  1. Have Nigel & Kelvin been reading this thread between heats ?
  2. I'm sure Ronnie Russell had a track drying machine but I can't ever remember it being used
  3. Really enjoyed last nights meeting, a great way to end the season . I have to say though the ice of the victory was very surprising, I know Sheffield had some bad luck but that's speedway, we've had a fair bit of bad luck ourselves this season . Good strong performances all the way down for Berwick can't complain about any of our guests they all filled in admirably , Kyle Howarth showed is liking for the Berwick circuit and was great to watch , I have to admit though that Josh Bates gave me a few heart stopping moments though . There certainly seems to be a feel good factor at Berwick at the moment and it's great to go into a close season without having to worry about next year for a change .
  4. A tough end to what's been a tough season . Will the winning streak continue ? It's going to take all the riders to be on their best form if we are to round the season off with a win , losing Jye just made an already hard match even harder , just hope it's a decent meeting with some good racing and everyone stays safe. Best of luck goes to Nick tonight , pity about the fixture clash but I guess that's just the way things are in modern day speedway
  5. Almost lost the will to carry on while watching this., the constant re-runs had my finger hovering over the delete button , glad it wasn't watching it live or I definitely would have started channel hopping .
  6. Early on in this meeting I was a bit worried that things were looking a bit dodgy for The Bandits , we dropped some easy points (Danny & BTD)) , and passing was looking difficult, but we prevailed and great performances from David, Jye , Kev & Nick got us home fairly comfortably . Erik Riss is a class act and his longtrack style is perfectly suited to Berwick , if he'd hit the front there's no one who'd of caught him . Be a tough test next Saturday night with no Nick and guests thin on the ground, but hopefully we can keep the rum going and end what's been a tough season on a high . Be nice to hear an announcement about the signing of a couple of riders always gives the supporters something to look forward too next season but I don't think that will happen until the promotion knowing what the league set up is going to be next season
  7. Good to read conformation in this weeks programme that the " One of The Worst Newcomers " in the league is now a fully fledged Bandit
  8. I was always told it was a crows foot every day , not sure how you convert that into minutes though
  9. I wasn't quite sure how last nights meeting was going to go , I'd expected a stiffer challenge from The Diamonds. Having Kelsey at reserve instead of JPB didn't really affect us that much as the performance of both Hopwood & Bowtell cancelled him out . Robbo has had better nights at Shielfield guess his recent busy schedule might have caught up with both man and machine and it took Steve Worrall to ht 15 before he picked up a win . Ricky Wells picked some early practice for next Saturday night and will be looking to continue in a similar vein. For Berwick it was another good solid performance with everyone except Jye picking up a win , hopefully we can continue next weekend, but there's a tough looking visit to Foxhall Heath to come first.
  10. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/h/heart_of_midlothian/6098198.stm https://www.theguardian.com/football/2007/feb/12/match.kilmarnock His career as an assistant ref in football was about as good as his one as a speedway ref
  11. This weeks article in the Speedway Star only says that both parties would be happy for him to return next year but it depends on weather we can fit him in
  12. It's the first sign of madness , or so they say
  13. I hope Danny can make some starts tonight he rarely seems to have much of an impact when he doesn't make a decent gate .Connor Coles at No 7 certainly weakens us IMHO . Hopefully R/R will continue to give us a decent return but tonight's opposition is a lot tougher than the previous two weeks have been . I expect this one to go all the way to Ht 15 again
  14. If Glasgow where to get promoted would they look to change their race night to avoid clashes with GPs and other continental meetings , would fans be as keen to turn up in numbers on a weekday evening , it would certainly affect the amount of traveling supporters attending meetings
  15. No matter which club a particular rider lines up for it seems to me that they're on a hiding to nothing , one set of fans is going to accuse him of not trying
  16. I'd say the crowd was kind of what you'd expect given the opposition and that there was very little but bragging rites up for grabs due to,the league status of both clubs . Shame really because they missed an entertaining evening
  17. Well done to Craig. , a real shot in the arm for British Speedway, having another Brit in the GP series can't be a bad thing
  18. Another good nights racing and a deserved win , I wouldn't be too disappointed to see JPB's name on next years team sheet , he rode hard for just the single point he got ,always gives 100%
  19. Another candidate for foot in mouth disease , maybe you should check your facts before posting nonsense
  20. You need stronger medication the stuff you're taking ATM obviously isn't working
