  1. That's a home weighted average for you unfortunately. Has to be some way to incentivise clubs to sign him rather than some of the non British second strings that have got places, a young promising Brit shouldn't be starting the season without a second division team spot.
  2. I certainly pick and choose at Lynn nowadays for several reasons and I'll be doing it even more so in 2023 at £22 and a fifty mile round trip. Its an occasional 'treat' nowadays rather than going every week come what may.
  3. Lynn were strongly rumoured to br running an NL side in 2023, disappointing that it didn't come to fruition.
  4. Speedway has never quite been the same for me since that night. An awful experience as a paying customer and a Lynn fan.
  5. I think its as simple as that, he did quite well at Lynn in 2019 but was quickly released in early 2021 after a poor start and wasn't great at Ipswich and then even worse last season at Sheffield. It's a pity but Prem clubs just don't seem to trust him or the baggage he seems to come with. I expect he will get a gig later on the season when injuries and sackings start to kick in.
  6. Complin could be half decent if he has lost some bulk and is on some better kit. His style should suit the Glasgow circuit too.
  7. You guys carry on, this forum would be turgid in the winter months without people who hear things posting it.
  8. Seems like Flappy has got under one or two peoples skin.....believe him or don't believe him, up to you, but don't see the need to have a go at him. Annoyance that he knows stuff others don't would be my guess.
  9. Kasprzak is going to rip the Premiership up, you'll see
  10. Yep I think I'd seen that, what I would say is that there isn't always a direct correlation between what riders like and what entertains the paying customer.
  11. Once again Sheffield look the best team on paper at the start of the season.
  12. Absolutely, so offer both. Programmes for those who still buy them and apps and electronic scorecards for others. Everyone's a winner.
  13. If all that happens then yes it's failed but its not done yet. I agree that maybe more could be done for Mountain & Hume, perhaps with more thought they could somehow have been guaranteed a number 6 spot somewhere but on the other hand they are 25 and 26, perhaps they aren't the type of riders the scheme should be for.
  14. I don't disagree but it certainly hasn't 'failed'. Tom Brennan is evidence of that. Also consider how the likes of Edwards, Jenkins and Flint have improved since taking their first Premiership rides. The new intake of Thompson, Gilkes and Mulford will hopefully do the same. Its giving our youngsters opportunities instead of average non Brits and that has to be good. I also think Hume and Mountain will probably end up with Prem spots anyway once injuries and changes kick in.
  15. Was also said on Monday night that Leicester offered him a good deal and he wanted to cut down on his travelling.
  16. Why does it have to be a falling out? There is no room for seniment in speedway, if the promotion firmly believe that Allen will score and average more than Mountain then it's as simple as that.
  17. The idea behind Allen is obviously to get him back to his 2019 & 2021 form where he averaged around five and a half for Ipswich and over seven in the Championship, levels that Mountain hasn't reached and some might argue won't. Allen was poor last season but he COULD stick a point on his starting figure for Leicester if things work out.
  18. So anybody who doesn't buy a programme isn't a true fan? Give over. Speedway is expensive enough (too expensive) to get into nowadays without buying a programme, plus the cost of fuel makes it even more so, particularly in rural areas. British speedway is terrible at offering good VFM, it's about time that was addressed.
  19. By all accounts the racing at Leicester was vastly improved last season but folk seem to base their opinions on the years prior to that.
  20. And the fact that there is no RS scheme in the Championship, and that the jump from NL is too steep anyway. Several two pointers have been signed up for 2023 but one suspects they'll find it incredibly difficult. I'm optimistic about the seven RS's in the Prem though, all have a pretty good 2022 to build on.
  21. I assumed Falcon was referring to his own reply to you.....
