  1. I stayed to watch a couple of the heats and was surprised at how many did the same, seemed quite a few more than usual.
  2. I know, how very dare King's Lynn have priority of their own assets over the club they are loaning them to. Shocking.
  3. Newman will excel as a draft rider as he is vastly experienced compared to many of them......its probably only because he still has a modest PL average that he is in the draft at all.
  4. I think this is going to be a fallow year for the Young Stars after finishing last season with five youngsters in the side.....there are really just three this year with four experienced NL lads who almost certainly won't go any further. Like screamer I probably won't be paying to watch them too often but next year will probably be different again with one or two younger prospects unearthed. I'd like to see Darren Mallett along with six lads who are on the up, with two rookie reserves every year but that isn't always possible. Would be nice to think that out could happen in the future though.
  5. As others have said on this subject on other threads, there has to be middle ground found in a league where teams have different agendas. Scunny are too weak and Cradley too strong, a balance is needed for the good of everyone. Anyway today is all about Sam Chapman so well done to him. No doubt the Heathens have their eye on him for next year.....
  6. Will say the same about Morris as I have about Newman on a Plymouth thread, it's about time he was scoring decent points in the PL if he is ever going to be any good. One would have thought Armadale would be his cup of tea. In contrast great to see Stevie Worrall starting the season so well.
  7. In return for fourteen garunteed points this season no doubt
  8. Thing is at Wolves it's about more than just making the gate, you have to get round the notoriously tricky second bend too. Rose & Bailey are still inexperienced but you'd expect the others to know better.
  9. He's riding for the Stars in the EL on the two days either side of the U21 final so can't be in Germany.
  10. No statement needed once the Heathens had named their side, they look head and shoulders above everyone except perhaps Mildenhall. It's a shame they aren't in the PL as I think they could have a good go at winning that. Tough lesson for the Young Stars, you'd expect far more from the four experienced team members but more importantly it's good experience for Lewis ahead of visiting Wolves on Monday and for young Josh generally.
  11. As I said earlier in the thread he is cutting his nose off to spite his face by not riding in the Under 21 final, seems like an act of stubbornness as it's only for one year. All a bit silly and unnecessary.
  12. Hall is a thug and Auty is a wreckless and dangerous speedway rider. No excuse for kicking somebody while they are down but Auty shouldn't still be taking people out in his 8th senior season.
  13. Could see this result coming tonight, as Plymouth also showed at Rye any team with a top drawer number one and an on fire reserve taking seven rides doesn't need too much from the other five to claim the win.
  14. You just never know what you are going to get from Wolbert, at Lynn a couple of years ago he could look like world champion in one heat and then NL reserve in his next.
  15. Can't see the Rebels defending their title, they look decent but not as strong as last year and I think there are three maybe four better sides around.
  16. How predictable, yet nowhere to be seen in the two away defeat threads this week. I think that'll be the Rebels this year, a mixed bag of results. Aspgren looking quality after many questioned his signing. Grow up.
  17. Spot on. It reads like a tabloid style series of revelations and accusations and doesn't show him in a great light. Hopefully he will keep his gob shut from now on and do his talking on the track as I think there are already people waiting for him to fail and every outburst will add a few more. I think there is probably more going on between the Lamberts and the BSPA than meets the eye but I also think there is a case for allowing fourteen year olds to race 500's if their ability is exceptional. If he wants to represent Germany that is up to him but he'll be cutting his nose off to spite his face by withdrawing from the British U21's and seniors if he gets the opportunity to race.
  18. I would hope the PL always takes priority, he's going to learn far quicker at the higher level.
  19. Dryml's might be if you give him more than two official fixtures to get going. Just like you are giving Proctor. As an aside one or two people have commented on him shutting off in the first turn, that's how he's been since he nearly died on the track at Oxford, he won't change now. But if he can get his bikes and gating sorted he'll score some decent points IMO, particularly at home.
