13th July 2017. The evening that part of me fell out of love with speedway, the track was a little heavy and rough but nothing that twelve of the riders on show couldn't handle. Unfortunately Messrs Batchelor and Holder senior sat in the pits when their races came round, treating the paying customers that night with contempt. The whole situation was handled badly by all parties including the Lynn hierarchy (Chapman, Lyon & Allitt) and Lynn of course lost the meeting. Batchelor and Holder were sacked on the eve of the transfer window closing (a petty move but at the same time my sympathy for the riders was zero) and as far as I know those damaged relationships have never been repaired. Having been there that night and leaving the stadium completely dissillusioned I can understand Buster Chapman not wanting Chris Holder anywhere near a club he is involved in but equally you'd have thought six years later they could have sorted their differences enough to work together. That said I think if P'boro end up with Nicki Pedersen they'll be better off.

Quite evident that the club are making much more of an effort on social media this year, really good to see.

Kemp and Rowe both looked excellent prospects at 16 years old, it's a real shame that for whatever reason they've lost their way. It's not ability on a motorcycle, they just seem to lack elements of what it takes to be the whole package.

If you get so triggered by posts you don't like that you start hurling abuse around I'd suggest the BSF might not be for you.

He was always great value at Lynn. A big track man IIRC.

In terms of natural talent? Because he certainly isn't as a complete package.

Even as a Lynn fan it all looks incredibly dodgy, especially as the initial staging was rained off on a dry warm day.

A rider on the decline who is not a particularly nice personality so no great loss really.

The team suits and matching bikes is one of the few things British speedway does well and gets right. No team in any sport in the 21st century should be wearing kit that doesn't absolutely match.
