GP line-up and venues for 2026
Bagpuss replied to racers and royals's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Can't see them giving two Aussie WC's with two in the series already but you never know. Personally I'd go Fricke over Doyle but that's personal preference, you can make a strong case for either. -
I think the weather probably helped with the racing last night too. While meetings later in the season can mean wet and cold tracks it can also help get a bit more moisture in the base, the surface was pretty much perfect last night for most of the meeting with enough grip for those who wanted to use it. Wasn't slick and dusty and the racing reflected that. Really looking forward to the two legs of the final, hopefully both sides are at full strength amd the dreaded guests can be avoided.

I don't disagree with you as I prefer the top of the league system, but while Play Offs attract bigger crowds and any TV deal demands it then they are here to stay.

Oxford vs Poole 17/9/25 BSN SF 2nd leg.

Sounds like Swindon are a good watch this season. -
I think Ipswich are favourites and I'm expecting them to win it all things being equal but I think they will be made to gallop at times rather than canter by Sheffield or Leicester.

That's like backing a horse and it trailing in last, but sticking a hundred quid on it didn't make it a bad decision ๐ -

Premiership is governed by the TNT deal but the Championship has made an absolute horlicks of their fixtures this year with none of the competitions anywhere near being concluded. No doubt due to riders being unavailable at various times due to foreign commitments, not to mention all the guests used for uninjured riders. Its been a complete mess and will probably only get worse before the end of October. A massive rethink needed for next year. -
My assumption is that each driver takes a load of family and friends. Its certainly not my cup of tea but crowds are always good and essentially I'd say it funds the speedway team. Unfortunately that means high clay material but thats just how it has to be I guess.

Ipswich v Belle Vue POSF Leg 2
Bagpuss replied to blue witch's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Quite a bit of quite frankly ridiculous criticism of Kurtz & Bewley, the track was treacherous and if you didn't gate it was game over. Don't blame any rider for not taking risks let alone those two. Well done Ipswich, boooo to the weather. -

I'm convinced 'that septet' would have done in the end but for Cook's broken wrist. -

Nowhere near enough for BV. Ipswich will have the tie won long before heat 15 on Thursday. -

Doyle is locked in my shed Mwahahahahahahaha -
Not like you to be defensive about your own team ๐ have a day off with the bias. Nobody is saying that anything matters more than anything else, its just an example of how things could have been different. And shows that from a Lynn perspective we weren't a million miles away. All ifs, buts and maybes of course. So don't go looking for a disagreement where there isn't one, theres a good lad ๐
