Short and tall, rotund and thin.

Somewhere in the middle. Great number one and senior reserve, two promising youngsters but a middle order with plenty to prove.
-
The negative stuff is disproportionate to the rosy garden stuff I'm afraid.
-
All positive stuff wouldn't be balanced would it
-
Not really, just that we've heard the same negative stuff a trillion times since November and good things are largely being ignored. Some of us just want a bit of balance.
-
Thank you. One can only assume then that nobody at the forum was dissatisfied last year or was brave enough to speak up.
-
So the floor wasn't opened to questions from the audience? I'd have thought a once a year gathering of supporters world be an ideal opportunity to find out what people think and reassure those who had criticisms of the previous season that things would be put right.
-
This could be the year when Erik really flourishes, any spell at number one could be the making of him. Quite disappointed that my team didn't go for him to be honest.

You really do take it to heart when people don't rate your precious Comets don't you? -
I agree, he has plenty to put right this year and isn't great at receiving criticism, constructive or otherwise, but I don't see the value in people making their point on here several times over without telling the people who run the club how they feel. Perhaps Mr Brundle might be better at taking feedback on board. Like you I don't believe Buster will sacrifice bar takings for a slick and quick meeting duration but something a bit swifter is a must. The most important thing is better racing and some luck with the weather as many people just won't take the risk any more if it might rain.

Did anybody raise the points discussed on here at the fans forum out of interest?
-
I think generally it's a good thing that these two riders look like they'll be able to ride in the second division after all, as it makes the league more competitive and gives two Brits more racing. However to stop a team (Lakeside) from signing them back in November and then effectively putting them back on the market three months later is really poor. Why can't speedway get its house in order as soon as the season finishes so everybody knows exactly where they stand? It always seemed daft to exclude Nicholls and Kennett from doubling up while still allowing Morris, Harris, Cook etc to do so if they wish. Once again something not thought through at all.

Unless Rye rode at Swindon on a Thursday when P'boro had an away match at Sheffield, Redcar or Ipswich.

Hopefully he'll spontaneously combust.

How will Martin Vaculik fare in the U.K.?

Might find it tough initially with all the tracks being new to him but should improve as the season progresses and then really flourish next year if he comes back. -

This guff stopped being funny a long time ago. -

I wasn't saying that you are one if the whingers, merely following on your point with one of my own. There is a difference between constructive criticism and moaning, and over this winter it's been easy to pick the moaning out as the same points have been made several times over three months. There is positive stuff going on at the club yet people would rather make the same negative points ad nauseum. Would be interesting to know if anybody has approached the club directly concerning the VFM issue.
-
There is but people keep going on and on and on about the whole VFM thing, we've had three months of it. The promotion can't put anything right until the season starts and meetings take place, so how about a bit of positivity until then? This thread has had far too much negativity on it. And just to say I am not somebody who can't see any wrong in what the club does, if the racing is crap and meetings drag on until 10pm I won't be going much either. But the constant whinging is wearing a little thin.

Don't disagree however I'd say that Kerr is a very good reserve and we will have one of those all year whoever drops down to there. The weakness is the middle order.

Rider safety comes above all else and if that means sun delays then so be it, what the club can do is make sure that the rest of the evening flows as efficiently as possible and provide something to keep people entertained in the meantime. Anyway this morning's news is something positive and while only being part of the puzzle called success it's a step in the right direction. That's what the focus should be on today, we've had three months of negativity on here already.

All valid points and I'm sure Belle Vue have their fair share of shaftings in the past but to say that officialdom will ensure that you never win the play offs is a little far fetched.

I've read some paranoia on here but that takes the biscuit.
