  1. No interval specified in the provisional schedule semmers http://kingslynnstars.co/news.php?extend.30586.1
  2. The problem hasn't been starting at 19:45, it's been the dragging on of meetings. Should all be done and dusted in 90-100 minutes.
  3. Looks like it's going to be 17 degrees for tapes up tomorrow evening, must be a record temperature for the first match of the season at Lynn I think this will be 46-44 either way, and hoping for some better racing and an earlier finish for the benefit of everybody. Big opportunity for the club to make a good first impression of 2018.
  4. Unfortunately there seem to be more trolls and wind up merchants on the forum nowadays than genuine posters.....combine that with too many people who can't resist biting at the utter garbage that is posted and its a pretty bad combination.
  5. Don't disagree but sooner or later people have to stop raking over old ground, wipe the slate clean and allow the club to make amends though. I was trying to lighten the mood a bit really as it was all becoming a bit depressing. Hopefully this time on Thursday the comments will all be upbeat because at the end of the day we all want the club to succeed and to be a positive place to go don't we?
  6. The King's Lynn thread, aka the 'pit of misery' Dilly dilly!
  7. A good score for Lambert guessing at number one for Leicester tonight. He's also had a couple of double figure returns in Poland so an encouraging start to the season. Must be getting out of the gate more efficiently and regularly. May be this will be his breakthrough season?
  8. That's a pretty good point burgled by the Pirates in the end, but they have to be disappointed not to have pushed Belle Vue a little closer. As for Kurtz, he is still only young but perhaps he isn't quite as good as the hype.
  9. This is what annoys me about Poland. Riders can ride where they like to make a living, do they get the hump with Sweden if 'their' riders get injured in that league? Injuries are part and parcel of speedway unfortunately.
  10. If Worky's line up was illegal it would be utterly ridiculous as the missing piece of paperwork is down to the relevant authorities and no fault of rider or club. What good would it do speedway to have Proctor replaced by an NL rider? IF the rule is there it has to be enforced but in this case the law would be a complete ass.
  11. I think your reserves were a big part of the problem tonight.
  12. Ah fair enough. Have seen a few numbers two's have just a single ride and assumed they did.
  13. But he has to have a ride does he not? He's unlikely to score a point mid meeting when others have had a couple of rides, seems like a waste. Surely more chance of popping out and getting something in the opening race?
  14. Seems utterly bizarre to give your number two his first outing half way through the meeting, why not get it out of the way in heat one?
  15. I'd rather scoop my eyes out with a rusty spoon than suffer him.
  16. I'd have thought it's common sense to allow a guest when the situation is out of the rider and club's control. Not sure teams riding under protest does the sport any good to be honest.
  17. Reckon this could be reasonably close, Swindon to perhaps nick a point. Poole to win though, as they should every home meeting on paper.
  18. I'd suggest current form is a better indicator, and he has been awesome at the NSS this season, whereas as good as Tungate can be round there he hasn't got going yet. No doubt whatsoever Worrall will be a big miss as he was the other night.
  19. I don't think Worrall will be adequately covered by R/R, although I concede that Etheridge probably won't be missed too much.
  20. I'm a King's Lynn fan! And given the choice I'd love to see the Aces stuff Poole, but with Worrall out, Etheridge carrying an injury and Cook's head probably elsewhere I can't see anything other than Poole winning by 8-10 points. Would love to be wrong though.
  21. Over the years you learn to take the majority of UKM's rantings with a pinch of salt .
  22. With the weather improving from tomorrow you can imagine there being a practice session or two between Monday morning and Wednesday evening.
