TV, so in general I'd like to see more speedway being covered. Monday was a dire advert for the sport, Wednesday showed what an atmosphere the sport can generate however after heat 4 whilst the racing was often close (it's saving grace) there wasn't much passing after the 1st lap.

Kylmakorpi ruled out for a month, any injury is likely to rock your season so this is going to make it tough for us. http://www.wolverhamptonwolves.co/news.php?extend.2512

I do not ignore the poor EL meetings at all and have never said all EL meetings are better than the PL so please don't put words in my mouth. The EL meetings on sky this year have all been pretty good but there have been plenty of stinkers over the years. Often when SKY cover the PL the matches are pretty good however what this week has proved is that the PL has poor and averages matches just like any other league.
-
Shame that the weather ruined the track and that it turned into a one line racestrip in the end. Awesome crowd and atmosphere what a refreshing sight to see. At least there were a few decent heats as well. However thank god sky are back in the EL next week as it's been a poor advert for PL racing this week.

Leicester V Coventry Mon 27th June
stevebrum replied to stevethelion's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
any win for Leicester is a good win considering how poor they are so beating teams who aren't all that much better should essential. Selective reading Gem, you just ignored the part where I said Coventry deserved the win at kings Lynn last week. Look and double check if you missed it. There is no need to apologise. Not able to make Saturday due to other racing commitments which is disappointing as I missed the A fixture. obviously anything less than a win will be a poor show from us. -
He was 6th in 2010 so has already finished in the top 8.
