  1. We don't do the business in the big heats it's as simple as that , added to the that Liam was a passenger last night and when you're already a rider down you can't afford that . On the plus side both Kevin and Claus seem to have found some speed art last . There was a lot of good racing last night just a shame about the result
  2. Personally I think any club that would force a disabled persons carer to pay to get in should be ashamed of themselves . There's plenty other free loaders who get in for nowt that they should be cracking down on
  3. Really looking for Liam to kick on this year , the no2 race jacket is always a big ask for any rider , perhaps a spell back at reserve might help if him and Danny switch when the new green sheets come out
  4. Berwick might manage a slight improvement on their previous showing , but I'm not that hopeful
  5. If you don't make starts or get heat winners you ain't going to win meetings it's as simple as that . Our no2 scored 2+2 theirs a guy who has never seen the place before scored 7 says it all really . Tough period ahead for the Bandits but if things don't improve after the away match at Glasgow I can see changes being
  6. I'd say this is a bit of a dead rubber Can't remember th e last time the Bandits won a match by more than 30 points ,and I don't think it will happen tomorrow night
  7. Decent meeting last night with some cracking racing and some good times as well . A healthy crowd is always good to see and I think most would go home happy . Berwick look a little undercooked but that's to be expected at this time of year .
  8. Check the date the statement was released
  9. Mike Parker was against the opening of a track at Berwick as he we'd only last a few weeks and they'd be left with an unfulfilled fixture list , 50yrs later I think its safe to say he got that one wrong
  10. That would be my next question then , when does it expire ? And if Sky pull out does this annul the contract with Go Speed ?
  11. With a new promotion in place , a new look team and the fact it's the 50 year celebration at Berwick I'd expect the crowds to be up initially, if they stay that way all season will depend on how the team performs I'd guess
  12. Is there any reason the BSPA can't dump Terry Russell and negotiate their own deal ?
  13. Don' t see where the problem is Nigel is not an employee of Sky TV , he's freelance is he not ? He also commentates on talkSport and does newspaper work as well
  14. Wrong I attend plenty live speedway meetingsover the course of the season but It's a wee bit difficult for me to attend a live meeting in Poole or somewhere else's that's 200 miles + away when I live in The Scottish Borders , so I watch it live on Sky instead
  15. Stop feeding the Troll , you'll only encourage him
  16. Berwick can be your wee team now The Rockets are in the Big League
  17. There was at one time a minimum points limit too ,to stop promotions putting out week teams , but that hasn't operated in years , and there was an abundance of riders back then
  18. a How many meetings is he likely to miss through his continental commitments ?
  19. Never ridden at the middle level , moved from the old conference league straight to EL level Out of 100 guesses Bridger would've been. no 101 , bit of a signing out of the blue , only time will tell
  20. when he was at reserve he was getting 6 maybe 7 starts when he's at number 4 or 2 he'll only get 4
  21. What have the various betting sites done/said about this little bit of race fixing ? Surely " The Grins " withdrawal affects the odds on the races he missed and the outcome of the meeting . In horse racing if a is withdrawn a certain amount is deducted from the winnings paid
