I'd rather scoop my eyes out with a rusty spoon than suffer him.

Workington v Edinburgh CS 14/04/18 7:00pm

I'd have thought it's common sense to allow a guest when the situation is out of the rider and club's control. Not sure teams riding under protest does the sport any good to be honest. -
Poole v Swindon SGB Prem A. 18th April 2018

Reckon this could be reasonably close, Swindon to perhaps nick a point. Poole to win though, as they should every home meeting on paper. -

I'd suggest current form is a better indicator, and he has been awesome at the NSS this season, whereas as good as Tungate can be round there he hasn't got going yet. No doubt whatsoever Worrall will be a big miss as he was the other night. -

I don't think Worrall will be adequately covered by R/R, although I concede that Etheridge probably won't be missed too much. -

I'm a King's Lynn fan! And given the choice I'd love to see the Aces stuff Poole, but with Worrall out, Etheridge carrying an injury and Cook's head probably elsewhere I can't see anything other than Poole winning by 8-10 points. Would love to be wrong though. -

Comfortable away win. -
Over the years you learn to take the majority of UKM's rantings with a pinch of salt .

King's Lynn v Belle Vue 18/04/18

With the weather improving from tomorrow you can imagine there being a practice session or two between Monday morning and Wednesday evening. -

Much depends on who replaces Worrall but this is a tough start for Lynn. There are going to be no easy home matches this year but we should be able to win more than we lose. Early indications are that the weather will be good, hallelujah. -
Nor me, was just contributing to the discussion really

I think the decision made on Wednesday has been justified by the VFM received by customers at the three Prem matches which did go ahead this week.

To be fair guys I think we have it all wrong.......on reflection if it was the other way round with Poole losing by ten at Belle Vue and say Kurtz and Josh G were missing with their guest replacements only scoring five between them, I'm sure Mr Shovlar would be consistent and say that 'Belle Vue would have won anyway' and ' if my auntie had balls' etc. I'm sure he wouldn't make a peep bemoaning absences or poor guests.

We all know though that Cook & Worrall would have comfortably bettered what Batch & Lawson scored. Don't think it really matters from a Poole point of view in the grand scheme of things, they will get better and better as the season progresses as will the WR racing as the track and weather settles down. What a boost it would have been for Belle Vue to get an away win at the favourites though had they had a full side.

RAF Marham do the work for him I believe.

Are you only reading the bits you want to? The whole of Norfolk has been drenched and its not drying out yet despite the lack of rain since Monday, and the track almost certainly can't be sorted to produce proper speedway racing. And after last season they want to get the first meeting right. Pretty straightforward and nothing to do with Real Madrid or Bayern Munich.

There is absolutely no dry in Norfolk today, nor was there yesterday. It is musty and murky, no wind to speak of and certainly no sunshine. Maybe he could have got the track sorted, maybe he couldn't but it seems after some bad experiences for supporters last year he doesn't want people wading through mud and puddles in the car park or to risk a rain off or poor conditions for racing for the first impression of this season. Being an outdoor worker I'm personally not convinced he could get the track sorted, everywhere is saturated meaning the drainage at the track must be overflowing and it is one thing relaying a circuit in the summer months compared to a wet and chilly April. A bad customer experience tonight after the farce of 2017 could do the club serious damage.
