  1. Yep I get and respect that but there also comes a point where you have to step out of your comfort zone and push yourself to see how good you can be.
  2. So is the 'three league' thing no more, are we going to see one big division or has Bickley ruled himself out of a Premiership spot? Find it a bit odd he's signed up for another season in the NDL.
  3. Looks smoother than Wimborne Road.
  4. One assumes he will base himself in Poland now in which case there are umpteen reasons to race in Sweden and not the UK. Its a shame but more a reflection of the state of things over here than anything else, and it will continue to happen unless the BSPL seriously pulls its socks up.
  5. I believe you can still buy the stream on EMTV if you're within the radius by contacting the promotion directly and explaining your circumstances.
  6. All clubs need to be doing it really although I like the way Edinburgh organise theirs, you have to live outside a certain radius to be able to purchase their stream so as not to put off local regulars from going. Lynn are slightly different too in that bar and food outlet sales are a big part of the income so I'd imagine anything that might compromise that would have to be carefully considered. It might also put off away supporters but in general its a good thing and could save the sport if done properly.
  7. Do you think he would have done that if he didn't have a British wife and live over here?
  8. Glasgow need to hit Poole really hard in the first leg to have a chance but I just cant see it with the Pirate's heat leaders and star reserve.
  9. Makes quite a difference if you've got the resources to go with a heavyweight top three and bring a top young talent like Basso over. Poole will do the double this week at a canter unless they encounter some very bad luck.
  10. Quite possible to be both critical and a fan, not everybody thinks the sun shines out of their promoter's rear.
  11. From watching the stream myself there seemed to be very little information from the commentators about the delays unless I'm mistaken and missed it, I only learned that Miskowiak and a member of the crowd were seen to from reading this thread after the fact as at the time I too wondered why more urgency wasn't shown to get on with rain forecast at 9pm. A pity it couldn't t have gone the distance but perfectly understandable too.
  12. Kemp Rowe Pailin Brennan Hume Mountain Gilkes Thompson x 2 Edwards Flint Bickley Bailey Bowtell Thomas Kinsley Jenkins Off the top of my head. Debatable how many of those would be up to the job, might have to draft in some slightly older ones like Shanes or Clegg initially but that might defeat the object a bit. To be honest I'd like to see all British reserves for both leagues but not to the detriment of team strengths.
  13. Assuming nothing untoward occurs I think Poole will comfortably do the double.
  14. Yes mate think our team that year was Puk, Berry, Schlein, Lambert, Porsing, Kerr & Rose. Yet another season we topped the league but lost the Play Offs due to injuries. EDIT apologies that team was 2014, I think it was the same in 2015 apart from Ash Morris for Rose and we nowhere near topped the league
  15. Here be the one I can remember! https://speedwayupdates.proboards.com/thread/14298/world-speedway-league-final-gorzow
  16. It was held somewhere in Poland, 2015 maybe? Lynn were in it as Poole declined from memory.
  17. The gap between the two promotions in terms of professionalism is a chasm.
  18. Absolutely but if its an official press release for a professional sports team/club it shouldn't contain opinions unless it's quotes from a club official, just doesn't come across well.
  19. The whole situation is a result of weak governance, nothing will change until that is sorted.
  20. Not sure it was worth fifteen quid but it was reasonably enjoyable without being edge-of-the-seat stuff. The Poles looked ill at ease for the first few heats but improved as the night went on and probably would have won if the meeting had gone the distance. That said it was encouraging from GB who I thought would struggle but could have been further ahead but for various first bend misfortune. Best wishes to the injured riders particularly Adam Ellis.
