Fair enough if you don't rate him but many do and he'd soon ride Poole well if he was there every week and was privy to the right set ups and lines as a home rider. I just think talented young riders usually flourish under the Poole set up and he'd do the same.

Pretty clear that the idea is to emulate P'boro class of 2021, they tried last year but it didn't work. The plan is to have six riders averaging around seven and a FTR who chips in, if that's the case there won't be too many big hitters above say Klindt and Pickering....you are probably looking at Doyle and Bewley, possibly Fricke, Holder, Kurtz, Harris, Museilak & Masters although they can all be hit and miss. The key is that the top six has to be rock solid and the senior reserve must hit double figures. Don't forget MPT was at 1 for P'boro when they won the title. Our league isn't littered with massive names, there's certainly nothing frightening out there IMO. Having Jakobsen at reserve should be more scary for other sides. One thing which MUST happen is winning at home every week, over the last few seasons we've lost far, far too often on home soil.

Why? Good, up and coming British riders, what's not to like? Joe signed up but I reckon Dan would do really well at somewhere like Poole.

Self employed worker in opting for the best wage shocker. In any case the FTR's are chosen by a draft system for 2023.
-
I reckon you should rewrite that post to see if you can bite a bit harder

Good pay which is delivered on time is all they are really bothered about, as well as help with digs/a workshop and transport for those without a set up in the UK already. Trophies are just a bonus, although going deep into competitions obviously means more meetings.
-
He actually won the first reserve race and then ran five lasts including some rides in the main meeting, but I agree he looked handy that day. As others have said handy looking team apart from Shanes.
-
Perhaps I'm misunderstanding you but that is quite disrespectful to those in 2nd-7th. Haven't heard of those from 8th downwards but the top seven are a million miles above amateur level.

He's being ironic.

I'm sure I can remember Schlein riding for Sheffield Prowlers in the CL around 2002?
-
I hope Mildenhall can sort something out because it's a great little venue for a Sunday afternoon out, but they MUST sort the long drawn out meetings and the high number of falls. Folk are obviously voting with their feet, get the product right and they are likely to return.

I think given the choice I'd probably stick with Jason Edwards for Lynn, Jack did well before breaking his wrists but there'll be question marks over his fitness initially and Jason got better and better with each home meeting. Ideally I'd have both in the squad at seven and eight but the other will surely get snapped up whoever we choose (if either of course).
-
Richard Lawson at Lynn being a recent case in point. Good riders learn tracks with regular rides.
-
Why? Just don't have one the second time he packs up, sorted. I'm sure he held the original one in good faith but circumstances and minds change.
-
I think that looks pretty good....Puk and Holder past their best but offset by Basso and Cook being exciting prospects. Would win at home nine times out of ten.

I'm sure this argument pops up every winter on the forum, some want to know the team immediately while others enjoy the anticipation. You can't please everyone. As for prices, I'd like to think they won't stick any more than a pound on, two quid will put folk off and make them pick and choose even more. Or stop them buying food drink and programmes, which I suspect will all go up too. Probably the best way to get people there every week is to provide good racing and a winning team....over to you Mr Brady.
-
It was suggested on the previous page of this thread, I'd heard it elsewhere too. I'd expect it to be announced and take place as soon as Mr Brady returns from Oz. It's always been my preferred way of doing it, certainly better than dragging it out over several weeks like they did a couple of years ago. Buster gets to sell some beer too.
-
Already been said, having an announcement evening at the stadium in December it seems. Those nights have always gone down well.
-
I would say last season was a massive chance not taken. He had a fresh start at two new, good clubs who both win the vast majority of their home meetings and he didn't really kick on with either of them. I actually think he was better as a sixteen year old at Sheffield 2019 for a spell when he looked a fantastic prospect.

Amusing how a Chinese whisper starts and everyone jumps on it.
-
Probably quicker than the Latvians, Finns and Ukranians you've been suggesting.
-
Lynn's team was completed weeks ago apparently.
-
AFIAK he employs somebody to do the tracks at Lynn and Peterborough and just helps out here and there.
-
Who says they didn't think he was worth it, I bet he got approached by several clubs. I think he's good value on anything around those figures as a reserve or second string but fair play to him for just wanting to do the one league plus telly.
