Three of those highly unlikely to ride over here I'd say and the other will only be at BV if he does. Maybe Ippo is the Prem club Rew has signed for? Difference is plenty of people will buy Malteasers at one or two pounds regardless, speedway doesn't have that luxury. Perhaps they think only the die hards are left and they would pay whatever was charged!

It suited all parties so don't really get the bickering tbh.

Leicester lions 2023 (PREMIERSHIP)
Bagpuss replied to PhilTheAce's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Jason Edwards did last year. -
Yep aware of that, 'old' was part of my turn of phrase rather than meaning 'ageing'
-
I think how much better and professional it makes a speedway meeting/broadcast look outweighs those. Should have been compulsory long before now for all Prem & Champs teams to wear them.

Wolves.

Woooooooosssshhhhhhhhh
-
He obviously missed it and decided he packed in too early, or perhaps his family didn't settle down under. In any event he isn't the first rider and won't be the last to make a post retirement comeback.
-
Hmmmm Jorgensen on a fat old average and two weak looking reserves. And I thought Skidder said Rory was only doing a couple of meetings in Oz, d'oh
-
Seems its Worrall to Leicester, MPT to Lynn and Basso staying at P'boro.
-
And all the excitement hes brought to Glasgow, in return for a rider Glasgow didn't use. Everyone's a winner really.
-
Presumably Prem averages were taken into account too.
-
And no point keeping a rider who wants to be elsewhere. The Basso/Lawson swap is one of them that suited all four parties.
-
You are right but I would say its time for Tom to kick on further, he is good enough to not need RS protection. Publication of the list would be nice.
-
I have no idea but flagrag usually knows his stuff.
-
Nope, flagrag said that Poole were using Holder, Holder & Kurtz while Lawson and Dan T are riding for Leicester.....my deduction was that flagrag would only have mentioned Dan T at all in that context if he had signed for both clubs. May have misunderstood though.
-
Hallelujah! About time.
-
Surely until everything is finalised nothing will be said? And I expect it all takes longer than people think.
-
Quite, but if Lynn had kept their 1-7 from last season then MPT wouldn't be joining! If it was a straight choice between the two then going by their averages I think Lynn have chosen the right one.
-
Which makes it nothing more than a pre season challenge unfortunately. Rew, Dan T and Ablitt completing Poole then presumably.
-
Is he?
-
Not sure on the points but I'd have been happy to keep those two also if possible, although in mitigation I'd say Worrall was a bit disappointing when not at reserve and Lawson's average is a bit too high at 7.71. Very happy to have MPT back but Kasprzak is obviously a massive risk. The key to the team for 2023 is obviously Jakobsen, big things are expected and in theory there should always be a very good reserve, although that was the idea last year. But others will have to improve their averages too. 1-5 needs to be rock solid every week.
-
Always makes a difference when a rider races a track weekly rather than occasionally, Lawson is good enough and experienced enough to adapt to anywhere as a home rider. Essentially Lynn's side looks like MPT & KK for Lawson & Worrall, will need someone to step up and replace Richard's scoring.....Pickering you would think is that man.
-
Good luck to him, he has been excellent for us over the last two seasons, especially 2021 when we were awful and he scored well regardless. Think on 7.71 he would have been a gamble with a few decent riders returning to the UK for 2023 but we may end up regretting his absence, who knows.

Awesome
