  1. Lots of bleating from the Poole lot that the Thompons were dirty on Kemp but didn't see it myself, was a good, hard race.
  2. Anyway the main reason I came was for the racing and in amongst a few FTG's it was pretty good, Lynn is at its best when it's slick.
  3. Pirates at a canter even though they are a five man side, as expected the Cooks had no problem getting round Lynn. Feel for Leicester, they finished top and haven't had a home leg but the most important thing is that the sport learns from this shambolic season and if it doesn't the clear the hierarchy out and start again.
  4. Can see every club in the Prem going after him.
  5. 30th heat of the tie, not sure I'll be hanging around for too many races of the second meeting!
  6. I'm going tonight despite having only been to a few Lynn meetings this year and as well as all fourteen riders being there with no R/R or guests the fact its 50/50 is a massive draw for me. Its gonna be cold so hopefully the racing will be good and the result goes to the 30th heat!
  7. The Cooks should take to it like ducks to water, Aussies always have.
  8. Seeing as it was dark by ten to five last night I doubt it Maybe a moon delay if its too bright
  9. Forecast is unbroken sunshine and moonlight for today in Nelson's county! As for practice, I'd have thought any team can do it an any time on their own circuit, and that exactly what Leicester are doing today so it's not even an issue really.
  10. And Jamie Smith's dad going after Roger Lobb with a massive spanner.
  11. I think the only people who can possibly answer that are those who have set foot on the Leicester circuit and the AFA, anyone else (ie you, I and the vast majority of forumites) are just guessing. What I would say is that there is no other reason Leicester would logically want it moved other than the fact that they can't stage it.
  12. Why can't Jakobsen (an Extraliga rider after all) get round Owlerton? Weird.
  13. VERY wet in Norfolk today, forecast got worse over night and due to rain til lunch, and then what looks like a sunny dry day tomorrow. Happy to post weather updates in case any of you lot are planning to take on the journey
  14. Because the whole reason we are trying to get the biggest meetings of the season ridden in October and November is the shambolic summer fixture list that he oversaw. Might pop along to this if the weather is ok and I can be bothered, for one last speedway fix. At least all fourteen riders should be there!
  15. If you were a sponsor or whatever you are at my club I would take a very dim view of the stuff you come out with on here.
  16. It should be simple but the people who run British speedway make it seem incredibly complicated. I think they have proved beyond doubt that they are not fit for purpose, unless of course their purpose is to run our sport into the ground as far as they can.
  17. Looking back at the results on and around Bank Holiday weekend there were hardly any championship fixtures anyway, you guys ran the CLRC (was that the original date?) and there were couple of other matches and that was it. So no big crowds anyway. I'd have thought it would be sensible to avoid all this embarrassment for the sport by getting the league decided early when the weather is better and kids are off school etc then leave the last couple of months for cups, trophies and other stuff. We can't have this situation again next year. As well as trying to squeeze the most important meetings of the year into the last few wet days of October we had some sides twiddling their thumbs for over a month waiting for the Play Offs to even happen. Its amateurish and shambolic.
  18. Yep, and pretty sure he criticised that one too. More so if anything.
  19. If three clubs can get theirs done by the first week of August there is no reason why the Pkay Offs can't be completed by the end of the summer holidays. Run the cups and whatever else after that. Could be the same as the cartel ouch goes on about.
  20. Lambert and Bewley could have ridden in the UK instead of for Smederna if they'd wished to.
