CRC now Championship riders Championship, doesn't have a great ring to it though.
-
Well Tai was born in Britain, so he doesn't have to "claim" to be British! If Connor gets a 2.5% reduction, I'll consider him British!
-
I think Exeter are less likely to have win using the current system, though they did win a couple of away matches. But I was more thinking win all your home matches, pick up losing points away, then qualify in the top 6, followed by winning on aggregate! All possible without away wins (but not likely)
-
I'd love to see the 4TT back!
-
It is technically possible to win the league without winning a single away match.
-
But if it's not been announced, how do we know that's accurate?
-
Sounds harsh. Any reason why? They both performed better than Anders Rowe in the Champ.
-
As long as a rider hasn't been announced, that makes him fair game for team predictions imo!

Leicester Lions 2022 Line up

Who would you pick instead of Rowe? It's easy to say don't sign someone, but harder to offer a sensible alternative! -
It is, but it's a pointless exercise. Peterborough could have Hans Andersen & Chris Harris protected in heat 8, but Jordan Palin not protected in heat 9!
-
Given that second strings can ride from numbers 2-5 I'm not sure how number 4 is risky for Ben Cook but number 2 isn't? If a team manager was trying to be "tactical" he could have moved Schlein to number 4 to counter Brennan / Pickering in the finals last season, but no change was made! Likewise when Plymouth put their weakest top 5 rider Bowtell at number 3, Poole (if they raced them) could've countered by putting Cook at 3! However very few managers, if any, swap riders depending on the opposition. Very little "tinkering" is done!
-
I get the point you are making that having Zach Cook "out of position" means he'll score less in the top 5, but isn't this countered by having say Ricard Lawson "out if position" at number 3, so scoring more than he would do if he was at 1 or 5?

Great news about the Brummies, here's a team for you! Birmingham 2022? Craig Cook 8.69 Erik Riss 7.84 Paco Castagna 5.52 Justin Sedgmen 5.52 James Shanes 4.88 Jack Thomas 4.79 Ashley Morris 4.68 Total 41.92 -
Bear in mind you only need to finish 6th out of 11 to reach the play-offs, so win at home & get results against weaker sides away & you can win the league!
-
I think it would be a mistake to sign Gappmaier, when you have more points to play with. Ideally want to build as close to 42 as possible!
-
If Poole build a team like this, they can expect to get say 36 points from the heat leaders, that means the remaining 4 only have to score 2/3 points each to win! Nothing wrong with building top-heavy! Poole 2022? Steve Worrall 9.05 Danny King 8.99 Richard Lawson 8.51 Ben Cook 5.31 Zach Cook 4.40 Drew Kemp 3.72 Ablitt / Mulford 2.00 Total 41.98
-
I've not read anything from Lawson or Poole & Plymouth said very little so there's no "facts" to go on! Naturally fans will have to make their own minds up in situations like these!
-
But what if a team is missing 3 or 4 riders?

Plymouth Gladiators 2022

If you have a reserve like Archie Freeman or Luke Crang who score 0 most weeks it makes sense to put them at number 6, giving them the hardest rides & putting your stronger reserve at 7 to score more in heats 4,8,12&14. For a team like Glasgow who could put Sedgmen at 6 to beat opposition second strings & Bailey at 7 to beat opposition reserves it makes sense to put the stronger rider at 6. However if you put a weak reserve at number 6 you're basically running with a 6 man team as you won't expect them to score anything after heat 2! -
I agree, I think King's Lynn will finish in the top 4.
-
Surely not - but you never know with British Speedway!
-
If Zagar is very expensive I wouldn't go for him, no point risking the club for one rider!
-
Lets be serious, this is hardly a "solid" Championship side! Wolverhampton Luke Becker 10.43 Sam Masters 9.41 Steve Worrall 9.05 Nick Morris 8.61 Ryan Douglas 7.74 Leon Flint 5.89 Drew Kemp 3.72 Total 54.85

I'm assuming the PJL will be far weaker than the likes of Hume riding in it! Also plans for last year was 2 home & 2 away matches, so the number 8 wouldn't be at all the matches with the junior team anyway!
