  1. Not sure I'd agree with that, he averaged five and a half which I would say is about right for him in the Prem nowadays. I suspect Morris' availability had more to do with it.
  2. The contract already signed could be for his French club!
  3. Congrats to Poole, especially as they won a superheat away from home to seal the deal, no mean feat. Well done to Glasgow for finishing top and for providing a great track for a wonderful night of speedway.
  4. The only place that is being said is in your head. All folk want are tracks where those who don't get to the first bend in front have a fighting chance of winning the race. It really shouldn't be difficult. Tracks which don't allow this are doing huge damage to British speedway as a whole.
  5. Maybe its an anti crap speedway rhetoric. In my expereince that happens on here whatever the track if a meeting has been broadcast and its not good. Which is completely different to charging more than you usually would for the other dozen or so meetungd if the season. Bit of a kick in the teeth IMO.
  6. I suspect he means that he is championship standard and would be doing very well in it if he was old enough. No problem with Mulford riding, it can be difficult to get riders to commit and stay committed to these meetings. As for the racing, the range of abilities was quite big and its a circuit that many of the riders wont have ridden or don't very often. The important thing is the track time, the learning and the improvement the riders will show across the night and going into their subsequent meetings.
  7. There's a middle ground though. Give the riders who want to entertain and race something to work with without making it 'easy' for them. Poole are a very good team and dont need to completely doctor a track to win, and I wouldn't put it past them winning the second leg too on a track which will most likely provide plenty of lines and passing.
  8. I expect plenty will congratulate Poole on winning the title. If the racing is good the track will get praise, if there are a couple passes all night it will get criticised.

  10. I'm all for a bit of home advantage but do we really want to be preparing tracks which make overtaking virtually impossible? That's a very slippery slope. And a real shame for a showpiece meeting.
  11. Glasgow will need a large slice of luck or the meeting of their careers. Poole are experts at getting the job done and I think they probably will, twelve points is a big deficit.
  12. Its never sat well with me, taking the mickey out of people who have supported you all season.
  13. I'd have thought the track is plenty wide enough after all the widening over the last 15 years or so?
  14. Got a nasty feeling this could be over and done with bar the shouting come 10pm.
  15. Not when you can name somebody in your top five and not give them a ride.
  16. Hopefully the Championship gets its act together next year if it still exists as a second division, the fixtures have been a shambles for more than one season now. Redcar going through reminds me of England winning the cricket World Cup in 2019 by virtue of more boundaries.
  17. I believe his 15th birthday is on the day of this meeting and he has only been on 250's this year in the BYC.
  18. Decent line up. As well as Coops Ingram, Etherington, Loftus and Norman are all fine prospects.
