Talking more about Starmans treatment of Burntfaceman on here.
-
Common sense prevails, should never have been a five in the first place.
-
Bewley has to be one of the first names on the teamsheet. Ditching Auty from that team and replacing with a 5 ish pointer would be a far better bet.
-
That's the risk with Holder or any Poole stalwart.
-
So anyone who doesn't toe the Lord Ford party line is an idiot?
-
I've said this several times before. As good a promoter as Ford is (putting all the stunt pulling to one side for a moment) he promotes in an ideal area of the country, the wealth and tourism in the area make it hard to fail to get people through the door.
-
Last year's price perhaps?
-
Why should he be a two pointer?
-
Pride (arrogance) comes before a fall and Poole fans tend to have it in spades. And how the rest of us will laugh if it goes pear shaped once again.
-
I don't think a rider not being paid can be blamed for not giving his all.
-
The old track was too narrow. Bit of a mystery why the new shape hasn't provided decent racing, I have been once since the change which was an EL meeting in 2010 and it was pretty good. Perhaps the change of league has had something to do with it.
-
He came back from a year out so having been everywhere last year you'd have thought he will be better away next season. In any case that team should be dynamite at home.
-
You'd have thought that Cook, Worrall x2, Fricke, Jacobs, Bewley & Williamson is highly likely to be the team.
-
To be fair there is a world of difference between Bewley and Shanes whatever their NL averages may suggest.

Championship Teams Comparison Time
Bagpuss replied to balderdash&piffle's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Sheffield and Glasgow stand out. Edinburgh have far more home advantage than anyone else so will be up there whoever else they sign. Ipswich dark horses. -
Have a look at their home results over the past few seasons and see how difficult it is for away riders to score points at the OTA. Somerset ride their own track very well indeed as it's a unique shape and they've retained five riders from last year so they will be hard work at home for anybody.
-
Excellent team.
-
Doesn't look the strongest side on paper but for most they will be a tough nut to crack on their own shale, as they have been in previous PL seasons. Can see some hidings on the road though. Can see Hougaard having a good year.
-
Errr nobody.....think he is referring to the low average which Kurtz 'achieved' at Plymouth.
-
That bottom four has enormous potential and the three heat leaders are proven. Going to be right up there along with Sheffield.

Amusing thread until somebody waded in with personal abuse

2016 Riders Still To Be Announced In 2017 Team
Bagpuss replied to mdmc82's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Jan Graversen has signed for a Premiership team according to Facebook, wonder where he is headed and on what average? 'Soon to be be revealed' apparently. -
I'd really like to see Riss in a Lynn race suit, would be a great signing. No chance on Cook if Belle Vue run and Batchelor must be a shoe in with his links to Mr Warnes.

Does British Speedway Have Future?
Bagpuss replied to Pieman72's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Couldn't agree more. On a different thread one or two people are still bellyaching about Cook and Woffinden's exploits in the Play Off final but we need more of that kind of stuff to get the crowd going rather than falling asleep in their seats / camping chairs. A little bit of controversy does speedway the power of good when it happens as long as nobody gets injured.
