  1. It must be great to be skidder and live a perfect life never getting anything wrong. One presumes his occupation is professional nit picker.
  2. He's the master winder upper and you've just wandered straight into his trap....I'd suggest you stick him on ignore if you can't resist biting.
  3. Skidder either sh!t stirring or forgot to put his glasses on this morning.
  4. They and Scunny are all great tracks but the NSS is the best we have IMO, the dimensions are pretty much perfect and there are so many lines and so much room. Can't wait for the rumoured GP next year.
  5. The authorities oversee they sport, they produce the original fixture list. They need to ensure matches are ridden when the weather is at its best and kids are off school and that we go into the Play Offs without massive gaps preceding them. IMHO.
  6. Not the same as having regular meetings on your own muckheap though. I think Poole would probably have won anyway with everyone at full strength and having ridden regularly going into the Play Offs but it's not ideal for Leicester and Glasgow, fixtures need to be planned much better. Too many teams across all leagues have hardly ridden in August which is surely when you want to be having meetings!
  7. You say 'only' those two but they are key men in what's been a solid team so far. However I think their inactivity is going to be the issue, if we are going to have Play Offs then the authorities need to make sure everyone is up to speed going into them.
  8. Glasgow haven't raced at home since August 5th and have injuries, I think we all know how this will go. The lopsided fixture list has made a bit of a mockery of British speedway this year and needs sorting badly (amongst many other things)for 2023.
  9. Other than the races that Bewley was in I really enjoyed that, some proper close racing with no quarter asked or given. Can't wait to see a GP round there, what a track it is. Well done to Bewley but he was head and shoulders above the rest and bar conking out in the final it was never in doubt. Massive congrats to Brennan too who is a wonderful prospect.
  10. Leicester hadn't ridden at home since August 6th I see, that score smacks of rustiness although Poole are built to always keep the scores close away from home. Glasgow in a very similar boat for the Play Offs, puts teams at a massive disadvantage for key meetings.
  11. IMO it makes sense because of the reasons Fishersgate stated. Sure Leicester have a couple of riders at Sheffield but Cook and Nicol have ridden for them reasonably recently as have King and Kemp. I get the neutral / non neutral argument but I just think it's a pity as it could have been something different and have had a special occasion feel about it, a little like the fours. And I understand each team wanting to have a home leg.
  12. Completely agree. Can understand each club wanting a healthy attendance at their track but it's an opportunity missed, especially as it was agreed on in the winter.
  13. Hmmm I'm not sure riders look much further ahead than the next season really, if the finances and logistics work for them then they will take the deal. Can see a few riders swapping between the AFA and the EoES, probably not a bad thing to freshen some up a bit. There's a large pool of riders that both teams have used and assuming the Polish rules are relaxed and the wealthier clubs don't come sniffing you can certainly see the likes of Iversen, Lawson, Bjerre, possibly Klindt lining up for P'boro. Jenkins looks worth persevering with. The Harris, Basso and MPT rumour has been mentioned and I'd take that with a pinch of salt but I'd have Nicholls at Lynn on that average without thinking twice.
  14. Presumably they have issues at P'boro because it's essentially a big circle and they are constantly on the edge of the tyre?
  15. I don't go very often any more but I'd gladly watch my speedway at the EoES, love the place, always have. Just need to get that outside line working better.
  16. He was slower than anyone else tonight but gated and rode the kerb, those who went wide went backwards.
  17. Have to agree that the racing wasn't the best tonight, there were races where the riders were closely bunched together but there just wasn't anything out wide, anyone trying to get some drive to go round their opponent went backwards. Odd that the track was hardly graded tonight when most of the time folk moan about the tractor racing, thought it was crying out for a spiking and some water but there you go. Decent meeting in terms of the scores throughout though and great news about 2023. Also pleasing to see how Jenkins has progressed this year and his last couple of scores might make one or two eat their words.
  18. I think the Wednesday race night, the central locaction and what is now a good track again appeals to riders. Ultimately it will come down to the pounds, shillings and pence but good to hear that riders want to be there. Hopefully the public will respond to good promotion.
  19. That was a fudge as neither should have been able to guest, can't remember exactly why but it was special dispensation for both teams from memory.
