  1. Maybe it's Peterborough's choice to move sone riders on and have a fresh start? Perhaps averages don't fit into the usual jigsaw puzzle? Doesn't have to be money, can't imagine the going rate is very different between Buster's two clubs if at all. I'd have thought a brand new and competitive 1-7 for Panthers might be a good thing for everyone.
  2. One or two rumours around that Lynn will be entering a team into the NL next season? Various Tweets from Alex Brady might back up the theory. Presumably the likes of Jody Scott, Sam Hagon, Elliott Kelly, Ryan Kinsley, and Ashton Boughen might be in the frame for a team place if so. Thoughts?
  3. Can see both sides of the Lawson argument, he has been excellent in his two seasons with us but just under eight is a lot. Klindt has been mentioned but not sure he would start the season here over Sweden. Would welcome MPT if he is fully fit and one could argue that he and Lawson wouldn't be in the same team anyway. Pickering a must but can see most teams wanting him on that average. Don't think Kerr has a future here and Jorgensen's late season showings have probably got him another contract if he didn't have one already. Apparently Basso was coming to Lynn if he was riding Premiership so it's a pity that he's not. Bomber was also a rumour but the Leicester ones seem stronger. Riss is an asset but can see him back at Ipswich. Would have Nicholls on his average if he moved on from P'boro, he and Jakobsen would be a strong reserve pairing. Worrall surely staying at Leicester. Thomas and Edwards were bright spots in the season but it seems FTR's are being scrapped unfortunately. Would have Iversen back but going to be the same issues as last season with Lodz pulling rank. Kildemand probably not an option after last year. Interesting times.
  4. Is it still the case that E Winner league riders in Poland are still restricted to two other leagues then? A bit of a blow to Peterborough but can't blame him for wanting to stick with such a well run club as Glasgow
  5. I said originally we'd get around half a dozen new faces in the Prem as a result of the changes, Dudek and Bewley are rumoured and I could see Iversen, maybe Bjerre and one or two others. It'll be gradual but the more riders we can get over here who don't ride in the Champs the better.
  6. I wouldn't disagree with that, the only thing I would say other than too much doubling up is that we need a better pathway for NDL graduates, the jump is too big at the moment and some kind of reserve scheme needs bringing back. Rumour has it the Prem are ditching the FTR system which is a mistake IMO, there needs to be joined up thinking between the three leagues so young riders can see where they need to go and have a bit of assistance getting there.
  7. Might be worth waiting to see who Premiership teams sign.
  8. I thought I read somewhere that rather than just trying to make the Championship weaker they wanted to reduce doubling up? If that's the case then it's a good thing IMO, originally it was introduced just for British reserves then it got totally out of hand.
  9. And not so vocal when they've done it themselves I don't really have a problem with it, riders are self employed tradesmen only ever under contract for eight months at a time, if they can get themselves sorted for the next year nice and early then good for them.
  10. I have no idea, if he did I completely missed it. I think Worrall's stood out because he got slower as the race went on and was remonstrating with his machine at the pit gate!
  11. Great ride by Cook who was hugely impressive all night, but Worrall suffered a puncture on that last lap, his rear tyre was as flat as a pancake going over the finish line.
  12. But I think I agree with crescent girl, other than the four point result (away win by 7 or more) which is exceptional, all the other scenarios involve three points being won or shared....in effect an away loss by six or less meant pinching a match point off the home team and provided more last heat deciders. As an aside I'd get rid of tacticals for the home team, if you are that far behind on your own circuit then hard luck.
  13. Oxford Lambert & Bewley graduating to world class status BSN Workington's 'new' track Brennan, Flint, Edwards and Jenkins all making strides as FTR's Struggling after that!
  14. Feel exactly the same about him at Lynn, he is on quite a high figure in the Prem but I'd have him back for 2023. Mr Dependable.
  15. That would be utterly ridiculous. It's not complicated, just get the season done earlier.
  16. I'm not sure a practice session can be compared to hundreds or thousands of laps round a teams own track but it is what it is and once Poole got dialled in Leicester came up a long way short. The fact that Poole's top three dropped one point to the opposition after heat three says it all. Even though it was cold it was an enjoyable night's racing and good to catch up with a few people before the winter. Wish the track could be like that more often, just too grippy in the summer months.
  17. I expect you are right and I wouldn't be surprised if Lynn have their team sorted anyway.
  18. Lots of bleating from the Poole lot that the Thompons were dirty on Kemp but didn't see it myself, was a good, hard race.
  19. Anyway the main reason I came was for the racing and in amongst a few FTG's it was pretty good, Lynn is at its best when it's slick.
  20. Pirates at a canter even though they are a five man side, as expected the Cooks had no problem getting round Lynn. Feel for Leicester, they finished top and haven't had a home leg but the most important thing is that the sport learns from this shambolic season and if it doesn't the clear the hierarchy out and start again.
  21. Can see every club in the Prem going after him.
