Belle Vue v Ipswich Play off semi 2nd leg 3 Oct
Bagpuss replied to Rob B's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Don't think it'll make too much difference tomorrow with the lead they have but they'll need him for the final. -
Nicol was the obvious error, and Cooks stock has dropped. But the big blows were the losses of Ostergaard and Hume. Not saying that they'd have beaten Poole with those two fit but they'd have stood a much better chance. Luck with injuries and momentum are massive going into Play Offs, Poole have both and Glasgow neither.

He's not going to want weekend racing over here if hes riding in Poland is he? Anyway I suspect there will be far more than just five riders difference next year.

Well done to Lambert and Bewley for finishing the six, fantastic stuff. It's got to the stage where we are disappointed if they don't reach the semis, they have both developed fantastically well this year. As for next year I don't see any surprises in the picks, the two Russians for Doyle and Michelsen if they are allowed back in but I doubt it myself and I think Nilsson for PP will probably be it.

I wouldn't bother going on Tuesday

I think Kemp's performances are measured against the yardstick of his first season at Sheffield when he was sixteen, unfortunately he hasn't hit those heights since despite joining two clubs this year who are strong at home and where you thought he might flourish. Riders develop at different rates of course but he just doesn't look like he is going to fulfill his potential unfortunately which is a great pity.

That's shocking if so.

Can see both sides of this. Would have been great to have Robert here for four play off meetings but @NeilWatson has stated its against the regs and if so then for once the berks who run British Speedway have stuck to the rulebook and resisted special dispensation. Would also suggest that Lambert's annoyance about his flights should be towards BV if they advised him to book them without permission to ride.

But Brennan has started in the UK, buy if he wants to make it big his next step needs to be progressing in Poland. No coincidence that Lambert and Bewley's development has exploded since they have been riding Extraliga. Whether Tai needs to specifically do Britain again or just another league (Sweden) or maybe both I don't know but I think more racing would help his GP performances although spending time with his family during the week is a pretty good reason not to. The main point though us that mastering Monmore, Armadale or Plymouth won't make Brennan a GP rider.

Very strange. What these Poole fans don't seem to get is that their team is amazingly good on their own track, they always have been. Experienced riders, even those who have ridden for Poole in the past, can be made to look silly there by the home riders. The Cooks have picked up numerous scalps for example. As for Brennan, if he can crack Poland then whether or not he can ride Poole or the small ones is completely irrelevant, its about riding the big ones well nowadays. If he wants to emulate Woffinden, Lambert and Bewley instead of King, Worrall and Lawson then it's all about Wroclaw rather than Wolves!

What like Eastbourne where he started off

Poole Vs Glasgow 28/09/22 play off SF 1st leg

Predictably this is going to be a cricket score. -
Possibly Leicester. You get the feeling there would have to be serious changes to entice anyone up though.
