  1. Assuming Proctor, Jorgensen and Kerr return to join Bridger and Cook how many points does that leave for the other member of the top six?
  2. The words AS PART OF THE SCHEME were the giveaway
  3. Don’t disagree with that but we need to start somewhere.
  4. It must be down to 2019 averages in the CL.
  5. That’s fair enough and I’d have extended the scheme so that riders like him, Shanes, Mountain and Bates could ride at six with an U21 at seven.
  6. I accept there is an argument that there are riders in the list who would struggle in the Premiership but personally I would rather the spots were for under 21’s who might find it tough initially but could improve quickly if given the chance. We pretty much know that the older riders on the list won’t reach international standard but we don’t know that of the younger ones and this idea might push them on along with experience abroad. The Poles employ two juniors at the bottom end of their teams and while some sink many swim and become good enough to mix it with the best, we need to be doing the same because what we have been doing for many years hasn’t worked.
  7. Teams would be daft to not snap up the grade 4’s but I really hope Lynn plump for somebody much younger and less experienced at number seven. It’s pretty gutting that Shanes, Bates, Bacon et al are even on the list as I really thought British Speedway had made a proper good decision for once. A real let down.
  8. Riders in there who really shouldn’t be as they’ve been knocking around for years, plus some missing who should be and some questionable gradings. The idea was good but it looks to be a bit of a dog’s breakfast unfortunately.
  9. Bacon and Bates? IMO the scheme should be concentrating on our U21 riders, with all due respect to those two they are never going to be anywhere near international standard.
  10. I’d quit while you’re behind if I were you, flagrag actually knows what he/she is talking about.
  11. Do we know who the other four are to go with Kemp and Brennan?
  12. Not a lot between them at the moment from what I’ve seen and of course Rowe appears not to be a rising star pick. It’s a reserve pairing at Ippo which is going to be the envy of many.
  13. Was a mistake.....should have said Riss rather than Cook.
  14. Monmore is about twice the width of Arlington Many who attend Eastbourne regularly enjoy their speedway and I respect that but it’s without doubt the worst racetrack I’ve been to, far too narrow and tight.
  15. Lynn in 1997 the same.....joined the EL at the eleventh hour and ended up having a really good season (Wigg, Parker, Brhel, Topinka, Hurry, Ermolenko, Tacey)
  16. With respect I do t think any rider who signed up for 2020 can have too much complaint if they are not required in 2021 with all that has happened in between.
  17. As has been said only Morris himself can possibly know if that was accidental or he intentionally nailed him, looks from the video like a racing incident and no doubt the consequences for McAllan sharpened people’s feelings who were there. If he gets up and walks away feelings would run nowhere near as high.
  18. I think we will see more doubling up this year rather than less as the pool of riders who can / wish to ride in the UK is going to be smaller and getting in and out of the country is likely to be challenging for a while yet.
  19. Will be interesting to see what the track is like this season, we were told it was to be much slicker this time last year so one assumes that might be the case again, which will automatically improve the action.
  20. I would like to think that Bridger has many less issues than Lee did.
  21. I don’t think ‘excited’ is the right word but I’m more intrigued about this signing than any other Lynn are likely to make as it could go one of two ways, the rest of the top six are riders who have been here and who we know all about.
  22. I think you need to get used to that, not going to be an awful lot between the leagues in terms of team strengths this year. Gonna be an awful lot of doubling up too.
