Once again Sheffield look the best team on paper at the start of the season.
-
Great news.
-
Absolutely, so offer both. Programmes for those who still buy them and apps and electronic scorecards for others. Everyone's a winner.
-
If all that happens then yes it's failed but its not done yet. I agree that maybe more could be done for Mountain & Hume, perhaps with more thought they could somehow have been guaranteed a number 6 spot somewhere but on the other hand they are 25 and 26, perhaps they aren't the type of riders the scheme should be for.
-
I don't disagree but it certainly hasn't 'failed'. Tom Brennan is evidence of that. Also consider how the likes of Edwards, Jenkins and Flint have improved since taking their first Premiership rides. The new intake of Thompson, Gilkes and Mulford will hopefully do the same. Its giving our youngsters opportunities instead of average non Brits and that has to be good. I also think Hume and Mountain will probably end up with Prem spots anyway once injuries and changes kick in.

Was also said on Monday night that Leicester offered him a good deal and he wanted to cut down on his travelling. -

Why does it have to be a falling out? There is no room for seniment in speedway, if the promotion firmly believe that Allen will score and average more than Mountain then it's as simple as that. -

The idea behind Allen is obviously to get him back to his 2019 & 2021 form where he averaged around five and a half for Ipswich and over seven in the Championship, levels that Mountain hasn't reached and some might argue won't. Allen was poor last season but he COULD stick a point on his starting figure for Leicester if things work out. -
Mulford not Etheridge!

So anybody who doesn't buy a programme isn't a true fan? Give over. Speedway is expensive enough (too expensive) to get into nowadays without buying a programme, plus the cost of fuel makes it even more so, particularly in rural areas. British speedway is terrible at offering good VFM, it's about time that was addressed.
-
By all accounts the racing at Leicester was vastly improved last season but folk seem to base their opinions on the years prior to that.

And the fact that there is no RS scheme in the Championship, and that the jump from NL is too steep anyway. Several two pointers have been signed up for 2023 but one suspects they'll find it incredibly difficult. I'm optimistic about the seven RS's in the Prem though, all have a pretty good 2022 to build on. -
I assumed Falcon was referring to his own reply to you.....
-
Lynn too.
-
Flappy said last week that it was being held up by the purchase of some land for a new circuit....no reason to disbelieve that.
-
Because he doesn't want to do both leagues in 2023.
-
He'll have to learn to get round his home track consistently well first.
-
So £22 to get in, season ticket works out as twenty quid per meeting over 13 matches.
-
Reports suggest that this is his last season before retirement and he wants a final year riding in the UK so unless he injures himself like PK I can't see any reason why he won't start the season. Whether he finishes it is up for debate but time will tell, he starts with a clean slate for me.
-
Spot on, no idea why someone has reacted with a laugh.
-
Difficult to see a team spearheaded by Doyle finishing bottom unless his average drops dramatically which is highly unlikely.
-
You misread/misunderstood, what I said is that Ipswich have Doyle and Wolves have the strongest home advantage. Because of those things they will be difficult to finish above even though their teams look a bit meh. As for taking point off non RS's, I'm pretty sure Jenkins, Edwards and Thomas all did that last season, and given time Thompson, Mulford and particularly Gilkes will too.
-
Yep, I'd be seriously underwhelmed if a Wolves fan. The thing they do have though is a big home advantage and on that basis alone you'd fancy them for top four.
-
Expunging results is and always has been standard practice if a club goes belly up has it not?

I remember seeing 6 something quoted on here somewhere at some point for KK. EDIT arnieg beat me to it by a whisker.
