Trouble is all the young talent gets hoovered up by Poland nowadays and I'd suggest both them and their Polish clubs are reluctant for them to be flying in and out of the UK and risking injury on our more technical tracks.
Those riders you mention are obviously well past their best but will increase the quality of our league a bit and hopefully cut out some of the (out of hand) doubling up.
The point is speedway is struggling to get people through the door for many reasons, putting the price up ought to be the last thing they do. I appreciate costs are rising for clubs but just sticking the price up and hope people keep coming is poor. About time they thought out of the box, or better still explore all the space inside the box they haven't yet bothered to use!
Three of those highly unlikely to ride over here I'd say and the other will only be at BV if he does. Maybe Ippo is the Prem club Rew has signed for?
Difference is plenty of people will buy Malteasers at one or two pounds regardless, speedway doesn't have that luxury. Perhaps they think only the die hards are left and they would pay whatever was charged!
I think how much better and professional it makes a speedway meeting/broadcast look outweighs those. Should have been compulsory long before now for all Prem & Champs teams to wear them.
He obviously missed it and decided he packed in too early, or perhaps his family didn't settle down under. In any event he isn't the first rider and won't be the last to make a post retirement comeback.
