That's the thing about a job, you have to work alongside colleagues you don't like but for the business you do the best you can. For the Stars, Garrity is as good as any as a replacement for Kerr. Bite the bullet and get on with it for the sake of the team. Nobody has had any issues with Jason at Scunthorpe and Belle Vue. In fact his character has had the opposite effect with what most fans and rider's comments about him. He may have turned a corner with his personality and become more grounded. I hope the promotion can see past the fact they may not like someone. It's their job to do what's best for the club and that's employing the best for the job. Garrity fits the bill

Looking at the numbers, with Stevie Worrall returning to the Aces line-up I wonder if the Stars management are looking to pick up Jason Garrity.
-
The only way Buster can really make a statement of intent is by redeclaration and Keeping Iversen, Lambert and Proctor. The problem is that when available, would you find better than Jorgensen and MPT?!? Kerr's average is one of those that can only really be replaced by a bang average rider. The management team really are between a rock and a hard place in this situation. I think continue as they are with R/R and hope there's no more injuries and fixture clashes with Denmark.
-
You won't get any top quality, rabbit out the hat for under a 6 average. Any replacement will be a run of the mill, 2nd string type rider. The options are a rider from the Championship, a Swede or Pole that don't compete in any top league's or try to convince Huckenbeck. Expectations have to be set low and hope any replacement just punches above their weight.
-
It's a no worse signing than continuing with Andersen. One thing you can guarantee with Simon is he can pop out the starts, upset a few rider's to the first and second turns. From his 3 rides, if the team can get 3-3's or even 4-2 negative all isn't lost. If we lose matches it's because some of the rest of the team haven't justified their current average.
-
The opposite, we could have used guests up to 4 points (5.20 Championship) but the club have regularly chosen poorer guest options. Originally the rule was to be that foreign rider's averages couldn't drop below 4 for team building but for replacements his actual average would be used (2.55 Prem & 3.32 Champ). The latter seems to have been dropped as Andersen's average should have been reassessed as he never completed 4h 4a fixtures but May 1st.
-
One thing brining in Lambert has confirmed is we can get a new 4 pointer or a Championship rider on a 5.20 or less. Gives the club breathing space to look around as guests in that position will be shocking. In terms of replacements for Kerr, I don't think running R/R will be all that bad. 1 of Jorgensen, Toft and Proctor will be at reserve and get 7 rides and all of those 3 are available for R/R. All more than capable cover, the team just has to remain injury free. Another injury and that WILL be season over.

The sport is on such hard times that apparently, next time I visit King's Lynn I'm gonna be "outted" and banned because of my views on the club.
-
Think when Iversen does 2 more home fixtures (If he available for selection before August ) there won't be much difference in the averages. His form has improved and Lambert's average constantly rising we have to look for replacements with Kerr's current average rather than trying to over complicate the situation. I think Bach would be a very good replacement, the only issue would be another rider with Danish commitments.
-
Rene Bach is best possible rider available from the Championship to replace Kerr (If Kerr's season is over that is?!?). A replacement for Andersen is a tougher option to find as I'm sure his replacement would have to be his actual average (2.55). His 4.00 average is just for team building only

Nope

He does but rarely let King's Lynn down last season. All rider's develop and peak at different rates. One thing I won't do is criticise Auty, good form so far this year and the next couple of years could see him reach potential. All I was confirming is his average is to high for King's Lynn (who employ plenty of British riders also speedy bill), but I, 100% believe he should be in the Premiership and I was one that wouldn't have minded him being included in the Stars initial 1-7. As it happened, his inclusion would have been better than signing Rose but hindsight is a wonderful thing.
-
You can keep saying, once again, just so you understand AUTY'S AVERAGE DOES NOT FIT
-
You like banging the Auty drum. Just so you're clear on the situation, his average is to high.
-
Could you imagine the situation if British Speedway moves to 1 big league?!? Some teams would need R/R for 3 team spots by mid season due to lack of rider's.
-
Anyone under 5.20 for Andersen Anyone under 7.53 for Kerr All without existing 2018 Premiership averages
-
÷1.3

He's been in awful form, shouldn't be considered

Kings Lynn v Leicester Lions 4/7/2018

I think he's gone far and above the admission refund hasn't he?!? I thought they only count £1 back from heat 10 but he included to heat 15. Any 1 of the remaining home fixtures for £9 is just about satisfactory. Well done Mr K Chapman -

That's a phrase I haven't heard to describe someone's wife. Little offensive. As for earning nothing, that's part and parcel of injuries to self employed worker's. Don't see people scrambling to raise money for self employed worker's that fall off scaffolding daily. -
Just a brief passing comment as don't venture into the NL threads, is things going well at NL level at Leicester? Decent amount of original Coventry spectators?
-
Because Rye's fixtures are expunged maybe the rider's averages are too, Harris average may be a conversion of his Championship average. If they don't have a Championship ave then the rider's are reassessed. Think that's what they did with Birmingham rider's a few seasons ago. Somerset are a point under the 42.50 and under a Championship conversion would fit for Vissing.

The rules may be better than years gone by but we're talking about King's Lynn. In years gone by Buster would always allow any 1 of the next 3 meetings or the rearranged fixture free for 8 or less heats. £1 off each heat not run from 9 to 12. Regardless of the rules anyway if a result doesn't stand fans are ripped off and people are turning away from the sport because of it. People are picking and choosing fixtures due to the weather, what happened Wednesday may see people go once or twice a year, or never again. -

For years SL I thought the same, never criticised Buster or anything King's Lynn. Like some of the other Stars supporters on here, I would shoot people down for negativity. For me I feel in the last 2-3 years supporters seem to have become a burden to him. Years ago us fan where so important to him, immediately on the mic to explain what's going on etc. Going by what's been said with regards Wednesday it seems he didn't want to address anything. In the past when he got heckled on the mic he'd answer back. To just hand the mic back and walk off isn't the Buster you and I remember. The way he handled situations last season was nothing short of appalling. People obviously say you should move on, go or don't go, but when the club you so used to love starts to fall apart why should I just disappear. I want King's Lynn as a club to be great again, an atmospheric place to be for everybody. The Premiership Buster is a totally different monster than the Premier League Buster. -
The continuing decline of Speedway
Daniel Smith replied to wealdstone's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Absolutely, the views of those that do not attend are far more important to the future of the sport than those that see no wrong. The ever decreasing spectators is a massive massive problem yet the voices are not heard and constantly shot down, it's like tracks are getting gates of 5000+ how promoters and some fans behave.
