Farewell Brandon - A Video Fly By
DSC67 replied to SpeedwayTShirts's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Very sad to see but it's a typical tactic of an owner of a site/building when they're refused planning permission, you just allow it to crumble and become dangerous, & dilapidated then eventually the planning permission will be granted as the local authorities will be glad to get rid of an ugly eyesore . -
Need a strong pairing for ht 14

Has Georgie Wood signed fior Eastbourne yet , won't be at Berwick if he does
-
NBJ signs up then 5 down two too go

I heard it was a few hundred pounds they paid for him IF Ryan Blacklock is fit and available then I'd give him a punt . He looked quite decent what little we saw of of him last season
-
Seems a bit strange to buys Jye's contract then loan him back

Vissing off to Glasgow

Alex Edberg !! I'd rather have Muir Templeton or Mick McCluskey
-
Does this now mean that riders won't have to have a minimum of 3 rides each ?
-
I'd say attendances at Berwick where up at the start of the season but that's to be expected with a new promotion in place , they dipped after the Glasgow ht 15 fiasco, then seemed to be about the normal towards the end of the season , local derbies at the end certainly helped as far as I'm aware the management seem pretty happy with crowd levels but of course would always be happy to see more folks coming through the turnstiles

I thought fines went to the Ben fund ?

Have Nigel & Kelvin been reading this thread between heats ?

I'm sure Ronnie Russell had a track drying machine but I can't ever remember it being used

Berwick V Sheffield 16/09/2017 @ 7pm
DSC67 replied to screm's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Really enjoyed last nights meeting, a great way to end the season . I have to say though the ice of the victory was very surprising, I know Sheffield had some bad luck but that's speedway, we've had a fair bit of bad luck ourselves this season . Good strong performances all the way down for Berwick can't complain about any of our guests they all filled in admirably , Kyle Howarth showed is liking for the Berwick circuit and was great to watch , I have to admit though that Josh Bates gave me a few heart stopping moments though . There certainly seems to be a feel good factor at Berwick at the moment and it's great to go into a close season without having to worry about next year for a change . -

A tough end to what's been a tough season . Will the winning streak continue ? It's going to take all the riders to be on their best form if we are to round the season off with a win , losing Jye just made an already hard match even harder , just hope it's a decent meeting with some good racing and everyone stays safe. Best of luck goes to Nick tonight , pity about the fixture clash but I guess that's just the way things are in modern day speedway -
Poole V Swindon Semi Final 1st Leg 11/9/17

Are you JCF in disguise ? -
Early on in this meeting I was a bit worried that things were looking a bit dodgy for The Bandits , we dropped some easy points (Danny & BTD)) , and passing was looking difficult, but we prevailed and great performances from David, Jye , Kev & Nick got us home fairly comfortably . Erik Riss is a class act and his longtrack style is perfectly suited to Berwick , if he'd hit the front there's no one who'd of caught him . Be a tough test next Saturday night with no Nick and guests thin on the ground, but hopefully we can keep the rum going and end what's been a tough season on a high . Be nice to hear an announcement about the signing of a couple of riders always gives the supporters something to look forward too next season but I don't think that will happen until the promotion knowing what the league set up is going to be next season

Good to read conformation in this weeks programme that the " One of The Worst Newcomers " in the league is now a fully fledged Bandit

I was always told it was a crows foot every day , not sure how you convert that into minutes though
