  1. Can't see them giving two Aussie WC's with two in the series already but you never know. Personally I'd go Fricke over Doyle but that's personal preference, you can make a strong case for either.
  2. Difference is the vast majority of meetings at BV are very good. Pretty much all of the other Prem tracks provide a really good spectacle once in a while.
  3. Not this season, and not once has he shook Rob Lyon's hand (Chris Louis did every time). Poor.
  4. Forgive my ignorance but why would fuel testing put somebody off riding? Wouldn't anyone potentially cheating just change their fuel with that kind of notice?
  5. I think the weather probably helped with the racing last night too. While meetings later in the season can mean wet and cold tracks it can also help get a bit more moisture in the base, the surface was pretty much perfect last night for most of the meeting with enough grip for those who wanted to use it. Wasn't slick and dusty and the racing reflected that. Really looking forward to the two legs of the final, hopefully both sides are at full strength amd the dreaded guests can be avoided.
  6. Whatever happens in heat 15, well done Sheffield for a great performance against the odds.
  7. Etheridge can count himself a little unfortunate to be left out of heat 14.
  8. Fricke never looked quick enough there, great ride from Holder. Really good meeting so far, glad I left the curtains/blinds open!
  9. This should be a very comfortable aggregate victory for Leicester but its Play Off speedway so you never know. An Ippo v Leic final has the potential to be very close indeed.
  10. I don't disagree with you as I prefer the top of the league system, but while Play Offs attract bigger crowds and any TV deal demands it then they are here to stay.
  11. I think Ipswich are favourites and I'm expecting them to win it all things being equal but I think they will be made to gallop at times rather than canter by Sheffield or Leicester.
  12. That's like backing a horse and it trailing in last, but sticking a hundred quid on it didn't make it a bad decision ๐Ÿ˜
  13. Premiership is governed by the TNT deal but the Championship has made an absolute horlicks of their fixtures this year with none of the competitions anywhere near being concluded. No doubt due to riders being unavailable at various times due to foreign commitments, not to mention all the guests used for uninjured riders. Its been a complete mess and will probably only get worse before the end of October. A massive rethink needed for next year.
  14. My assumption is that each driver takes a load of family and friends. Its certainly not my cup of tea but crowds are always good and essentially I'd say it funds the speedway team. Unfortunately that means high clay material but thats just how it has to be I guess.
  15. Quite a bit of quite frankly ridiculous criticism of Kurtz & Bewley, the track was treacherous and if you didn't gate it was game over. Don't blame any rider for not taking risks let alone those two. Well done Ipswich, boooo to the weather.
  16. I'm convinced 'that septet' would have done in the end but for Cook's broken wrist.
  17. Nowhere near enough for BV. Ipswich will have the tie won long before heat 15 on Thursday.
  18. Don't forget televised Extraliga II meetings in Poland on Thursdays too.
  19. Not like you to be defensive about your own team ๐Ÿ˜ have a day off with the bias. Nobody is saying that anything matters more than anything else, its just an example of how things could have been different. And shows that from a Lynn perspective we weren't a million miles away. All ifs, buts and maybes of course. So don't go looking for a disagreement where there isn't one, theres a good lad ๐Ÿ‘
  20. Also just been informed that if we'd won that BV away fixture when Jan was injured and beaten them at home in April when we had all those engine failures and only lost by two then we'd be going into Monday's meeting with Sheffield with fourth place in our own hands ๐Ÿ˜ฉ The fine margins of sport!
