It surprised me too but I heard that once he got sorted at Landshut he didn't need/want Prem. Might not be true of course but if it is I wonder if his experience at Oxford last year put him off?

The security certificate for the site has expired apparently.

It's called No Brakes No Fear, a magazine style show ech week during the season hosted by @IanBrannan
-
Wright didn't want Prem AFAIK, Iversen very much on Northampton's radar and that may still be the case despite his fall. Smektala also in the frame as well as others already mentioned on the thread.

British final 15th August
Bagpuss replied to Neila's topic in Speedway Testimonials & Individual and Shared Events
Auto correct one assumes rather than somebody deliberately being a berk. -
It's far from ideal and hopefully the reasons for that will become clear but personally I wouldn't rule out going somewhere a month before the first fixture. The main thing British Speedway does wrong is the lack of information even if there isn't much to tell and rhats happening here unfortunately.

Their first home fixture is four weeks away.

I think it would be a backward step to not have a media day and it would probably be beneficial for the other two leagues to do one too.

What about Northampton?
Bagpuss replied to RoundTheBoards's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
If they have a motorway blade then stocks and speedway on the same circuit is not an issue. I can't believe its something they won't have thought about! -

Greater media impact I'd have thought. If you say it all now there is far less to reveal between now and May. -
-
If you believe the bloke in charge then he and Speedway Futures have thought about it already.
-
Loads of people seem to do that, must be auto correct.

And then keep employing that crap Aussie 👀

Belle Vue are the only team allowed to have bad luck, you should know that by now.

Premiership Predictions 2026

Sheffield BV Lynn Leicester Ipswich (Northampton) -
Not unusual for riders to agree verbally for one team and then end up signing for another. Hopefully Northampton is happening and Lawson has just been offered something better (could just be certainty) by Ipswich.

Championship Predictions 2026
Bagpuss replied to Paddy The Rebel's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Would broadly agree with that, I think the top four you have identified stand out clearly from the rest on on paper. Unless Poole are scuppered by injuries they should win it at a canter. -
Bartosz would still win.

Bit more meat on the bones here: https://www.lynnnews.co.uk/sport/linnets-in-sprinkler-storm-9454621/ Didn't John Perrin do something similar at Kirky Lane once?

I think the day we take any notice of what a Holder has to say is probably the day to pack it all in. -

Plymouth? Whatever Mark Philips is doing down there, others need to follow suit. -

Completely agree, the negativity on here has been pretty staggering. At least let it happen before slagging it off! Its been happening for a long time, all the best to everybody involved.
