  1. Been complaining about the speaker near the stand after the finishing line being poor. Its bad enough the announcer is poor added to the inadequate speaker , folk around me are constantly asking for results, riders etc.
  2. Sorry but there was lots of social distancing. I suppose you personally know all the groups of friends and relatives that can legitimately stand together? A good proportion of supporters (presumably more at risk folk ) were also wearing masks. Certain clubs are trying hard to give supporters some form of Speedway, give them credit ,rather than just knocking their efforts.
  3. Crowd limit of 500, with local Councillors in attendance to probably report back their observations. Crowd well spaced out, with 20% perhaps wearing face coverings.
  4. Think I can evacuate far easier from the EWR than I could Cardiff. I don't think the local authority will count people through the gates for such a low ranking meeting-unless the council worker is on overtime! Lets face it how many speedway meetings in UK are at full capacity in good times never mind with a Pandemic lurking.
  5. First come, first served and there will be a limit . However if Rob gets a crowd of over 6902 I am sure he will be delighted. If he gets over 400 it will be a bumper crowd for a youth meeting.
  6. Bunyen for Sam Masters was a pretty poor replacement for the Scorpions too.
  7. Such a trick track, it was voted Track of the Year again! Wide with many lines and so much passing, pity the recognised Homer's tracks are not as forgiving.Open all year for Amateurs and for practise It caters for all riders from World Champions to beginners.
  8. I'm sure Rob and the less bitter, normal speedway supporters, will think nothing of team building until poor Danny Ayres is finally in his resting place.
  9. So shocked at the sad news. RIP Danny ,you will be badly missed.
  10. Awful news. Always gave 100% and a genuine man off track too. RIP Danny.
  11. Strange how Mr Godfrey copped all the flak when he was Vice Chairman, now he is Chairman he still cops it. Why don't you have a go at the current Vice Chairman, or the other management members? Like it or lump it, Rob Godfrey is first and foremost a speedway fan and does not feather his nest and make loads of money from running a speedway club. It is Stockcars , non league and training events that fund his Speedway team. It would be very interesting to know, how many Promotors actually put themselves forward to be constantly shot at? By the way, I have nothing to do with the club, or management, just a supporter of many decades through thick and thin, who has watched his team thrashed many ,many times.
  12. Telegraph only shows last weeks news, which we've all read online anyway, so don't expect too much there. Our one and only local sports reporter, probably has to have his copy in for tomorrows paper now.
  13. Our nearest away track is 81 miles to the South (Lions ) and next nearest is 108 miles to the North (Bears). So this season we Scorpions have no local derby and lots of travelling anyway.
  14. Yep, does it for me-well done. Now the hard work sticking them on back of buses, vans, shop windows, notice boards, schools etc.
  15. Photos good , wording is good, but not keen on the angular font. ( it might be funky, but not the clearest to see). Driving past a poster people would probably not take in day, or time- apart from that, a good effort Dan.
  16. Serious question. Has Danny Ayres been on a speedway bike since his accident? How is he progressing?
  17. Ok we get it, you hate all Scorpion riders with never anything positive to say about them or the Promotion.
  18. Glad Stefan got signed up by you Pirates. He has been a pleasure for us to watch at Scunny and will do a great job for you. A genuine nice guy, modest and a sharp wit. We will miss you Stefan, on track and post race meetings, Have a good season in 2020, but don't come back and score well at the EWR.
  19. Depends if Rob has forgiven Howarth for slating his dry track and wearing his tyre out.
  20. This team was touted before the end of the season. Tero, Lambo Josh and Danny to re announce. It was said then, no ambition, no big number one and very vulnerable in heats 13 and 15. Not impressed at all , mid table at best.
