  1. While I don't disagree that it's an early call off the Met Office app suggests general rain rather than just light showers. I think you are probably right though, they are petrified of a small crowd which tv and rain would almost guarantee. Although it's another school holiday date wasted.
  2. That was the crux of it for me - the top six were a cut above the rest and while it was possible to win off the middle gates against the rest of the field, Lambert or Holder doing it in heat 19 against Jensen and Bewley was a very long shot. Luck of the draw. Of course his only other dropped points were off gate three.....when in that race were Nilsson and Fricke off 1 and 4!
  3. From Lynn website KING’S Lynn have taken an early decision to postpone Monday’s scheduled Premiership fixture with Belle Vue.This is due to the forecast weather conditions for Monday evening, with all sources indicating heavy rain moving through the area in the late afternoon and early evening. We have therefore made an early call in order to minimise inconvenience for all parties.A new date will be advised when agreed.
  4. TV for me, won't attend a meeting I can watch at home until they reduce the price on the night, its a no brainer with petrol prices as they are. Prediction: Track to be heavy, racing crap and BV to win by 2-6 points.
  5. It can't always be gates but it certainly contributed last night, had he been on 1 or 4 in heat 19 then he almost certainly would have ended up on 12 or 13 points and somebody else wouldnt, the margins can be that fine at the top level and he was unfortunate last night, but that's speedway. There is definitely something different with him between Extraliga and GP's though, just seems more relaxed and free flowing in league racing. Too uptight and not relaxed in the GP's unlike Bewley who looks like he doesn't have a care in the world and is reaping the benefits.
  6. Preview http://kingslynn-speedway.com/news.php?extend.31237 Met has rain or showers from 1pm til 8pm.
  7. Hopefully it will spur him on. I was thinking something similar, perhaps a break from the GP's might do him good. There's a disparity between his league form and GP results, he's eighth in the Extraliga averages and some way above Bewley and Woffy but struggles in the GP's for some reason, maybe belief? Hopefully he can do the business across the last four rounds but if not maybe a re-evaluation of his approach might be needed.
  8. I think Holder just showed that there is very little wrong with the track.
  9. I'm struggling to work out what's wrong with the track if anything, it's nice and wide, plenty of room entering and exiting the bends and it's smooth with just enough dirt on it. The crashes have all appeared to be rider error to me.
  10. He should win heat 13 but heat 19 looks very tough. Pity the gates aren't a bit more even.
  11. I'm not bothered as I literally watch the races and take no notice of the in between bits but the presentation lacks an awful lot of polish. Looks rather amateur.
  12. I can remember when and why it was changed and it was a load of guff IMO, removed the jeopardy of the away side 'stealing' a point from the home team if they got within 6 points of them.
  13. You are right but this must have been thought about and agreed in the first place!

  15. Personally I think the scoring system is one of the few things our governing body has got right in recent years, I really like it although they spoiled it slightly by giving home teams three points for any win. I can see the appeal of the BP system but think the 3-2-1-0-1-2-3-4 is (was) better.
  16. I think we can safely say its not Alex Brady that Lewis Kerr had a problem with as they were pictured together over the weekend at Oxford/Cardiff.
  17. I liked the idea of a one off 'Cup Final' at a neutral venue personally. More concerning though is that they can make a decision in the winter then change their minds in the summer as some see fit. Not really befitting of a professional sport.
  18. If Drew Kemp does a Jason Doyle I'll be absolutely delighted......just don't see it though.
  19. You are right, but unfortunately I just don't think he's very good, which is a shame as at 16 he looked like he might be something special.
