  1. Yep enjoyed that, good mixture of views from the guests (and accents 😁) What's the host's name?
  2. Glasgow reserves combined most recent greensheets = 5.05 Poole's = 8.04 Pretty clear who has most strength at reserve. Expecting the difference to be significant in both legs so Glasgow's top five need to score big twice.
  3. Hadn't heard about this podcast, have downloaded all episodes and will give them a listen this week 👍
  4. IF Bewley did move (don't see it personally if he's getting a testimonial) then it might not be anything to do with the track but simply the need for a fresh challenge and a change of club, sometimes that can be good for a sportsperson or what they feel they need.
  5. Was his 'ban' in 2022 when he decided to ride in Poland and Sweden instead of the UK?
  6. Glasgow's recent inaction and the weakness of their reserves would comcern me a bit as a Tigers fan, Poole have a fair bit of momentum at the moment and know how to get the job done at the business end of the season. Glasgow will need to keep things tight in the away leg to have any chance.
  7. Leicester will feel they could have won on another night, they battled hard and threw points away. Not a great deal between the sides in the end. Well done to the Witches though, worthy champions 🏆
  8. Its not that far away either, ten minutes from the town centre. What might well prove difficult is getting Coventry or P'boro speedway fans there regularly as its an hour to both cities. I wish whoever takes it on the very best and hope it succeeds.
  9. A pity this was rearranged from a couple of weeks ago when some of us had arranged travel and hotels. Hope its a good meeting for everyone and the Young Stars monopolise the top 5 😅
  10. Personally I think the whole 'on their phones' comment by Dickson has been blown way out of proportion, for me the point he was trying to make was that some of his riders had their heads down and needed cajoling hence the team meeting. Despite how he prepares his track when we race there I have a lot of time for him, you always get honesty when he speaks and he is always very gracious to the opposition. He wears his heart on his sleeve and I'd suggest if a microphone gets put under his nose while feelings are running high during a Play Off final then you will probably hear something a bit juicy, probably why TNT did that.
  11. As usual you are running on about something you know very little about, I'm a season ticket holder and in the majority of home meetings he was box office. There were a couple of meetings he was all at sea in terms of speed but he was generally very good and I'd have him back next year.
  12. I'm sure its not as simple as that. As has been said they had a deal which fell through late in the day, pretty sure Parr was on an episode of No Brakes No Fear at the time and explained it. No doubt they would prefer seven riders rather than having to source guests. They never seem to have much luck with injuries/illness unfortunately.
  13. I dont think we saw the best version of Leicester last night but much of that is down to Ipswich's performance and not allowing the Lions to be at their best. The reserves were the main difference, Kemp is such a frustrating enigma. Emil and Brennan were outstanding, the former was unfortunate in 15 when Douglas parked it in front of him. The second leg ought to be a formality but if Leicester make some starts and get an early lead it could get interesting. Expect the Witches to hit 50 though and have it won before heat 15.
  14. Not really sure what you expected, he is a 6 ish point rider nowadays in the Prem and rode to that average. The entertainment factor is worth far more though.
  15. I was referring to Wimborne Road. Late 90's / early 00's it was excellent. Redcar always been very good in my experience.
  16. Very much like Lynn, but that is mainly due to the high clay content material which just doesnt suit modern speedway bikes. That said it very, very rarely has bumps and holes. Perhaps a poor track gives Poole greater home advantage and home wins mean more bums on seats. Wouldn't be the first club to do that.
  17. I think Michelsen can count himself rather unlucky. The Tai one is very odd.
  18. Maybe but that had nothing to do with last night's crash, none of the GP boys were in that heat, he had made a good start and was in complete control of the race. Just a big slice of bad luck, it happens.
  19. I think its more likely because it just not a very good speedway track nowadays. Used to be very good but that was some time ago (20 years plus).
