  1. Can see both sides of this. Would have been great to have Robert here for four play off meetings but @NeilWatson has stated its against the regs and if so then for once the berks who run British Speedway have stuck to the rulebook and resisted special dispensation. Would also suggest that Lambert's annoyance about his flights should be towards BV if they advised him to book them without permission to ride.
  2. Let's see what 2023 brings, I have a feeling things will be very different.
  3. But Brennan has started in the UK, buy if he wants to make it big his next step needs to be progressing in Poland. No coincidence that Lambert and Bewley's development has exploded since they have been riding Extraliga. Whether Tai needs to specifically do Britain again or just another league (Sweden) or maybe both I don't know but I think more racing would help his GP performances although spending time with his family during the week is a pretty good reason not to. The main point though us that mastering Monmore, Armadale or Plymouth won't make Brennan a GP rider.
  4. Very strange. What these Poole fans don't seem to get is that their team is amazingly good on their own track, they always have been. Experienced riders, even those who have ridden for Poole in the past, can be made to look silly there by the home riders. The Cooks have picked up numerous scalps for example. As for Brennan, if he can crack Poland then whether or not he can ride Poole or the small ones is completely irrelevant, its about riding the big ones well nowadays. If he wants to emulate Woffinden, Lambert and Bewley instead of King, Worrall and Lawson then it's all about Wroclaw rather than Wolves!
  5. What like Eastbourne where he started off
  6. If he scores paid ten again tonight I think Belle Vue will be happy. I don't think you realise how good your team are on their own muckheap.
  7. Previewed here http://kingslynn-speedway.com/news.php?extend.31258 and here http://www.sheffield-speedway.com/news.php?extend.3181
  8. Possibly Leicester. You get the feeling there would have to be serious changes to entice anyone up though.
  9. It needs to be eight at least really. Oxford have announced they are staying 2nd division but hopefully a couple of others might step up.........
  10. That's because I believe you have the best team right now. You have a knack of peaking come Play Off time.
  11. Can see this being a bit of a clattering tonight unfortunately, Poole are very good at home right now and Glasgow are missing a couple of key men.....if they can keep it to 10-12 points they'll have done well and it will give them an outside chance on Saturday.
  12. I went to the '92 and '94 World Semi Finals, the former wasn't great due to the wet weather that day and a very heavy track but the latter was excellent, although I might have had rose tinted specs on as a Lynn fan due to Loram winning it and Henka coming third or fourth. Wonderful viewing in a steep bowl too.
  13. Not sure I'd be having Worrall or Jorgensen back on those figures. If they want to be here for the whole season then Klindt, Pickering, Lawson and Jakobsen would be a great start for 2023.
  14. Looks pretty good right up until 9pm Saturday according to the beeb.
  15. Yep understand that but I'd have thought it'd be in their interests to try and sort something out as rain offs must do their heads in as much as all of us. I just can't get my head around there being so few fixtures on across all three leagues in the height of summer and then all the important stuff being crammed in during Sept and Oct when the weather can (and has) change dramatically.
  16. Why not get the Play Offs races before the end of August while kids aren't at school? Then use Sept and Oct for cup/trophy meetings.
