Excellent stuff. Speedway is full of conflicts of interest anyway (Campbell compiling the fixtures anyone?) but to have a sponsor and one who will spread the word is great news.

But you are talking about a stronger league twelve years ago. I'd say a better barometer would be his Polish Extraliga averages from the last couple of seasons.

If Ipswich sign him and do a 1998 again it would grate a bit of course but at the end if the day there's a bigger picture, he'll put bums on seats and make the league stronger, I'd much rather see that personally. I can remember him coming to Lynn with Coventry in 2011, the place was packed to the rafters.
