Six falls in the first four heats..... -
If folk were offered better VFM I'm sure they would. Let's see what they come up with for 2023.

Leicester lions 2023 (PREMIERSHIP)
Bagpuss replied to PhilTheAce's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
It really wasn't. -
It's called the silly season, it happens every year.
-
Woooooosssshhhhhhhh

I can see Pickering, Jorgensen ad possibly Klindt returning. Feel for Lawson, would have him back on a seven but he's not good value on his final figure especially if a few bigger names return to the league for 2023. Can see Worrall at Leicester and if FTR's are retained we're in good shape with Thomas and Edwards. Would have Iversen back if he wants to race here and we be daft not to consider Riss. All depends on the numbers though.

Fair play To be fair it could have been pit bikes, dancing, loading the van, a virus, missed flight, van broke down etc etc......I dont think he was ever coming.
-
Ah so pit bikes not dancing

The issue is that the meeting was advertised with Lambert included when it was known long before tapes up that he wasn't coming, absolutely Lynn at fault. The problem is speedway fans are too nice to kick up a fuss, they are taken for granted because they allow themselves to be. As Haza says it'll all be forgotten by next March. Nothing will change until British Speedway is run by a no nonsense character who won't allow clubs and riders to take the pee, like the Polish authorities who rule with an iron fist. We shouldn't even be riding in October, the league meetings and Play Offs should be done by the end of August with September for cups and individuals. The whole thing is an utter shambles, people are expected to turn up and pay £20 with no effort, transparency or customer care from those running it. Sort it out for 2023 FFS.

I don't disagree but AFAIK there weren't even dates for the pairs and last night's meeting when he signed. He may not even have known those fixtures existed. And I'm pretty sure BV would only have wanted to pay him for the three matches that really mattered anyway. The lack of honesty is shocking though. But sadly not surprising.
-
I suspect three or four others will be back to join him, don't see too many changes.
-
Because as part of the charade he's 'injured'.
-
Which is completely the fault of Lynn and Belle Vue! Nothing to do with the rider, all indications from various social media posts suggest he was only ever going to appear in the Play Offs. You've obviously come onto this thread with an existing dislike for Lambert, which is your right, but you are pointing fingers in the wrong direction here.
-
For all you know he could have agreed to just ride in the three Play Off meetings and nothing else, your ire should really be towards the two clubs who quite clearly knew he wasn't going to be there tonight yet kept quiet.
-
I certainly won't have done. Risky strategy, especially if they raise the admission price and don't sort the 'racing' out.
-
Robbing barstewards. I hope there are some folk who demand their money back.
-
So is Lambert not riding despite there being nothing on either club's official channels?
-
Surely they'd get them down further by riding and scoring badly? Seems tonight's scores won't count anyway. All they are doing is missing out on a pay packet.
-
Can't see what there is to be gained really. Also a lot of bugs around at the moment. But who knows.

Apparently tickets aren't available online and haven't been for a while.
